Well I'm fairly fortunate with my OH, I never ask for something in particular but he always seems to pick the perfect presents. The year before last he put a HUGE present under the tree on December 1st and left it there until Christmas eve, making me look at it and wonder what on earth it could be, then on xmas eve he said I could open it to find it was filled with around 30 small presents. Last year he went with the "12 days of Christmas" theme...buying me 12 presents and writing a little rhyme on each tag (that I had to sing to the tune of "12 days of Christmas" before I was allowed to open them
) these consisted of a new coat, genuine uggs, netbook, new Dictaphone (as I'm extremely forgetful), my own personal selection box (made out of a quality street tin covered with cuttings from various selection boxes and filled to the brim with chocolate bars, chocolate coins etc) <
Looking back on it I was rather spoilt wasn't I
He sounds AMAZING.:rudolf: :rudolf: :rudolf: :rudolf: :rudolf:0 -

But as our little bundle of joy is due in March he's decided he can't really afford anything for me for Christmas so my stocking may be rather empty this yearI'm buying him a new desktop computer (I've been saving for it since May and currently have around £350 towards it so hopefully by Christmas I should be able to get him a relatively new one as his is 10yrs old and now makes a rather loud and irritating noise whenever he has it switched on) as it's his birthday in December too so it'll be his joint birthday/Christmas present.
Yes, you've lucky! I've had some lovely gifts before now, but there won't be any pomp and ceremony involved! Congratulations on the new arrival next year and good luck with the computer!0 -
I made the mistake of putting it in my basket but not actually pre-ordering it- bah!
I think this was before i joined this thread and met you guys- I didn't realise before how many Christmas addicts there were! :rotfl:
Oops- thread moved on again! I'm talking about the Monopoly!* Ebay- 1 Bag a Day *0 -
My OH is wonderful, caring and considerate - he's also one of those people who doesn't really think about Christmas until a day or so before! he always asks me for a list of things I'd like in November but ends up losing it so I have to do it again! I usually have cds, dvds, books etc that I've got my eye on, but often I end up getting an offer on them on Amazon - last year I ordered it all for him, and handed him the box when it came!! otherwise anything I'd like has either sold out in town or he ends up paying full whack for it on 24th!
I would really love Silverstone tickets for the F1 Grand Prix next year in my stocking, but they are horrifically expensive for us all to go, so will settle for carpet picnic and tv viewing instead!
I'd also love the Olympics DVD which has about 9 hours of coverage as I missed quite a lot (but thanks to NBC did get to watch a fair bit of the Brits and best bits on hols)
would also love the House series 8 box set ... which I've preordered with vouchers for DD / me
love Thorntons Whisky truffles too0 -

annoying isn't it! the one time you don't pre order it does the 'no stock' thing, I was umming and ahhing for ages wether to preorder, I nearly cancelled it to see if the price came down, it's not budged on price, will see what happens - you can buy this from some USA sites but ends up a fortune in p+p!0 -

I noticed this yesterday after it was mentioned in an earlier post. Really disapointed as I really wanted to order one! I do hope they come back in stock as it is exactly what would my family would love over the christmas period!0 -
I'm afraid I've given up and either tell DH exactly what to get me or buy it myself!0

Yeah he's quite the charming boyfriend when he wants to be
Well I've FINALLY nearly got all my Christmas shopping done! Only my brother and his girlfriend, MIL, FIL, Grandma and nephew to buy for. I've booked in to have a photoshoot done for my soon to be 2yr old in November so I'm hoping perhaps this could cover Grandma's and MIL & FIL's present? So just my brother and his gf and nephew then I think I'm done
How's everyone else doing with their lists?0 -
He sounds AMAZING.
Awwww I think I need to send my OH around for lessons!
A few years ago my OH asked me what I wanted and I said as long as it wasn't jewellery (as I don't really wear it) then I would be happy. I couldn't say it enough.....come christmas day opening the present,,,a £350 bracelet. My face was a picture, I felt bad saying I didn't like it, as it wasn't my style. I tried to break it to him gently but he insisted I kept it. Every year he reminds me of the 'ungreatful christmas' lol...it was nice but it wasn't me and I would never wear it lolPPI Claims won £3000:j now free of all credit card debt after 10 years.
Will I win my Lloyds battle!!!
Currently saving for our wedding and what seems like a million other things":)0
