When I had lots of cats and no husband or child I used to make the cats scrambled eggs for their breakfasts, a proper chicken dinner each and gravy and veg, custard, then they'd have their cat treats on the afternoon and chicken and whatever for their tea, was the one day in the year they never had cat food (bar the cat treats). they used to enjoy themselves a treat cos I'd also have the fire on form getting up to going to bed.
They also used to send cards to each other and to me, and me to them... and to their cat friends in the street and sometimes they'd get one back! (would also do this for valentines day)
Now I am ''normal'' they just get their normal food but I buy them treats, cat nip drops, toys etc. I never leave them out.1,2 & 5p: Christmas day food £9.31
10 & 20p: misc savings £2.70
50p: Christmas presents £3.50
£2: holidays £2.000 -
aww i have just spent £90 in argos on toys for this xmas! i could have waited until next week if id have known it was going to be 3 for 2! never mind i have some more to buy next week too.
as i have given up smoking i decided to use the money on xmas presents as soon as i get paid, otherwise if i had spare money id either buy a packet of fags or swindle it away on burger kings!!!!
by my reckoning i think my 3 kids should be done by mid oct and everyone else (except dh as he always decides what he wants last minute!) should be finished by mid - november!
i have 2 more toys for ds1 to buy about 7 for dd and ds2 is finished. so not doing too bad !
i love the pinatas, im sorry i cant remember who posted them
as said above, dh decides what he wants last minute, but im hoping to get enough money (when everything else has been paid) to get him a new fone as his blackberry has broken and he has had to go to my old tocco which he hates.
then hopefully will have the money for whatever he wants also. i plan on spoiling him this year as weve had a rough one and he deserves to be spoilt a bitMummy to ds 29/12/06 dd 10/2/08 ds 25/5/11:Amy angel born too soon 18/11/12, always with me Emmie Faith:A15 projects in 2015 10/15completed0 -

My boyfriend also waits till the last minute to decide what he wants it he will tell me something then change his mind once I've got it it is so annoying!! I want to spoil my big this year too as he has had a really bad year with both his mum && uncle being diagnosed with cancer && it dosnt look like his uncle will be here at Xmas and his aunt died this year too so he has been though a rough patch he has also been my rock this year through my depression && anxiety I just have no idea hat to get him!! I'm hoping to do as many surveys and stuff and sell as much on eBay as possible to get him something really special!!
I have 3 dogs & 2 cats that all get treats && toys of some sort although they do just have normal food on Xmas day as we have dinner at families they do get a dinner on boxing day though && cats get whatever meat although one only eats his cat food!! My dogs get a dinner every Sunday!! They are my babies and are spoilt!!
Tomorrow I plan on sitting down and doing a proper list of who I have to et for and what they are getting!! I'm then goin tongi through what I already have!! Over the weekend I'm going to sort the spare room out and put the stuff for eBay to one side for the next free listing weekend!! I really need to get more organised!!0 -

Thanks to the poster who said about Argos 3 for 2 next week. I got a lot of the girls' presents in Argos last year. I've been saving my vouchers from my surveys, Pinecone etc so will have a bit to spend hopefully. Also if you plan to buy from Boots buy the gift cards from Morrisons as for every £10 you spend you get 1p of a litre of petrol. You can add them all together as well to get up to 50p off a litre.
To the person who asked about Boots 3 for 2 - it lasts until Christmas Eve but the Boots sale now starts about lunchtime on Christmas Eve - everything is then half price but the 3 for 2 stops.
DD's have started to make lists for me but I've been buying since August with vouchers so really haven't set a budget. My 7 year old likes the Lego Friends. One of the new packs was £50 over here. My friend went to Disney in Florida and went to the Lego store - got is for £33 for me. Lego is sooooo much cheaper in the USA but you can't find anyone who will post to the UK - very frustrating!!!!:mad:0 -
Have seen this thread floating about , but never posted on it.
I am a real saddo when it comes to Christmas presents. Most of mine are got in January. But that's not really the sad bit.
The sad bit is my Christmas Present phone app. It has pictures of everyone I buy for. Under their picture are further pictures of the presents I have got them. It tells me where I bought them, how much they cost, if they're wrapped.
It has a budget planner. There are different categories,Family, Freinds, Colleagues etc.
It tells me what I got people last year, so I don't repeat gifts.
Best of all, it needs a code to open :j so no prying eyes
I actually think I would cry if I lost my list.:o0
