    I do but went a bit ott last year. Though it was for all three of us! Definitely put in new pjs for us all, loads of pic n mix! Xmas books/cds (which never had time to read/listen!) Think I need to go back to basics this year with just pjs, maybe an xmas teddy n some sweeties/popcorn and that be that!

    Christmas Eve hampers sound fab :) I'd love to make one this year! I'm not working at the moment, so I've been trying to keep myself away from the shops in case I buy things for myself!

    However, I did pick up one of those free lego toys as a stocking filler! I've been selling lots of old clothes and bits and bobs to make a few spare pennies at the moment, so I'll use that as my budget to look around for christmassy bits once I get a chance to travel to our nearest shopping centre :)

    i do xmas eve hampers for my kids, i love doing them!
    we always go for a walk to fruit shop to get our veg late on xmas eve afternoon and dh always 'forgets' his wallet so has to run back home ;) amazingly, when we return they have appeared:D

    ours are more of a 'calm down and get ready for bed' hamper
    last year they had,
    new pjs, slipper socks and dressing gowns
    character bath stuff (shampoos, body washes etc and a little bath toy)
    character beach towels, what they use when bathing (the year before it was character fleeces for watching films on the couch and the year before it was shaped pillows for their beds)
    xmassy cups (for hot chocolate before bed)
    choccys
    torches and reindeer dust (so we can sprinkle it in the dark)
    and i cant remeber what else there was!

    then on top of the staires there is a little selection of things that they dont need one of each. this is usually;
    santas cup and saucer to leave his milk and cookies in
    xmas themed book
    santa stop here sign to put in the garden
    and a note from santa to explain why he's left the hampers and telling them that he has hidden the magic key on the christmas tre (we have a chimney but no fireplace). the kids then need to find the key and hang it on the front door.
