Im dropping hints already for presents! My bf is brilliant at getting things for me and it always makes my gift seem rubbish!
I too have been down the silverstone ticket route so thinking of possibly a car experience day this year. Its always car related, other years ha has had windscreen wipers, a car bonnet and a cd player for you guessed it the car!

We both know what we are having for Christmas, I brought all my own this year but the money all comes out of the same pot I have made sure that there has been the same spend per person (with the exception of about a pound).
I find my husband is just lazy and unorganised and i would end up with 40 items from poundland that wont get used if i didn't do it, so not ungrateful but a waste of money. He prefers me to do it when i spot a bargain and tbh by then I have usually forgotten what there is anyway lol.Everything is always better after a cup of tea0 -
glad it's not just my hubby thats rubbish when it comes to present buying.
I normally ask for:- the latest South Park season on DVD but as we've already had 2 this year I don't think there's another due out.
- A bottle of anything "glowy" by J LO as I love her range (but i don't like the 'live' and not over keen on deseo. But it makes me mad he buys it instore when I know i can get it cheaper on the net. He has refused to buy it me for last few pressie buying days as I had a huge stash but I've gradually used it all up this year so I can have a new one
- Nice bubble bath.... I refuse to pay lots on bubble bath but I adore the "I love...."/ "philosophy"/ "Treacle Moon" (i''m sure it's the same stuff just different names depending where you shop) range. So I ask for this for christmas.
- a new book by my fav authors (but again they - chelsea cain/ sophie kinsella - have both just released a new one which I bought).
I remember a couple of years ago hubbys relative came to stay. he always spends a lot on us but never knows what to get so comes to stay so we can go shopping with him.
I'd spend an entire night trawling the internet for ideas on things i could put on a list (of various prices) for him/ hubby to take with them.
the relative bought me EVERYTHING except one item on the list. then he rang hubby to say he'd reaslised he'd not got that and could hubby buy it for me and he'd give him the money.
Hubby was also fuming as it meant there was nothing left on the list for him to get . and was mad at me cause i couldn't think of anything else :rotfl:
In almost 10 years of being together the only present he has ever bought me that I didn't write on a list or put in his hand was my engagement ring. (ok so for about a month before christmas I strategically placed pics of nice rings everywhere............i never thought he'd actually get one......:rotfl:)
I really want to build the collection of Disney DVDs so I may put a few of them on my list. And i'd like the Rayman PS3 game (not that I ever get time to play on it).
In my house santa always brings mumy and daddy a stocking too (lol mummy buys herself some nice bits that even with an essay, a picture and a big arrow saying "this" hubby wouldn't get).
He used to buy me jewlerry but since having kids I never wear any as they just pull at it.loves how my "I've been censored" signature has been censored. LOL. Happy Christmas. :xmastree:0 -

thanks for the suggestion, but this wouldnt work for my mum. i have done her 2 photo books in the past, one of all her grandkids and one of my wedding.
she also has her favourite pics around the house, which she very rarely changes as she loves them.
and shes not the type to wear a bag with a photo on it, or mug/keyring etcMummy to ds 29/12/06 dd 10/2/08 ds 25/5/11:Amy angel born too soon 18/11/12, always with me Emmie Faith:A15 projects in 2015 10/15completed0 -

I must admit I run out of ideas for myself on 'my' list
Im the same about jewellery, always worry about losing it, and it gets caught on stuff, or the cats take a swipe at things like necklaces!!I prefer little cheap bits like leather bracelets, I treated myself to one in the US and every time I look at it it makes me smile as it reminds me of strolling on the pier watching the sunset, was about $3 but means a lot to me
Most people seem to think Im mad not wearing jewellery (other than wedding rings) so I'm glad it isn't just me!
I love tv and films, so usually DVD's or box sets etc are on my listand books - I love Sophie Kinsella too Chickywiggle:) have you read any Lindsey Kelk? I adore her books, she always makes me smile
I love Disney too, I started building up a collection for the kids and now its always me who goes 'Lilo and Stitch anyone???!'0 -
oh noooo snugglebunny (at least i don't think so........ goes off to google). her Madaline Wickham (her real name books) are good too, have a few of those in my book stash to read.
Had to hide my disapointment yesterday when I managed to get Aladdin for £6 in bl0ckbuster and DS1 didn't want to watch it.loves how my "I've been censored" signature has been censored. LOL. Happy Christmas. :xmastree:0 -
my husband used to be rubbish buying gifts!
our first christmas in our new house i asked him for a cd player for upstairs, which he boughtand i asked for suprises with the rest of the money!
he got me a few random bits (ie slippers in a size 6, im a size 9! i can only imagine he read them upside down :rotfl:)
and a big huge box of make up. which would have been great, if it wasnt for KIDS  i didnt want to upset him, so on christmas day i made my face up in my new make up, after using almost all of an eyeshadow to actually make it visible, it lasted about 10 minutes before it disappeared!
after that i started buying my own and charging him :rotfl:
then a couple of years ago he said he was picking my present, i was scared! but he got me a camera and digital photo frame, which was my best present ever and i use it so much:D and last year i got a kindle
so hes definatley improved, or maybe he knows me better now!
my mum always suggests that she buys me some jewellery, even though everyone knows i only wear my wedding ring and my charm braclet which has my kids fingerprints on!
if i hear 'shall i get you a pandora bracelet this year' onbe more time, i may scream  she insists id love one because she has one, and she has previously bought them for my niece and sister!Mummy to ds 29/12/06 dd 10/2/08 ds 25/5/11:Amy angel born too soon 18/11/12, always with me Emmie Faith:A15 projects in 2015 10/15completed0
