Yes would definatly like to know how to link my page.
Will check you out and give you some publicity on FB.
Noticed in your last post you said 'my blog' and I thought 'MY BLOG'.:D Will become a follower. Is that right ? I have never followed a blog before, just popped in and out. Really must sign up to Louise's one aswell. She hasn't been on for a while, hope everything is Ok.
Mind you our numbers do seem to be dwindling.
when u get on to the forums page in MSE, just above where it will say welcome own my own, in the green bar is a tab that says user CP (ie user control panel). If you click on that tab a new page would come up with a green bar on the left hand side. One of the options is to click on edit my profile. Go into that and it is pretty self explanatory from there. U will have an option to add in your homepage url. does this make sense? I can explain more.0 -
omo,
2 more things
1) could you send me some info / a link to louise's blog?
2) I was gonna actually ask you if you would consider writing a guest post on my blog for sometime in february (a few weeks /days before valentines day)? It would something along the lines of homemade edible gifts for valentines. You would also highlight your fb page. Anyway let me know if you interested and we cld chat more later.0 -
morning!!
it is quiet, am sure schools stuff, work, shopping, wrapping and delivering presents, parties etc are keeping everyone busy! have been bombed with work the last couple of weeks, so am a bit behind, but am very glad of it as it pays in January! Had car insurance, MOT and tax disc all to sort this last week (thankfully she passed!) and then my kitchen radiator gave up the ghost and started leaking everywhere so had to have a new one, not cheap! but hoping Im done for a few days!
catching up with family tomorrow and sorting out their gifts
anyone else low on Christmas cards this year? I bought loads in the sales but suddenly OH work arent giving them out this year, doing charity donation instead, DH says shes so busy shes just giving a few to close friends with their gifts but not the whole class etc, DS only giving to a few people ... seems everyone doing the same so don't have so many to put up this time!looks a bit bare without the usual amount!
Am I the only person who buys gift wrap and cards that they love then hesitate to use them??! Ive got 3 gorgeous packs of cards I dont want to use cos they are sooo pretty .. and some gorgeous wrap with matching ribbons, tags etc I dont want to open!!! I think Ive lost the plot!
Nanamia am sorry to hear you are having family issues too, sending you hug, how is your SIL doing now? hope shes continuing to make a good recovery xx
ruth_honey yes have had a couple of those too, 'friends' who seem happy to believe rubbish and are so easily lead they should wear a sheep suit, they weren't close friends but it was hurtful that they behaved badly. After the way one apparantly close friend behaved towards our family I'm very wary of people these days, but guess that is just one of those things. But as you say - if they are keen to beleive such rubbish about you they arent people you want to waste time on, and that kind of negative energy isnt something you need in your life, you are far too good for that!
I can identify with the 'world revolves around me' personality, somebody I was a big support to who constantly only ever wanted to talk about their own problems (many self inflicted unfortunately and every single day there was another problem, I think she was addicted to having a problem!) ) would blank everyone if somebody else had a bigger problem than her and got all the 'attention' like a 2 year old, came to a head when I had some big problems and she didnt even contact me once over the 3 months, however another friend form the same circle who had plenty of her own problems to deal with, much worse than the first person, was there for me every step of the way, so just shows how many more lovely people there are in the world, and genuine friends
Podperson many congrats, must be so exciting to see yourself on Amazon!! x
Christmas seems to be speeding towards us and I feel a little the same in that I don't want it to get here too fast as I don't want it to be over! that's probably warped logic but I guess we've spent so much time, care and thought we don't want it to be over!0 -
Hello everyone,
I've been reading just not posting
Hope everyones ok, I have a Christmas related injuryI managed to hurt my back putting the tree up and wrapping a load of presents. It's not that bad just aching so I've got my hot water bottle on it.
So yes, I managed to finally put the tree up. I didn't really want to but am glad I did as I like to sit in the chair next to it admiring the twinkly lights
Still got a load of wrapping left but am trying to do a bit every night that way I'm not getting bored with it.
My Husband works for a big name coffee factory and we received a fabulous hamper off them. It had in - Shreddies, Christmas pudding, Brandy butter, Orange matchsticks, Quality street, aero hot choc, a big bar of aero, fruit pastilles, milkybar buttons, kitkats, mineral water, Christmas stuffing, 2 bottles of wine, box of crackers (eating ones) and I'm positive theres some stuff I've missed out. We were really pleased with it and it's nice of them to do it as they have thousands of employees.
I'm really glad I've got all the shopping out of the way and I can just enjoy this run up to the big day. I can't tell you how overjoyed I am that I don't have to battle the crowds in town!
If anyone remembers we did a Christmas bring and buy in memory of my Dad in aid of the Midlands Air Ambulance. Well it was so good and we raised well over £850 (still with donations to come in so we think we will probably have raised about £1,000!) So that was really good and has raised my Christmas spirit quite a lot.
My Aunt made some mini Christmas cakes to sell and we bought one...it's absolutely lovely especially with a baileys coffee
I'm a bit mad with myself as due to some car repairs etc we are now skint! I'm hoping we get some Christmas money (we usually do) as we have 7 birthdays in Jan/ the start of Feb and I can hopefully get a few bits in the sale for those.
Snugglebunny8 - I am so like that with cards and gift bags, sometimes I like them too much to give away
I've had air ambulance cards this year, they are nice but not really really pretty - for a good cause of course but I've had no problems giving them away.
But there does seem a general lack of cards about this year.
Hoping everythings ok with Chirpychick.0 -
OMG. Am still shopping, it's packed. Boss from my second part time job (10 hours) just phoned about another meeting about the new girl, and I told her to stick her job. the new girls dad works for the same company, and boss sides with her all the time.So I just said 'I'll make is easy and go' I think she was a bit shocked but who cares .
Must get back to shopping .dd is staring at me.0 -

First time I have been able to post in two days, new medication doses kicking my bum lol. Plus side my Christmas shopping is done, I am relaxed and my gran is coming on Tuesday. Mum changed her mind and wanted this clock for Christmas instead, but she doesn't know my evil plan to take her out in the sales for slippers mwhaaaa lol.“I'm selfish, impatient and a little insecure. I've started wrapping some presents. Kiddies stocking fillers are all done plus 6 others, mostly grandparents.
Still need to buy a little football for DS, and get some photos printed.
DS is asking if he can have the polar express. Lol, not the film, the actual train.
I'm feeling quite festive, we are going on the santa steam train tomorrow!Bossymoo
