Bought all the doggies treats today thanks to Asda and their rather strange reductions (also got a load of bread with 2 days left on them to freeze for 50p and under thanks to the bank holidays but that's another story)
They were selling smackos with Aug 2013 dates on them for 65p and a box of bones for the house with three dogs for a pound - got all 8 dogs and 2 cats done for just over a fiver
Everyone aside from my mum, dogs and grandad are done nowPrincess Sparklepants0 -
Well that's my first thing done and dusted off my Christmas list!
My cousin and I are swapping small gifts for our advent calendars this year, so 24 little parcels made up, wrapped and in a gift bag ready to give to her at the weekend!0 -
Gleek slow down it'll be no fun if you've nobody to shop for by the middle of June! Unless you are going to spread your Christmas Angel Dust and inspire us all.
Came back from hols with food poisioning13 days later it and it's nasty side effects have made me feel quite yuk:(
Sat snuggled on my sofa thinking about lists of lists and sorting my squirrelling out so I know who has what etc. As soon as I'm on the mend which muuusssstttt be any day now......The secret of Christmas
It's not the things you do at Christmastime

I've still got my mum to do (as well as grandad and the dogs) and she gets lots of little bits as she never wants anything big so it's an ongoing thingNot in any rush to finish, just taking advantage of the cheaper prices (things always seem cheaper when it's not November/December)
Hope you feel better lovely, that's not good at allPrincess Sparklepants0 -

MSE has a lot to answer for.....I'm now offically addicted to making hampers! :rotfl::rotfl:
Been buying bits and bobs for the last two months....just checked on my 'stash' of goodies and am feeling really pleased
Managed to get a popcorn maker for a fiver as the box was damaged; DS is getting a movie hamper so don't need the box anyway. Got a lovely book from WHSMith which comes in a cine-reel tin - £11.99 but worth it! Also got a couple of DVD's (£3 each ASDA) and a movie game (49p The Works).
DD - was struggling to come up with ideas but have decided on a Party Girl hamper - so far got cocktail glasses (£2.99), a book on how to make cocktails (29p in The Works) and a Purple Ronnie Party Games in a tin (49p The Works)
Son in Law - Golf hamper - beginning to wish I'd not started this one as I've discovered golf is a really expensive hobby:eek:
If anyone has ideas for cheap stuff please let me know!
Managed to so far get a golf joke book (£1.99 The Works), a brush cleaning thing for clubs (£1 Home & Bargains), socks (£5 for two pairs), a beanie hat (£8- BHS)....have got my eye on a few extra bits from Play.com
Daughter in Law will be getting a winter suggle hamper - not got much yet; so far, a hot water bottle (£1.99 B&M) and a romantic novel (29p The Works). ....need to get cracking with this one I think
My Sisters candle hamper is now finished!:T
BIL - been looking for chilli sauces etc for a Hot Hot Hot hamper but, up to now, a lot of the use by dates are too short so going to hold on for a bit.
I was planning a real ale hamper for my dad but he's now decided to jet off to the USA for Christmas so need another idea! He's really awkward to buy for....doesn't smoke/drink and is at that stage in his life where he has disposable income.
All my hampers, (wicker baskets £2.99 and tote bags 2.99) have so far been bought in the sale at Store 21. Am thinking of decorating a cardboard box as a 'popcorn box' for the movie hamper- ideas on how to achieve this welcomed please as I'm not very arty/ crafty!Stopped smoking 20th October 2012

Archiebear, how about a travel hamper for your dad...new set of luggage tags, travel guide, travel gadgets, etc; for his trip...the pound shop has loads of travel stuff
And how about red and White strips of paper to cover your box to make a popcorn box?!0 -
Oh and this is a great site, I think ff15 is the code for 10% off, this golf ball money box is a pound, worth ordering if u find lots of things to order from this site

"how about a travel hamper for your dad...new set of luggage tags, travel guide, travel gadgets, etc; for his trip..."
my Dad has all the travel tags etc as he's a frequent traveller abroad but after thinking on what you said, I'm going to do an 'All American' hamper with tour guides etc so he can take it with him!
"And how about red and White strips of paper to cover your box to make a popcorn box?!"
I'm going to practice on a mini popcorn box to see how it all looks before spending out on loads of paper and wasting it all lolStopped smoking 20th October 2012
