Do they think Santa brings everyone presents or just them?
It's been quite impossible to buy the cats things and her dad without her knowing I am buying them christmas presents, so I have told her Santa only brings children presents so it's up to me to get the cats and her dad things.
Now I'm thinking I might have spoilt it if she see's a film and Santa brings for everyone. SHe's 3 1/2 and really getting into festivities now, I don't want to get it wrong lol.0 -

Is there anything relatively "healthy" that is classed in your houses as a treat that you only buy in for Christmas?
I mean, we all mention the tins of chocolates, selection boxes etc and I am already overweight but will be desperately trying to lose it and my baby weight and I don't particularly want to go over board on the junky food.
I like the Cadbury elves (less than 100 cals) for a nice treat (cheap too!) Satsumas always remind me of Christmas as well but is there anything else? or does anyone have any ideas which I could make feel a bit treaty?
I know still a bit naughty but i considered making very lightly covered chocolate apples with red and green sprinkles on the very top.
Any other ideas??????
I like yoghurt covered raisins so I've bought some of these to put away for christmas0 -
For those doing gardening hampers, cheap seeds are on the Grabbit board (credit to sharalee99):
http://www.seedsbypost.co.uk/shop/9732/beetroot-boltardy-rrp-pound149-now-50p/
If you scroll along there are lots and lots at 50p and postage is free if you spend £5 plus you seem to get an extra pack of seeds too.0 -

can you or anyone else recommend any?? There are 2 other films which I adore and were on one of the Christmas channels last year but I don't remember the names, if I do will add them to the list.
(p.s our special sky offer ends in November, we have said we will keep Sky for Christmas/New Year for the soul purpose of Christmas 24 which I believe was actually a "free" movie channel last year and the year before but then it is going as we wont be able to afford it so I completely feel your pain!)
Perhaps we are , You never know on the internet. You could be talking to your own mum and never know
I've got 'all i want for christmas' in my basket! I've never seen it so i'm looking forward to it.
I've seen all the others you suggested. And this may make you dislike me but i absolutely HATE that dudley moore santa claus filmI don't know why, I just remember it always being on a child and i couldn't stand it!
You don't have to keep your sky subscription to keep christmas24 i looked into it recently and it is still a free channel isn't it? If you cancel it you can still watch the free channels anyway, DS' dad had got the sky box otherwise i'd have it just for the free ones.
Have you seen Christmas with the Kranks? http://www.amazon.co.uk/Christmas-Kranks-DVD-Jamie-Curtis/dp/B000AMXEO2/ref=sr_1_1?s=dvd&ie=UTF8&qid=1347395512&sr=1-1
It is in my all time favourite top 5 christmas movies, i think it's brilliant!
Also the family stone is quite a good christmas movie, its a bit sad in places but a fab story and brilliant acting! http://www.amazon.co.uk/Family-Stone-Sarah-Jessica-Parker/dp/B000E6UXKC/ref=sr_1_1?s=dvd&ie=UTF8&qid=1347395584&sr=1-1moneysavingmumofone wrote: »Damzel_In_Distress-I really like this film http://www.amazon.co.uk/The-Christmas-Miracle-DVD/dp/B004AHV7Z6/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1347318288&sr=8-2 I watched it on sky movies last year and was lucky to come across it in a cash converters still sealed for £1.Im hoping I get sent a 1/2 price sky movies offer around xmas as I HAVE to have the sky movies xmas channel but do not like the £16 extra for it all grrr. Santa Paws is also a really lovely film (not as cheap as some though) http://www.amazon.co.uk/Disney-Buddies-Search-Santa-Paws/dp/B003KTN0TG/ref=sr_1_1?s=dvd&ie=UTF8&qid=1347318458&sr=1-1 Ive just checked my amazon order summary as i was sure Id never pay that much lol and I got it for £1.19 plus £1.26 postage! Ive just searched the seller and its gone up in price but they actually have a double pack which includes the Santa buddies film (also fab) for £3.75 plus £1.26 delivery which is cheaper than Santa Paws on its own! http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B003YUJI7Y/ref=olp_product_details?ie=UTF8&me=AVXB5JQRCA15O&seller=
Another one i've not seen, thanks. I've added it to basket so i don't forget about it and i'll read some reviews and probably get it next month!
I was already planning on getting DS Santa Buddies and Santa paws. He's recently got into the 'Buddies' movies and we collect disney points so currently have 700 and i'll definitely be getting santa paws out of that for free :j They don't have santa buddies unfortunately in the rewards at the moment, but im gonna hold out a bit longer until they update and if not get it off amazon. I've already had to watch air buddies and space buddies twice each this week lol. I've promised him spooky buddies when i do this weeks shop because its really cheap in tesco at the moment and he'll get more reward points too!
Santa paws 2 is coming out this year as well! Not sure if its a cinema or dvd release though?
I really fancy watching this - http://www.amazon.co.uk/Noel-DVD/dp/B000BY9CWM/ref=sr_1_1?s=dvd&ie=UTF8&qid=1347395298&sr=1-1
From what i can gather it was on tv in the usa last year and its out on dvd this year, it seems to have great reviews and I love love love susan sarandon, She always seems to be in movies that make me feel good after i've watched them, so even though it's quite expensive i'm going to try and get a copy.
Has anyone else seen it?
Loads of other posts i want to reply to but if i keep nattering away this reply box will fill and entire page!:oHaving a coke with youis even more fun than going to San Sebastian, Irun, Hendaye, Biarritz, Bayonne
or being sick to my stomach on the Travesera de Gracia in Barcelona0 -

I loved the Dudley Moore one when I was a kid but don't like it as an adult lol.
The idea of you being my mum REALLY freaks me out!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
But you can't be 'cos my Mum is not a Christmas fan :rotfl:
I almost brought Noel last night but decided to wait until another time/if i can afford it. It's one of those it looks good but not sure it's worth paying for.
I want to be able to record the films incase I am disturbed by the baby lol so thats my main reason for keeping the basic package until Jan
I have seen Christmas with the Kranks, I used to own it actually LOL.
My MIL just gave me Polar Express, I haven't watched it before, I'm going to keep it for our Christmas eve hamper.Everything is always better after a cup of tea0
