So this year I have brought 10 £1 jars from Ikea and I'm going to fill them with Christmas themed sweets then tie a ribbon round with a candy cane and make my own gift tags!
I have figured that it will work out to around £3 per child, which I know some of my family will be disappointed with as they spend around £10 on our presents. So I was trying to find a way of incorporating a £5 note into them? Or 5 £1 coins..

EDIT - It's a 'stocking filler site' thread0 -
Def second all the comments about the "Better Christmas" app - thank you, it's already making my life a lot easier and saves me having to write in code in my big pad! Already ds has discovered it on my phone and his face was a picture when he found it was password protected - ha ha ha!
I'm still playing about with it and have just got to work out how to swap presents about as I'm also buying presents for my children on behalf on their grandparents/great grandparents etc., and I normally order a load of different presents and then allocate nearer to Christmas so each person is giving a variety of things rather than one grandparent is giving all toys and the other all clothes, plus I have our own that we buy them inc. their stocking, etc.,~ What's for you, won't go past you! ~0 -
Just managed to catch up on all the posts over the weekend!
I've been trying to jot down all my ideas but seem to be going round in circles. I'm off work tomorrow so going to get some proper lists done and then will start my shopping this weekend.
Watched nativity last night and was thrilled to read online earlier there is a sequel out in late November. Can't wait!0 -

I make skittles vodka quite regular...anytime a family member/friend is having a party infact as I find it goes down well in drinking games...the green one definitely doesn't go brown but is by far the yummiest0 -
Hi everybody I've been AWOL for a while- bit low feeling sorry for myself etc and look what happens to this thread when I turn my back. I've got about 30pages to catch up on but just wanted to pop a few thanks on first.
Huge hugs and thank you to all who helped at the beginning of the month :-) it means so much it's hard to explain. You are such a kind thoughtful bunch over the past few weeks have brought a tear to my eye. (Although I am over emotional at the moment)
Special thank yous to (now where is that list)
Sugarspun for the flight advise - who knew my lovely neighbour sells long haul flights for a living. He is now checking prices regularly for the best deal/options.
Rosygirl, Chickywiggle and Choccymoose for help with pressie ideas for our VVDGD. Apparently amazon uk did free international deliveries last Christmas time (including Australia) that would be fab. Alternatively I've been researching online toy stores in Oz which will let me pay from here and deliver wrapped to Perth :-)
Moneysavingmumofone what I lovely idea sharing things online with VVDGD I've made a note of the site you suggested to have a proper look at.
BBTHREE it was you who brought the tears to my eyes. What a really lovely thing to think of. I'd love to meet up at Bents but don't drive:( and my DH is not the most patient chauffeur! Thank you so much the thought means so very much to me. I love this thread:-) Thank you xxx
I hope you can tell I'm looking at the changes in all our lives more positively now although still have a little weep most days:(
I'm decorating at home at the mo finding you can't cry when you are up a ladder with a roller:-)
