Curiouscrafter I'm positive the xmas pud binbags went to half price somewhere last year closer to xmas, but I can't remember where. Will have a scout around.
ETA: here we are, there were more choices too.

Might be worth waiting?0 -
curiouscrafter wrote: »Evening, kids back to school tomorrow means I can get out all the bits and bob I have been hiding in the wardrobe, on top of the wardrobe, under the bed, cupboad under the stairs, airing cupboard etc. I am planning on getting our two suitcases down from the loft using one for son presents and the other for my daughters and putting them under the bed, hopefully they should fit.
I havent read the previous posts only just sat down as been to the coast today, it has been soooooooooo warm, but still I was thinking about Christmas whilst sitting on the beach watching the kids play. I have a cuppa so will read back.
I have made a start with my daughters present by getting so designabear bargins from argos

I got the pink plush teddy, suitcase, tea set and 5 outfits for £32, most of it half price so saved nearly £30.:T
Whilst browsing for ideas for my brother who is 21 and has everything I was thinking of getting this to go with whatever else I can think of

And I am also getting these, hopefully you will all agree with me that these are just too cute, are they?
I am planning on using them as large wrapping and transporting gifts to peoples houses and for using on christmas day to put all the wrapping in, much better than a boring black bag that is in all the photos, I can picture the bin mens faces now!:rotfl:
Probably wont be telling the husband how much they cost though!!

Goodnight for now x

Morning Everyone!
Curiouscrafter My DS1 (teenager) received one of those million pound notes for his birthday and thought it was a great present.
Moneysavingmumofone This has reminded me that years ago, I did a Christmas stint at Woolies and loved it- it was great fun seeing what people were buying for gifts.
I forgot to say the other day that I have booked our panto tickets. Paid for by MIL as a Christmas treat. We are all going to the Mayflower in Southampton on New Year's Eve to see 'Jack and the Beanstalk' and for a meal in their own restaurant first. I don't know what the food is like but it's just easier for us to do that than try to transport people around between places.
We went the same time last year (but not to the restaurant) as we don't normally do much on the 31st so it makes a nice end to the year.* Ebay- 1 Bag a Day *0 -
Hi everyone,
I have been here but have been majorly busy and went away for 2 weeks so havent had a minute to actually post. Looked back and the last time I posted was 2nd August  Sorry. Been keepng up but only have to stay off of here for a day to be backlogged - its going sooo fast now
Loads of things I wanted to say but cant remember half of them and the convos moved forward so quickly so will just say congratulations to those expecting and who have moved and well done everyone for being so organised. Oh and (sorry cant remember who is was) someone spoke about their hubby and the lovely gifts they get - what a lovely thoughtful oh. Wish mine was like that #signs and dreams if only lol.
I havent done anything Xmassy for a while as summer hols cost so much plus it was my dd's 5th bday and we had a party. Mind you, I did get one stocking filler and a new Xmas decoration a couple of weeks ago when I was in Ireland - couldnt resist
As others have said, its so nice to see bits starting to appear in the shops - so far seen bits in Card factory, just the tins in Tesco (might take a trip to Morrisons tho after your report Opee - and that had me in stitches by the way lol) and the disney store have their christmas pjs out! Also after one of those advent calendars (drawer one) that was posted - think I will give in this year. Wanted one for the last couple of years but always figured that I could get it in the Jan sales but its always out of stock well before then so def going to get it this year - my dd has a few things from Disney store anyway that I want to get her for Xmas. Also loving the pudding bin liners - definately want these but think I will wait to see if the price goes down.
Also, randomly, someone asked ages ago for ideas for a basketball hamper for their ds well my hubby is basketball mad and I was gonna get him a few new bits for Xmas but now decided to do a hamper too so thanks for that idea. A few suggestions could be a new ball (obviously lol), the little chocolate basketballs (you used to get them in pic and mix), a new arm sleeve (bascially a stupid sleeve thing they wear on their elbow - dont ask me why but hubby has loads), sweat bands, shamballa bracelet (not basketball as such but has ball in the name and really popular amongst nba stars if Im right and generally now anyway), base layer (pair of tight shorts worn under basketball shorts instead of boxers to keep their crown jewels firmly in place lol) and thats all I got so far. You can also find out who their fave player is and get a poster or something? most players have brought out their own trainers, tshirts etc but these can be expensive. My fella loves Trady Mcgrady and his trainers cost an arm and a leg! HTH x0 -

Charley1234. a quick google looks as if the 'christmas' films this year are: The Hobbit, Tinkerbell and something or other (re-release?), muppets christmas carole (re-release) and Nativity 2: danger in the manger.
Thank you for this! Been reading this thread over the last couple of weeks as I am one of those who like to be organised for Christmas so I can actually enjoy the month of December, I bought Nativity for our Christmas Eve hamper that our Elf left and we loved it, one of the best Christmas films I've seen! Will def have this down as one of our Christmas things to do!

cornishorchid wrote: »There is the Christmas market in bath(I know not in the SE but bath is beautiful and would be a lovely weekend away!), it's on for 10 days, but it's meant to be quite good, would be a lovely atmosphere anyway even if the stall are a bit expensive. I would love to go, might persuade hubby to go one Sunday if we can leave the kids with my mum!...just the 2 1/2 hour drive wouldn't be nice, as I'm in Cornwall!
