    Hi everyone,

Nice to read about all of your progress.

I've been writing lists of ideas for my Christmas goodie bags and have been searching for where to get everything but haven't got much further than that.

I daren't say the Christmas word infront of my friends anymore as they all think I'm mad :o

chickywiggle Well done on winning your ebay auctions - always a great feeling especially when you get a bargain. Thanks for the link to the dressing gown. Might go on my own personal xmas list.

Snugglebunny8 I think it's a really cute idea to have the candy cane sleighs as a table setting. They do look great and it's a really novel idea.

chirpychick The baby comforter sounds really cute. My sister did the same last year with the Christmas cards when my nephew was born very close to Christmas. It was lovely to receive and was much appreciated so I'm sure everyone will love them.

ostaragirl You got really lucky with those mugs as they are so ideal. Wish I'd had those when I made pots of gold but it wasn't the Olympics then.
  • Ive decided to get DS a Cadburys machine for xmas maybe from Father Christmas! Will bring back memories! :)

  • Chirpychick your bargains sounds fab!

I had an idea for the candy cane sleighs for adults; in Thorntons they do Christmas table favours, one is a tiny chocolate log (Alpini) with a little robin on, but the other is a rum truffle Christmas Pudding with icing andtiny edible holly leaf on it (they are really cute and great on the table) but for adults it might be a lovely idea for the candy cane sleigh? they are about 50p each I think and come in a tiny see through box for the table, so would make lovely tiny 'presents' to go on the sleigh perhaps? (you could wrap the tiny boxes)

for kids, you could make/use a littlr red drawstring bag like a santa sack, fill it with chocolate coins of tiny sweets and put in on the sleigh like santa's sack

Thorntons have put some of their Christmas range on - there's milk chocolate santa's, advent calendars, the christmas collection box etc - a lot on 5 for £20

I suggested the mulled wine sachet the other day and I have just come across the link for those interested.

Finally (so far) I'm making my 4 year old a 'red' hamper! He loves the colour red (mainly due to red power ranger). We have an argument every day as he wants to wear red tops or socks constantly! I've got him a plain red top but need other ideas. I'll probably get him a red toothbrush and try to find some red socks but what else? Hopefully there will be loads of red things in the run up to Christmas :)

oooh, my OH loves blue! thank you for this idea, think I will do him a blue hamper of bits and bobs! ...will be quite fun to do I think! Thank you! :)
  • NickyBo-Asda do a range of sweets with various characters on. One of the characters is Power Rangers and Im sure the packaging is red. x
