This thread is getting me in so much trouble.... people are swearing at me to go away... only cause I talking about Christmas! LOL
Off to dd1's confirmation this morning. She loves looking beautiful and nagged me to twist her dreadlocks so they hang right and gave me instructions on how she wants it up. Finding 2 hours to do this on an already hectic weekend caused me to have to have a beer, She was even telling dd2 and me what to wear. As there's only me I can never get to grips on where this girly girly stuff comes from as i'm a tom boy at heart!
Picked up a moshi monster advent calendar yesterday for the pound shop but forgot to pick one for me which is just not on!!Don’t put it down - put it away!

a couple of years ago it snowed really heavy here over Christmas, i'd never seen anything like it, it came up to my windowsills, i loved it and would love some more this year (it did drag on abit though, we had frozen snow on the ground for about 3 weeks, and not just a sprinkling, inches thick in places) i'll try and post a pic of outside my house later.
off to an autumn fair today so hoping to pick up a few bitsSkint, but happy (ish):p0 -
off to an autumn fair today so hoping to pick up a few bits
I would love to go to an autumn fair but they don't seem to have anything like that near me. Only summer fairs and xmas fairs at the local schools and churches.Aims for 2014
Drink a glass of water a day, Empty handbag at least once a week, Continue "not putting things off" and tackle things head on, Treasure people around me, Stay healthy and well away from hospitals, Continue to declutter/decorate house slowly and not get stressed because I can't do everything at once.0 -
Hi everyone!
Same as every year i am loving these threads but im very much a lurker
I was wondering if anyone knew dates of when catalogues/websites go live? I know Mark's have a few bits on they're website.
I always buy new snow globes from there and i also need double christmas bedding from NEXT (did anyone see the VIP xmas preview-did they have any?) My boys had single beds last year but the eldest has changed to a double so need to get him another one he he
I have little led christmas lights around the head of the bed that run out of batteries ages ago so i replaced them last night and it made me feel super Christmassy!! I cant wait!
Have a lovely sunday

morning!
Hotel Chocolat Tasting Club have an intro offer, £7.95 incl delivery for their new 'tasting' box, its usually £19+ and with it you get a free £8 box of their nibbly things (chocolate nuts, raisens, coffee beans etc) for that price I thought it would be worth getting as can keep the lovely choccies for Christmas (they should keep ok in cold dark place) and the £8 free box will be a nice gift for my BILYou don't pay unfront or give card details, they said you get an invoice with delivery and just call to pay it or send cheque - you don't commit to any ongoing deliveries etc unless you want to.
thanks for the John lewis link ... I have no choice but to go and lurk there now!
I'm not a Trick or Treat fan either, mainly because my mum is elderly and couple of times she hadn't remembered it was Halloween and opened the door to have kids jump out from the shadows (just having fun, not being threatening!) but it really made her jump, not great for 80 year old!! I do worry a bit about old people and those who worry about answering the door after dark and then being worried they may get stuff damaged, those who forget and don't have sweets in etc. It isnt big round our way really, though I dont mind at all when it's early evening and they are small kids dressed up with adults with them, that's fine, it's when it's later on and people worry about not answering the door then thinking stuff may get damaged if they don't.
I'm the same about driving in the snow, I hate it, we seem to have a high percentage of bad drivers in our town and I worry about the way some of them drive too - also they don't seem to slow down in the ice and snow, and I have to park my car on the road, so I worry about somebody hitting it in the icy conditions. I'm a sunny, warm weather person - don't enjoy the cold too much!
For whoever was asking - they have Stollen in Sainsburys today
Anyone like, or know somebody who is into, 30 Rock? they have the series 5 dvd boxset £4.97 delivered on Amazon0 -
I too am coming out of hiding. Love, love , love Christmas! got very excited last night as Strictly was on tv, and well that means Christmas is nearly here!
Have been buying little presents all year, and hoarding them in the loft. Today I got my boys some love reduced stationary in S'burys, 90%off.
Have loved reding through the posts, it has taken me nearly all weekend!
Festive love to all

My Mum & I did one of these a while ago and we ended up with them trying to force us into spending over £300 on photos!
So if people do buy this just be forewarned and do your research.Everything is always better after a cup of tea0
