  • Had a lovely productive child free day yesterday in town yesterday. Didn't buy a lot but finalised a lot of my list, Still not a lot in our 3 different poundlands (and no Disney tins booooo). Got a pack of the money wallets as i'm buying my various nieces and nephews vouchers.

Had a quick nip into Disney store but nothing in there yet. Really want to see the Disney calendars in the flesh. Both DDs are going to start there lists as well so that should help. The only problem that dd2 is only 5 and doesn't know the proper name of everything. She said she wants the minnie mouse painting thingy, now I think she means the minnie mouse shaker maker but i'm not a 100%.

Really hoping that Argos do there 3 for 2 on toys that they usually do late September, that will really help me out.

Just started looking through Pinterest and I swear Ive lost hours to it already, the christmas ideas are amazing, seriously thinking about doing the Christmas elf this year.

Snugglebunny8 you have found the olympics cheaper than the site above but they can be a good starting point for anyone dvd or game shopping.

  • Hello everybody,

I am back after a week or so away and I have alot of catching up to do, we were on page 94 last time I checked in.

I am going to do some hampers this year for the first time I am going to do a red wine hamper and cooking hamper but I am stuck for ideas, so far I have

    Red Wine
    Wine Aerator
    Bottle of red wine
    500 red wines book
thinking of adding cheese board and grapes, not sure what else?

    Cooking
    Burger cookbook
    Burger press
I really have no idea what to add, please feel free to help with ideas

I have been busy getting together some new ideas for our elf visitors and sorting out what presents I have. I am doing well for DD but for DS I have nothing, he really wants the lego millenium falcon but I am reluctant to spend £130 on it:eek:

I am now off to bed and will catch up with the past 30 odd pages, will be back soon

that's the link in the email, I don't know if it only applies to those who have left/used them before? I wouldn't think it does looking at it, as I didn't use the same email address as I had used previously when I was with them and it let me do it ok :)

Thanks for the link, fingers crossed it works ok, got a reply email just saying thanks for your order but alas no invoice so I'll not open the chocs until I know what I'm paying :o
  • curiouscrafter Im doing my 11 year old daughter a baking hamper, ideas so far are... How to bake (book from great british bake off) cooling rack, scales, bun cases, timer, rolling pin, wooden spoons, whisk, apron, cake tins, cookie cutters, piping bags and nozzles...

She loves to bake and excluding the getting out of oven part I can trust her to do her thing! (she could probly do the getting out of oven bit but I dont let her yet)

Im also doing my 10 year old daughter a hamper which hasnt got a name... shes a notebook freak so its writing paper, books, notepads, stationery and maybe a few personalised items that Ive found on ebay.

Its hard when they get older because they want things which are more expensive which means they get less to open....I know its what they want but I keep thinking their pressies will look bad next to my 4 year olds but what can I do?

Just have no idea what to get her for Xmas was going to make her a sweet hamper and get her some nice pjs and some other bits but she has enough sweets till last till next Xmas and enough pjs to last her about 5 years so now I'm stuck might just see what she says she needs and get her that!!

Is she the sort of person who would appreciate thoughtful and funny gifts? Like a couple of single slippers and a pedicure set so she can look after the one she has left? More seriously, her one leg will be under a lot of strain so muscle rubs/Body Shop peppermint leg spray etc might be a good idea.

If you open a junk email account and sign up to Vistaprint you'll be able to get lots of personalised items only for postage. Just don't use your regular account

Week Three of the Houseworks Holiday Plan has me cleaning our bedroom and making it pretty. Since DH is still snoozing in there, however, I can linger over my cuppa.

Just open the account and watch the free offers come pouring in :)

Artscow.com is also good for that, if you sign up and then look at the discounts and credit option in your account.

must admit I thought it odd they didnt ask for card details to guarantee payment so I called them, they said they will send invoice with chocolates and you call to pay or send cheque - Envelope is on the outside of the box, so you will definaty be able to see the invoice before you open the chocs, hope its ok! :) xx
