Just got quite a few cheap stocking filler bits on Baker Ross, like 6 Christmas activity books for £1.80! Good if you have to do stockings for a few kiddos.

Calendar wise I normally do photo ones but since this year Pea is arriving in 3 weeks I didnt think it would be good to have 12 months of Pip and a newborn piccys so I have just ordered these:

Pip can decorate them with pens and stickers and stuff then next year we can go back to the photo ones. Sure the grannys and Aunties will love these just as much as they are very personal.
Ive used Baker Ross lots of times and never been disappointed.Debt at LBM [strike]£17,544[/strike] £5700:TOver £14,000 PAID OFF :T
2020 the year of less - Less debt, less waste, less spending, less stuff, less stress!0 -
Hope no one minds me posting this here but I have entered my baby into a wee comp and would love the extra votes.

Possession - Ooh I had Pirouette Sindy, you basically held her hand and spun her around yourself lol but I loved it.
I really wanted Shaving Ken one year and I ended up with two. (one from my Mum and one from someone else) It never worked properly, you needed boiling hot water for it to even work a bit (the hair disappeared when water touched it then reappeared or was supposed to lol) so my mum wasnt impressed with it and even exchanged it at Argos but the new one was the same lol. I didnt realise Monster High was so popular, they had a vanity desk dolls set in Tesco for £4.75 today so may be in other tescos too.
noodles86- Lol my OH used to leave the front door open all the time, one morning I woke up and the front door had been half open all night!! Luckily?! we live in a block of flats so it wasnt visible from the street!! I quadruple check and quadruple check again now! Keep an eye on amazon for bananagrams as Im sure its often reduced at christmas time. The London 2012 edition is a bit cheaper than the normal edition at the moment. A fab website I discovered from here is www.camelcamelcamel.com you can set up an email alert for when something on amazon goes to the price you'd like.Have fun shopping tomorrow. :rudolf:
Popped to Sainsburys/tesco today, got a really cute plush crocodile pencil case for £1.19 for DS' stocking and a Dr Who set of badges/stickers/bag charm for £1.25. Bought the 1st xmas food too, 5 chocolate elves for £1 lol. Tesco had big rolls of white paper for 30p! So got 3 and will make wrapping paper with DS! Tesco had a christmas food aisle but I want gifts and decs!I forgot to say I went into Wilkinsons the other day and they had half a row of gifts, I LOVE their stuff. I got the caravan birdhouse last year (for my bedroom as I dont have a garden!) and this year they have a house shaped one which is gorgeous! And lovely bird print stuff.

Hi everyone!
I'm so happy I've found this page! I love Christmas but everyone one I know keeps telling me off for talking about it so much. Haha.
I've only bought one present so far but got lots of ideas. Also got lots of family and friends with birthdays between now and Christmas so started eyeing up some bargains, now just need to sort out some lists and then I can start buying.
Been reading back over some of the old posts and loved some of the ideas for hampers may have to think about those as options for presents0 -
I am currently watching National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation - it's been ages - years, since I last saw it.
Is it terrible that I am sitting here thinking "It must cost a fortune to light that house" and "how many gifts does one family need" and "what idiot puts down that much of a deposit when the rest of the money isn't guaranteed" ROFL I hope I'm not turning into the grinchEverything is always better after a cup of tea0 -
