I did a joint one for all staff as I think behind the scene peps get missed. I did a hamper of sweets and biccies in a decorated box. A lot of staff made a point of thanking girls... It was quite touching and I'd just raided home bargains so not mega expensive
I'm doing something similar for the nursery staff where my son goes. Bought tea, coffee and hot chocolate with some biscuits and cakes. Got it all from Heron so it cost £7 and am looking forward to putting it all together as a hamper.:)0 -
Thank you all for your support
I'm glad to see I wasn't completely delusional with my opinion of my makes
Well have just done an online shop for the foodie hampers (all baked) I am taking advantage of Mr Ts free click and collect on grocery as I know I will spend far too much if I actually go in the shop :rotfl:
DH is annoying me slightly as it has taken all evening to figure out ingredients and he wants to go to bed without me. The baking is for gifts for his family! Don't want to be all grinchy, but after the stress of the fete today, I'm tired and want to go to bed, but sadly still lots to do
On a depressing note, my food baking shop is almost double the amount of last year!!! You can generally get cheap eggs for under a pound - cheapest at Mr T's is £1.40!!!! Something tells me they are taking full advantage of the fact we are all trying to make a home-made Christmas![/COLOR]2024 Challenges

Nanamia - (hugs) hope everything picks up for you soon
Risky B how do I follow your blog please? Is there a link I need to follow?
OMO - sorry to hear about job, not the nicest thing before Christmas but if you're in a no-win situation sometimes it's best to walk to walk away. Hope you have more luck in the New Year:)
Emalou88 - £850 is fantastic! Well done you!
Well, at the end of a very hectic week at work we have had the best 'Christmas Day' with my Dad before he leaves for the States! Loads of hugs, talking and food plus of course prezzies, which we all got to open TODAY as Dad won't be back until end of Jan.
The hampers I made went down a treat; they all kept laughing and saying ..."OMG there's still more in here!" Considering it was all on a budget I was really pleased with the end result. Will definitely be making hampers again next year
Also made a little Pot of Gold for Auntie who couldn't be there today so hoping she likes it.
Will be back in a minute with pics!Stopped smoking 20th October 2012
This year I will have something that resembles a garden and not a building site!0 -

Thank you archiebear it seems like one thing after another sometimes doesn't it. But the hugs on here really help don't they or am I just too soppy
I love your pressie photos and the fast that you got a Christmas Day today too. One never seems enough!
I've had a most productive day for a change and feeling quiet positive. DH put the weeks problems re half his family in a nut shell today so that's the end of that. He's just so sensible sometimes ha ha. My darling SiL who is still on ICU has asked for me today wooo hooo she didn't recognise us last time we were there so that's a huge improvementso looking forward to seeing her tomorrow. Today DH and I papered that little bit of my kitchen, I've had the paper ages probably 6/8 weeks but I'm so pleased with it. Every time I walk into the kitchen it's wowzer I've never had anything like it before and I love it. We then whipped for a piece of dowel so I can have some baubles dangling in my kitchen window- cant wait. Then I started my sweetie trees, leaving the plaster of Paris over night and I will play in the morning with them
It's beginning to look a lot like Christmasxxx

Just popped in with another link you may enjoy:
http://www.smoothchristmasradio.com/
It's a free online radio station that plays christmas records all the time. I keep mine open in another tab when I am browsing other sites. It would also be useful for keeping in the background [STRIKE]to annoy others[/STRIKE] when [STRIKE]doing housework[/STRIKE] wrapping presents!
On the site you click on the red player below the title at the top to play:
