ChrissyG, I am so sorry that you are also having a rough time, sending you great big mahoosive hugs!
Well here we are as [STRIKE]threatened[/STRIKE] promised, some Christmas photo's
Our tree looks much better when its dark, but I couldn't get any nice photo's with the camera in poor light, so have to show it in the cold light of day - I have decided we have way too many filler (plain baubles or sets of decorations) decorations and I need to work harder at finding cute one-offs to collect!
We brought this on our honeymoon in 2009 to wales - its rather plain, but it holds a lovely sentiment, so is one of my favorites
I made this little chap from polymer clay a few years ago. Although you can't see it in the photo, he has lovely silver sparkles in him too
And just because I want to share, here are the sets of gift tags I have been slaving over!
I have put a cheeky album on my facebook wall titled selling my wares. I felt a bit odd doing it, but if it helps get people along to my fete, or helps me get some orders in then I figure it is worth it.
I am now having an internal debate if I should venture out to Asda. I bought some T-shirt vinyl last week and it was my intention to make up some childrens t-shirts and bibs to sell at the fete (it's at a school) in a Christmas theme. Am struggling to find the motivation though
Eeeeek, so sorry for the big sizes, I don't know how to make them smallerHelp?!?!

Im dying to open a parcel that came friday but there are way too many nosey people around!
we have been dealing with the aftermath of dd,s biggest seizure so far, she ended up in hospital and has a multitude of injuries but its just another day in paradise !!!
Im trying out a new basic biscuit recipie so we will see how they turn out.
Im considering buying Amazon vouchers every month starting january to use for christmas 2013 shopping so i can do it in one hit , the vouchers have a 12 month expiry date .
what does everyone else think ?
Hope DD is Ok. Must be a very frightening experience. When my ds was diagnosed with ASD, I was told there was chance of him becoming epileptic. Thankfully he is now 19 and has not yet had a fit. But it is one of my greatest fears.
Re the Amazon vouchers, it is a great idea if you only shop there. I prefer to put cash away, so I can get bargains from everywhere.
One year my best friend saved highstreet vouchers, and then found them very restricting. She found things in shops not covered, and did not have the cash to use.
Have justed watch The Nativity Story (2006 version). It was lovely. It helped that Ocsar Isaac, who played Joseph, is lust.:rotfl:0 -
Sorry to hear some of you have had disappointing craft fairs.
Your stuff is all lovely though so dont doubt that.
weeclick-Lovely photos, I love the bits from The Works. Ours shut down but will hopefully find one when I have my big shopping day on Dec 15th! I got some of those tins too and the tin baubles with the same design, oh and the tray lol. I think the picture is beautiful!
pinknfluffy28-Yes I know what you mean, definitely lots of gasps from everyone in the cinema when we saw it!
sk00bie81-Your angel is beautiful! Where is it from? x
Linda-Lou-Welcome!I thank every post as I think every one makes this the wonderful thread it is. But its completely personal preference!
lizalloareds-I saw perfect pots for pots of gold in HB last week. They were glass votive candle holders (empty) and they had gold, red and a few others I think. Quite large too, only 69p each!
AMAZING cakes JJ!
chickywiggle-Love the lego chocolate!
Nanamia-The cheeses are both dated 14th Jan 2013.Have a great time seeing the coca-cola truck.
Ruth_Honey-You neeeed a trip to Asda to get the cheeses, they are so sweet!Cheese and crackers is my plan too.
mcculloch29-I love the 'blank' decoration, Id have probably bought one too lol. Ive got some gorgeous LED stars from 99p store and I bought a few last year that were missing an eye/smile in case no-one else bought them!
ReformedShopaholic-I dont think its taking it too far at all, sounds lovely! I bought a festive tissue box cover even though we dont really use boxes of tissues! :rotfl:
FeistyFidget-Gorgeous gift tags, love the candy cane ones especially! Gorgeous tree too, the snowman decoration is so cute!
CHRISSYG-Your poor DD, how is she feeling now? Must be so scary for you all.Amazon vouchers are a great idea I think, its a bit worrying with shops going bust and not accepting gift cards but I think Amazon will be one of the shops that will be around for a long time yet!
Lovely trees everyone! Me and DS are putting ours up this afternoon, just having a break from putting up the other decorations! We didnt end up going to IKEA yesterday morning as I was a bit worried a real tree wouldn't last very well past Christmas Day plus I was up til silly o clock wrapping and was too tired to get up again at 6.30am to get there on time to get a free tree lol! So decided to put our old tree up until OH gets paid on the 14th and buy a real one then. Then I can put the old one in my room, I dont care if its over the top putting a 6ft tree in my bedroom haha! (thats if DS doesnt nab it for his room!) We did go to the Dr Who christmas craft fair though, smaller than I thought but everyone had amazing costumes and one of the Daleks was hilarious singing modified christmas songs. (Santa Dalek etc lol) We got there a bit late as we got a bit lost so missed a few characters which was a shame! I wore my reindeer antlers and was not out of place as quite a few people had things like elf hats on!! I bought 2 Santa hanging things (like wind socks) for the front room ceiling from a christmas shop. Could have bought loads more!! Then babysitted my lovely niece and nephew at night, didnt have time to go home and get the canvas and paint to do the handprint canvas though so will have to see if I can commandeer them nearer to xmas lol! My nephew is at such a lovely age (nearly 4 months) so smiley and cooing all the time!
Ahhh I am so excited about christmas, family time and festivities! :xmastree:

Dd's epilepsy wae diagnosed years before the asd and dyspraxia unfortunately she is one of the unlucky ones for which theres no control, her knee is badly bruised she has a huge friction burn on the side of her leg her tounge is cut in a perfect imprint of the section of her braces on the roof of her mouth and she must have slide down the wall as her scalp is all cuts and chunks missing which isnt going to be fun at hair washing time tonight !This is a system account and does not represent a real person. DH and I had a Christmas argument this morning (first of many I'm sure) he wants me to give him just one present, I declined stating I hadnt worked my butt off getting money together to end up not enjoying Christmas. He is the bah humbug type - he hates Christmas with a passion
Feeling slightly naughty, I decided to make him his very own T-shirt with my new heat transfer vinyl.
It is a bit tongue in cheek and so I wont post the picture here. If you would like to see, I will give you a link to my blog. But don't let the kiddies see and don't peek if you are easily offended.
