  • I have made progress today. I bought my nan (the one with alzheimers) a lavender scented fluffy heat pad from TK Maxx and also got a few other bits for my gift bags. I ordered my drinks miniatures online and also have all of my Christmas Tree decs for my gift bags.
I have cleared the spare room and have started filling the gift bags that I have items for and have set everything out neatly.

Kaymumof3 - sorry for your loss and I agree with everyone else about the nice memory table idea.
    princesskitty29 - Hope you have a lovely holiday - I'm jealous! :)
chirpychick - Neither me or the OH like turkey so we alternate between having galzed ham and roast beef.
onriebaby- I've had my heating on twice in the last week (I live in Yorkshire) but today was so warm, I feel sure I may have a bit of sunburn.
ShonaM - Nice shout out for those doing the Great North Run, I know quite a few people doing it. Good luck if anyone on here is doing it.

Sorry if I've missed anyone out - I find I miss so much in this thread as it updates so quickly.

Oooh Just had a Kleeneze christmas catalogue put through the door.

Normally I think that Kleeneze is just overprice tat, but...now its overpriced XMAS tat I am much more interested :D.

Possession - I am the complete opposite of you, as I love snow but I hate halloween. I confess to being the scrooge who takes the kids out for the night to the cinema or shopping rather than be mithered with the trick or treaters.

I am not so bothered about the smaller children who have dressed up and made a real effort and are with their parents. Its the older kids who wear a bin bag that annoy me, particularly if you do give sweets to one and they tell all their friends and suddenly you are indundated with kids.

I do like bonfire night and love fireworks, its just Halloween I don't like.

Am I the only grumpy Halloween hating meanie on here? :o
    Aims for 2014
Drink a glass of water a day, Empty handbag at least once a week, Continue "not putting things off" and tackle things head on, Treasure people around me, Stay healthy and well away from hospitals, Continue to declutter/decorate house slowly and not get stressed because I can't do everything at once. :D
