  • welcome hun!! so glad you have joined us :) Ive never had outside lights (though the inside looks like Santa's grotto!!) and keep meaning to do something, what sort of lights have you put up? couldnt let my DH loose with ladders, drills etc, so wondering if I can get some kind of icicle lights to hang from the windows or along guttering? xx

Hi Snugglebunny8! Thanks for the welcome ( thanks to everyone else also! )
We live in a rather quaint old cottage (1878), which has lovely roof lines, and lends itself to outdoor lights. Looks like a kind of gingerbread house. We seem to be the only ones on our road who decorate outside, which makes it even more special.
We use white icicle lights beneath the guttering attached to cup hooks screwed into the barge boards. Also coloured flashing lights above the round bay window, and coloured lanterns (not flashing) above the front porch and on a magnolia tree outside. Phew - sounds a lot, but it does look pretty!
I was supposed to be cracking on with the inside today, but not feeling too good, so we'll see how that goes.
Have a lovely day everyone! x

Not sure if these pics will work. Might have to edit.

It's pictures from my Christmas fair the other night. I didn't do too bad, but to be honest, it wasn't worth all the effort and stress. I didn't sell that much, but I had business cards, so have other orders theough that. But now I have lots of stock to shift on my fb page.

I will go and read back x

  • Hi all,

Thank you all for the well wishes. Been a awful few days because of lack of sleep and not being able to eat - This tooth is still causing me so much discomfort. I'm such a wimp....I cant stand the dentist & calling them this morning to see if there is anything they can do has resulted in them wanting to remove 3 broken teeth thats causing the issue. Que me now flapping about in sheer terror.

This would be the first time i've ever had teeth removed (Other then when i was a child and put to sleep for it)...So i have no idea what to expect.

Nothing christmas style to report..So sorry for hijacking the thread :(
Will be reading all the posts today to see what ive missed.

    Good day all x

Woohoo that worked. Thanks Mrs Gigglewick x

As I posted before, heres a pic of my table on Saturday. Unfortunately it snowed all day Sat, so it wasn't that busy. But made about £50 plus loads of orders to do on top. So not bad, but now I still have loads left to sell. X

Its not even lunch time on Monday and already Im wishing for the weekend! Ear infection has now turned into throat ache and general soreness I just really dont want this to get into my chest and affect my asthma! I probably should of taken a few days off work by now but if I do it means I cant get to the gym and weightloss is far too important to miss any sessions!

roll on pjs, christmas films and a nice hot meal!
