Carla arid sorry about the willywonka film. I don't know what I'd do if I couldn't watch it. I read the book a long time ago and read the follow up book Charlie and the great glass elevator could never work out why there wasn't a 2nd film.

oh chrissy poor you having birthday and Christmas together. mind you I wouldn't mind Santa on my cake anytime of year..

on a bit of an holiday at the moment so won't be doing much organising . I could do with a break though , I'll still be looking out for bargains though lol

Haven't done much Christmassy stuff lately.

Starting to panic a bit over cross stitch I had done for family members. I have stitched them all (11 all together) a square 4" by 4". Each design is a different Christmas design, angel, snowman, tree etc...I had started thinking I was going to make them into little cushions, but now I think they might look cheap. Last year I stitched them all stockings, so this year will look so tiny. Then I thought maybe making them into little bags and filling them with sweets, but then what about the adults ... 2 aunts, 2 uncles and the rest cousins. And I don't really want to buy anything else for the adults as that defeats the purpose of getting items cheaply...

    AARRRRGGGG !!!
    ;)I HAVE NOTHING TO SAY;)

How about you frame them? In the type of frame which stands up rather than goes on the wall? Then every Christmas they can be brought out with the rest of decorations and sat on the sideboard or mantle? Or if you want to make a cushion style thing, you could add a hanging loop so this could be hung from a door handle or drawer as a decoration?

May be better than a small cushion which may be 'lost' on the sofa, or a bag which couldn't really be displayed?

Every year I make the Delia Smith puddings. They are not cheap to make and quite hard work for an oldie like me. Then there is the steaming kitchen all day. And, more often than not, the one I keep for myself ends up with a little nibble out of it and it gets chucked a couple of weeks after Christmas.

This year I am not making puds at all. There, I've said it now, so will have to keep to that even when I get the pudding making urge around Novemeber.

I bought some lovely little silver pudding charms from Cox & Cox a few years ago and could never bring myself to put them into the puds so now I will think of another use for them.

I picked up a Lifetimer today from the charity shop for £2.

It's telling me that it's now 213 days and 7 hours, 59 mins to Christmas :D
