Re the Amazon vouchers, it is a great idea if you only shop there. I prefer to put cash away, so I can get bargains from everywhere.
One year my best friend saved highstreet vouchers, and then found them very restricting. She found things in shops not covered, and did not have the cash to use.
Have justed watch The Nativity Story (2006 version). It was lovely. It helped that Ocsar Isaac, who played Joseph, is lust.:rotfl:
I did not know that children with ASD have a chance of becoming epileptic. My DD will be 7 on NYE and was diagnosed 3 years ago0 -

I tidied up especially before taking my pics
I have a friend requesting a photo in the dark with the fibre optics on - I will try.
Well have done my first bit of shopping and after an hour I'm frustrated alreadyWe decided that we would stick to a budget of £10 a person this year. Partly due to saving for our deposit, and partly because I get so upset each year with all the thought and effort that goes into selecting pressies and people just don't seem fussed
Anyway, the usual headaches about finding the perfect gift are occurringI am after a photo-shoot or spa entrance for £10, plenty about - just none in Bournemouth
OMO you really are an inspiration!2024 Challenges

The children preferred it though as there was white water rafting and climbing down cliffs and they were very impressed the child actors (we know a couple) got to do that stuff! They still don't believe us that they didn't. Nice to see Stratford and Warwick Castle in there too.
I still haven't seen Nativity. Is it worth getting on DVD?Cross Stitch Cafe Monthly Challenge Member #27

Wow everyone's decs look amazing!
We put ours up today, I had a bought a few new decs to add but I didn't realise quite how many I had bought so I pn the end I decided to just ditched most of the old ones and go with the new ones . Less is defiantly more it looks the best it has done in years hubby keeps taking the mick saying I'm looking at it constantly.
I used to have little bits all around the house too but I didn't fancy those up either, but we have put some lights outside!
Also started my wrapping with Kraft paper & ribbon will try and figure out how to post pics off the ipad0 -
Lots of beautiful decorations everyone.
We are not putting ours up until my parents get back off their holiday - so mid-December [they left this morning].
I was at work today and was surprised by the number of gentlemen doing their Christmas shopping. It was very handy for my sales figures [we don't get commission, but our figures are displayed in the staff room] lol as they were looking for gifts and willing to take suggestions. So, lots of wonderful perfume giftsets have gone out the door today lol. One gent paid £110 on three for his sons - not very MSE but he said that he is done now.
After work, I've watched part of Muppet's Christmas Carol [missed the beginning, but I do have it on VHS and DVD - the VHS is better, as that has the scene and song where Belle leaves Scrooge] and Miracle on 34th Street. Watching the Christmas special of Gavin and Stacey now, so definitely feeling in the Christmassy spirit [and a bit like a telly addict lol].0 -

I love that song, I've only noticed it's missing from the DVD now you say it. wonder why they took it out?

My dd has recently started to show an interest in hairdressing! (she's 5). Her big sister has this year decided she wants to buy each of us a gift from her pocket money, she's been saving since October! Ive told her we would be happy with chocs or similar, but she is determined she wants to buy her sis one of those styling dolls heads. Ive searched amazon but their very expensive, or the cheap ones have really bad reviews. Can anyone recommend one? DD has £10 to spend on it, but i would be happy to put another £5 to if we can get one.
Thanks in advanceGlad you found one! x

I've got better since we've had the kitten, because she WILL destroy stuff. It's just compared to all the other pics, my house just doesn't look 'polished'. We have chipped paint on the door frames, dust on the mantelpiece, mismatched furniture and clutter on our shelves. I just don't have the domestic goddess gene, clearly.

I put Santa Clause on in the background whilst I was cleaning earlier (like to have the house tidy for DH so he thinks I have been slaving all day
). I managed to sit down for the final 30 minutes and enjoyed watching it with a cup of tea and a piece of stollen. With the cinnamon candle burning and the Christmas tree lights on, it was wonderfully festive
I have managed it!2024 Challenges
