I started the year off well, my hubby always buys me a little book from Paperchase for my Christmas present....which does for the following year.
I was able to start filling it in on Christmas night this year as I got two presents which I was able to regift.
I then spent Boxing Night same as every other year by starting a spreadsheet and nosing through the sales to see if any thing jumped out at me.
I decided this year not to wrap as I buy as I think I would enjoy having one big session nearer Christmas.
So far I have a good lot of little bits bought, and for closer family I already have a cross stitch piece done. I will get a list up when I get to my little book.
I also have joined Tesco Christmas Savers and have £27 saved with them, plus £38 of Clubcard vouchers which I am hoping they do the double up again this year on toys which will sort my son out.
Main expense this year will be my parents present. They have paid for me, hubby, son, my brother, sis in law and daughter to go on holiday to Turkey with them this year. So we are planning on booking and paying for them to go with us next year....Hoping to get it booked soon to get free kids places.
Think that is all my chatter for now.....lol...

I think we are going to Gumbet....went to Marmaris about three years ago and loved it, went on some great boat trips for very little money.
My hubby really wants to go to Benidorm, but only because of the tv show...lol....I have priced it but even the cheap hotels seem very dear. We live in Northern Ireland and because of the trouble which can sometimes occur over the 12th July here I like to be away, so it sort of limits us on choosing cheaper dates, plus every flight seems to be so much more expensive here compared to flying from the mainland.
We went to Tunisia on honeymoon and I would love to go back there, but there are no longer any flights from Belfast, so would have to try and sort out cheap flights to UK and then onward flights..too much hassle with a one year old....;)I HAVE NOTHING TO SAY;)0 -
Black cat, have you tried the kringle candles yet? I got a free one in my last megapack from yankeedoodle, i might give it a try tomorrow.
I did christmas in June a couple of years ago for my inlaws. They are in India and will never come over during our winter! It was so much fun, I even bribed the neighbours children to come carol singing. They loved it as now they know what we are doing with the children at christmas and it made them feel closer to us.DFW NERD NO.656 DEBT FREE 24TH NOVEMBER 2010 TOTAL DEBT AUGUST 2007 £39000MFiT T2 NO.56 WE OWN [STRIKE]25%[/STRIKE] 31.5% OF OUR HOUSE SO FAR!0 -
I love Yankee candles I've only tried the tarts so far, but I love how long they last! My mum isn't keen on strong smells though so I'm not sure which ones she'd like..
I've downloaded one of the iPhone Christmas countdown apps! Hehe0 -

black Kat what's kringle candles?
The founder of Yankee Candles sold the company in 1998. His son has started the Kringle Candle Company https://www.kringlecandle.co.uk
Some people think that the quality of Yankee Candles has been diminishing recently - the shop I usually buy candles from is changing over to Kringle Candles. I treated myself to some today. They sell some of the Christmas fragrances all year round. I've just lit "Snow-Capped Fraser" - my sitting room smells like Christmas trees!0 -

Which one did you get? I bought some votives and "daylight candles" (they're like large tealights), so that I could try out the fragrances.
Balsam Fir, Snow-Capped Fraser, Wild Hollyberry, Christmas Stroll, Gift of Kings, Gingerbread - if they smell as fantastic when they're lit as they do now, I'll have to start saving the pennies!
I still love the Yankee Candle fragrances, especially Mistletoe & Fig and Christmas Cookie - I don't think I'm going to give them up completely.0 -

You need a 2nd mortgage for Benidrom, I priced it up for next summer for 2 weeks, added into all in and the price was £2,700.... so were not going!!Miss Hoodie wants to go to the same hotel, she is addicted to Benidorm. i was going to raid Tesco vouchers, but plan B is may go the Oct half term half the price. Think its the euro that keeps it high!
Your nearish to Bodmin from Gumbet, it was nice down by the harbour in Bodmin. The flights just seem to be reducing, I think its bmi baby thats pulled the plug on soms of the flights.

The Sol De Pelcianos (sp) is the Benidorm hotel, but it has a sister hotel...Orcas (I think),and they cant tell you which one you will be in...That puts me of booking it as hubby woud be so let down if we ended up in the sister one.
BMI pulled all City Airport flights, but Tunisia flew from our International Airport. My brother went to Egypt last year and again it is somewhere we cant get to unless you go to the mainland first. Don't know what the problem was but the travel agent did say she thought it might be because of the unrest in both countries and that they may start selling them again if the trouble stops. Wish it would cause I really want to go.;)I HAVE NOTHING TO SAY;)0
