We were meant to be there for 3 hours, but it was stopped after 45 minutes, ds was sent out the room and I was told it was so profound, there was no need to carry on any longer.( Ds was 16).
They could not believe my concerns had been ignored by doctors for so long. ( One being from their clinic).
It was one of the many things I remembered them saying to me after I got home.
Thnk you for explaining it to me.
I feel a bit like, you get diagnosed and then pushed out to get on with it.
My DD was in a special unit for reception year but has moved into mainstream classes with a full time helper. Everyday is just stress and more stree for me.0 -
raining here too.
Just got back from Tesco - They have loads of christmas DVD's for £3-£5.
I got the Grinch as DS1 is forced to listen to the glee christmas album and his new favourite phrase to his little brother is "you stink stink stunkkkkkkkkk".loves how my "I've been censored" signature has been censored. LOL. Happy Christmas. :xmastree:0 -

Could you take it back or give it as a gift to someone?Hi Snugglebunny8! Thanks for the welcome ( thanks to everyone else also! )
We live in a rather quaint old cottage (1878), which has lovely roof lines, and lends itself to outdoor lights. Looks like a kind of gingerbread house. We seem to be the only ones on our road who decorate outside, which makes it even more special.
We use white icicle lights beneath the guttering attached to cup hooks screwed into the barge boards. Also coloured flashing lights above the round bay window, and coloured lanterns (not flashing) above the front porch and on a magnolia tree outside. Phew - sounds a lot, but it does look pretty!
I was supposed to be cracking on with the inside today, but not feeling too good, so we'll see how that goes.
Have a lovely day everyone! x
Ooooh, that sounds lovely. I know as you're a newbie, you can't post photos yet, but when you can-and if you don't mind-I'd love to see pics.PRINCESSX87 wrote: »Hi all,
Thank you all for the well wishes. Been a awful few days because of lack of sleep and not being able to eat - This tooth is still causing me so much discomfort. I'm such a wimp....I cant stand the dentist & calling them this morning to see if there is anything they can do has resulted in them wanting to remove 3 broken teeth thats causing the issue. Que me now flapping about in sheer terror.
This would be the first time i've ever had teeth removed (Other then when i was a child and put to sleep for it)...So i have no idea what to expect.
Nothing christmas style to report..So sorry for hijacking the thread
Will be reading all the posts today to see what ive missed.
Good day all x
Ow! I'm sure if you call & ask them-tell them how nervous you are!-they'll talk you through what will happen. Don't work yourself into a stress-head about it. It's usually not as bad as you think it's going to be.Cross Stitch Cafe Monthly Challenge Member #27

Its not even lunch time on Monday and already Im wishing for the weekend! Ear infection has now turned into throat ache and general soreness I just really dont want this to get into my chest and affect my asthma! I probably should of taken a few days off work by now but if I do it means I cant get to the gym and weightloss is far too important to miss any sessions!
roll on pjs, christmas films and a nice hot meal!
Feel a bit bossy saying this, but please don't put gym before your health! You'll end up feeling so much worse if you try and push yourself at the gym when you're already feeling poorly. Believe me, I learnt the hard way. Take a few days off, rest up & get better, then go back to it. If you're worried about weightloss, just make sure you don't eat too many calories while you're taking it easy.
I had surgery in October & I was worried about piling on the pounds while I recover as I'd been exercising regularly, but I cut down portion sizes and tried to walk often to get some exercise and although I've probably lost muscle, I've not gained any more weight, which I'm pleased about. And tomorrow I can go back to water aerobics(although the class is full, but people might drop out. Or I can swim instead).redbooties wrote: »nic2075 I love the teacup candles, at first glance I thought they were real cups of tea lol
Nic2075-loved all your makes. The candles & chalkboards were cute, though. I'd love to shop at a stall selling that kind of stuff.Cross Stitch Cafe Monthly Challenge Member #27

Not bossy at all! Im often telling myself the same! TBH Im just whinging for the sake of it, I took it easy last week when I was at my worst and doc gave me antibiotics so Ive no real excuse not to go other than I miss the weekend lol. Im so close to hitting the 3 stone mark and want to get there sooner than later (its taken a year to get this far!)
Mrsgreenwood love your tree! I especially love the new addition, do you mind me asking where you got it?Life is what you make it.0 -
Princess87, ask them to refer you for sedation. You won't remember any of it even though you are still awake.

That's brilliant! Well done. :T Each milestone is worth celebrating. I've now lost 55lbs, but that's taken me 18 months and hasn't been easy. Just don't do too much until you're totally better again.
I've spent all morning trying to sort out a Christmas meal with some old work friends. Plans have changed goodness knows how many times now. I'm trying to be patient and fit around other peoples plans, but sometimes I wonder why I bother! And what is the point of doing a secret Santa with three people when you buy each other Christmas presents anyway? Seems silly to me, but never mind. My secret Santa is getting a 'real fireplace' DVD, Christmas pudding bin bags & Christmas pudding & brandy butter crisps!!! :rotfl: I've found some weird stuff this year.Cross Stitch Cafe Monthly Challenge Member #27
