  • ooooh thanks! I may give them a call and see if mine is on it's way too

just checked my Amazon basket (I keep everything in it that I'm wanting to get and check it daily to see if anything has come down) the game that dropped by £8 yesterday has gone back up by £5, so am glad I ordered it after all!
  • Sorry I can't find it back - For the person doing a burger hamper - how about squeeze sauce bottles - like you'd get in an American diner? I'm sure I've seen them in the poundshops - one red and one yellow? You could leave for recipient to fill or fill them with mustard/ketchup.

You can also make your own ketchup, I'm not sure which celebrity chef does it, but you could always make up some in a jar for them.

    A pack of napkins?
  • ordered that lovely Christmas mug in a tin from Disney, just a little word of caution, (its lovely tho!) the description says it includes a matching coaster, which wasnt in mine, so I called them and they checked it out - the coaster is an error in the description and isn't included, so they are correcting it. They did give me a part refund and apologised and dealt with it very well, but just in case others were thinking of ordering it, there is no coaster.

Lovely Christmassy tin and mug though, great for a gift

Ooooo, I like this thread. Can I join please

I'm not as organised as all of you seem to be tho! Only just started thinking about christmas in the last week or so and I thought I was being super early and organised this year :rotfl::rotfl:

I've only had a quick skim over the last few pages and already picked up lots of tips.

I love the christmas housework planner - going to have a proper look at that later on.

I also love the hampers ideas - especially things like the burger hamper (SIL would love this!).

Can't wait to pick up lots of other tips along the way :T
 Married my lobster in July 2011

  • Hi,

Just a quick one to tell those who were worried about the shelf life on Christmas Thorntons items currently on promotion. I purchased the Advent Calendars and some gift tag chocolates and contacted them. They assured me that the best before date is May next year.

Sorry if this is mentioned on any other threads already. I'm only following this one at the moment.
  • I'm not scare mongering but I would recommend, if you plan on doing a lot of your shopping online this year to do it sooner rather than later. I have read various long range forecasts that say this year is going to be as bad if not worse that a few years ago and I know so many parcels got lost/ruined and arrived late.
If the long range forecast is wrong, no harm done, plenty of time to relax and enjoy the season.

On a plus side, I decided to sell the wooden advent calendars that I was talking about as hubby and I have chocolate ones and I want to make the baby sock one next year and they have so many watchers and are going for such a more reasonable amount than I expected which might mean ill be able to get hubby his mug afterall :D
Everything is always better after a cup of tea

Which sites do you look at for long range forecasting? Thanks
