    Mine came today too.
Now I just have to remember to cancel the membership in time.

mine just arrived too :) the freebie mentions something on lid about 'enjoy Free-ly' - Im guessing so you can't refund it in store, so may not gift it but do what ChirpyChick suggested and split it into nice cellophane bags as gift instead. The chocolates are use by March 13 so keeping them in cool understairs cupboard for Christmas
  • anyone who shops in Sainsburys but doesnt use their online ordering - worth keeping an eye out, as I got a till spit for 2400 nectar points when I place my first online order for delivery before 30th September, min spend £60. £12 of Nectar points will pay for stocking chocolates, advent calendars, bottle of wine and some nice Christmas nibbles - same offers online I get instore so as long as it doesn't cost me more I'm going to place an online order next week - does anyone use their delivery service?
  • Has anyone ever purchased the Christmas-opoly instead of The Rudolph one as seen here

Just wondered as I haven't heard anyone mention it or is it the same thing?

Spreading a little Christmas joy all year round :santa2:
  • Haha - well there aren't many left. I suppose it's not technically the rudolph one......so he hasn't said no to this one :D
  • Does anyone have a list or plan for how to organise food shopping. Every year my DH goes mad and wants to buy loads of stuff that ends up getting wasted - well not this year. This year I will be organised - she says with her fingers crossed x

I still try to meal plan as normal, you may eat something special/different to usual xmas eve/xmas day/boxing day and then any treat food which you like but don't have often ours includes things like green & blacks ice cream, Cartmels sticky toffee pudding, dd loves trifle to name a few, definitely doesn't get wasted in our house!

I suppose it depends on what you're buying thats getting wasted?

Thanks Noodles - it's fresh food mostly - colslaw (sp!!), brandy butter/cream etc. He likes a little bit for Xmas but then the rest of us don't eat it and it goes to waste. I'll just have to buy small containers and make sure I shop online!

It's called Better Christmas . (Andrew Grant)

The picture is of Santa holding a yellow note pad.

It also lists all the shops you need to go to and have been to. You can enter a present you haven't got yet. Then when you go shopping, you can go into the store list, and it will tell you what you need to get in each shop.

I've just downloaded it and will fill it in with the pressies I have already bought - thank you.

Does anyone know the best place to get advent calenders? The children like to have a chocolate one and then we have a lovely wooden train that I put chocolates in as well.

Looking forward to Boots and Argos shopping next week :j
  • i know someone had mentioned the better christmas app, so i thought id have a look and see what else there was.

i have just downloaded an app called xmas tale. my 2yr old loves it, will show my 5 yr old when he gets home.

it tells you the story of christmas, you can read it or have it read to you. you can also touch things on the screen, like the snowman, stockings etc and they do different things.

our favourite bit is the page with mr & mrs clause sat by the fire. if you click on the microphone button you can add a message, so for santa i said ho ho ho, merry christmas, then said their names, and it changed my voice to sound like his, you can to that for mrs clause aswell.

and its free, so a really good app.
    **Waiting for a BIG win!**

    Thank you all posters!
