i loved the dairy milk miniture red dispenser when i was little. was gonna get one for my oldest last year but could only find them at £6+ which I wasn't paying.
they are these incase anyone has no idea what we're on about.
ETA: £6.97 @Argos.loves how my "I've been censored" signature has been censored. LOL. Happy Christmas. :xmastree:0 -
Thank you Nanamia and everyone for your good wishes. it sounds silly when I don't know anyone personally, but it is really appreciated.
I got some of those chocolate letters to spell out my sons' names for their stockings last year. I remember going into a state of panic when we went back to the garden centre in case they saw the display and rumbled me! :rotfl:
Nanamia, a good Christmas project would be trying to find good lightweight pressies that won't need an extra mortgage to send to Oz in the post!
One of my best friends lives in Perth and it is always a challenge to find things for her children. Small books and tshirts seem to be favourites with both of us.
Along those lines my sil emigrated 3 years ago and we were meant to emigrate in May last year, I backed out though as my father was taken seriously ill and I was never 100 percent sure I wanted to go. What we did for Christmas last year was searched for the cinema local to them and purchased them the cinema gift card and had it delivered to their door which worked out much cheaper than sorting postage from here. Just an idea that you could look into, they are in Perth too.
Edited to add you can get vouchers for Perth zoo etc too so could get quite a selection of family days together for them xx'we don't stop playing because we get old, we get old because we stop playing'0 -

I make wood cookies with the kids at forest school and we use normal felt tips but nice quality ones. I guess if you varnish them you could use permanent markers x hth'we don't stop playing because we get old, we get old because we stop playing'0 -

Wow, this thread moves so fast, and there's so many things to comment on that my little old brain can't keep up.
.
(((Hugs))) to Nanamia. I don't know what to say as I am not in your postion but I was going to suggest if you ever want a natter or someone just to vent to I could meet u in Bents (aka The xmas capital of the North) but can see you had the same idea and have just been. Give me a shout if you fancy it again and we can have an unoffical xmas nutters get together (along with Lunar and anyone else on here that fancies it).
Rosygirl, I am really pleased for you, it must be such a relief. Congratulations Auntie Chickywiggle. Junior_J - You are such a positive and kindhearted person and I bet your family are very proud.
So... This week I went to the Tesco toy sale and sorted my friends little boy, and half sorted my little cousin.
Although I intended to finsh off my moshi monster hamper with stationery, I also found in Tesco the Moshi figure packs for £1.25 from £5.00, so bought 2 of those to finish it off instead.
I also bought 2 things for my DS which was bad of me as he is supposed to be "done" so if you see me post on here that I have bought him anything else (other than Black Ops2) then please feel free to give me a virtual rollicking/slap.
Oh yeah and hubby has thrown me a complete curveball. Although he is a complete gadget men and I can sometimes guess what he wants by what has just come out etc, in the 20 years we have been together he has never specifically told me what to buy him - Until now!
He wants an Amazon Kindle Fire HD which I believe is £159. But I have already bought him a watch, polo shirt and other bits and he was "done" too. I don't know what to do now.Aims for 2014
Drink a glass of water a day, Empty handbag at least once a week, Continue "not putting things off" and tackle things head on, Treasure people around me, Stay healthy and well away from hospitals, Continue to declutter/decorate house slowly and not get stressed because I can't do everything at once.0
