They're great and just what I'm looking for. Tried to make my own labels before but can never get it set up properly with the printer. Good price too.0 -

They are lovely!! Unfortunately my family aren't really "into" food gifts but if they were these would be perfect for a jar of festive jam!Clouds come floating into my life, no longer to carry rain or usher a storm, but to add colour to my sunset sky.

Question for those with children...
Do they think Santa brings everyone presents or just them?
It's been quite impossible to buy the cats things and her dad without her knowing I am buying them christmas presents, so I have told her Santa only brings children presents so it's up to me to get the cats and her dad things.
Now I'm thinking I might have spoilt it if she see's a film and Santa brings for everyone. SHe's 3 1/2 and really getting into festivities now, I don't want to get it wrong lol.1,2 & 5p: Christmas day food £9.31
10 & 20p: misc savings £2.70
50p: Christmas presents £3.50
£2: holidays £2.000 -

Thanks for the welcome.
I am trying to cut our Christmas costs down after the last 2 years were a ridiculous amount. So trying to find things I can make for people, plus its much more personal I think. My mum is getting a shop bought photo frame with the word family in the middle of frame(£stretcher £9.99), then I am filling it with photos and a nice poem. Liked it so much am now doing same for mil and nan-in-law.
Sister has said not to get her anything, found a link on here to a blog that had "a jar of nothing" so will make her that maybe buy 1 tiny little thing.
Niece and nephew I am excited about as I am making them a Father Christmas pinata each(just full of chocolate coins and other little Christmas chocs), then getting them something to open.
Think I may do us a Christmas eve hamper then
There is only us (at the moment!) and I have made hubby and I a Christmas hamper each year for Christmas Eve, he doesn't really get the fuss but has accepted that it makes me happy :rotfl: this year he is a little bit more into it - despite the fact our baby wont know any different lol.
I have never been able to afford to go mad but I like to get a few cheap/free DVD's, some bubble bath, some sweets and our favourite drink so that we can relax together and get in the Christmas spirit the night beforeDefinitely worth doing.
I love the idea of the pinata! is there a link on how to make them?In my local pound land at the mo and they have those cute Disney cookie tins in. Just picked up Tinkerbell
I am desperate to find a tin of these (with a boyish design) they didn't have any in mine!MarilynMonroe wrote: »Question for those with children...

I asked this too. Lots of people do it differently but most people we know say that santa brings the stocking or santa brings one present for under the tree. Because the other presents are given by family like grandparents etc. He also only delivers childrens presents, not for grown ups.Everything is always better after a cup of tea0 -

that was a bargain, i doubt there will be one in mine as its small, but im keeping my eyes open on ebay, it doesnt matter about a box as we take all her toys out anyway

When I was younger my mum used to tell us that Santa brought everyone some presents and that she would have to buy others and send the him so he can deliver them!! She tells my brother the same thing now and he's 3 will be 3.5 at xmas0 -
MarilynMonroe - we seem to have escaped without having to give too detailed a plan as to what Santa actually gets up to! DS (10) lives in his own dream world and has never questioned anything regarding this. I presume, from a couple of remarks he has made, that school friends have made it clear Santa doesn't exist but that he is choosing not to rock the boat so that he gets presents! DD (7) is far more savvy and has made various remarks that show she doesn't actually believe, and when her tooth fell out last week she wanted to compare the tooth fairy's writing with mine! At some point soon I will have to have a chat with them - before DS goes to secondary school next year if it hasn't come up by then - just to check DS doesn't really believe and get the mickey taken out of him.
We've always said that Santa has so much to do that parents help him, and that's why some children get more than others. A flawed argument I know, but it seems to have worked. My children haven't wanted to question too much in case the presents stopped!0
