Not that I'm enabling but here are details of tomorrow's LE TSV (look away now if you don't want to know the scores!!) lol :-

    100ml Cleanse & Polish (pump)
30ml Instant Boost Skin Tonic Spritzer
    50ml Skin Repair Moisturiser (tube)
    200ml Orange Flower Hand Wash
    100ml Hand Repair (pump)
    200ml Nourishing Botanical Body Cream
    5g Superbalm

    £43.56 UK P&P £4.95

I wish I could get away with ordering that as I would use all those things but since hubby and I now have all our money go into a joint account I can't do what I used to do and order stuff and quickly stick it with the rest of the stash. Probably just as well :rotfl:

Also I think there are only two of those items I don't have so need to get the things I do have used up first. I know hubby would probably let me order it if I didn't have so much to use up first. One of the advantages of having a husband who knows how to make you feel guilty for spending money on things you don't need :D
    Did owe £9,951.96

Now helping hubby pay off loan. Finally paid off :j

    Owe Virgin [STRIKE]£5,950.00 [/STRIKE]at 0% til June 2009 £3,427.89. Owe HSBC [STRIKE]£5,460.78 [/STRIKE]2.9% til May 2010 £3,703.07. Owe Post Office £1,676.62 at 0% til September 2010

Very interesting discussion re: the beauty boxes. I only signed up last month, and so far I quite like them. I keep bits I want, and GA to sisters/friends bits that they would like or put them in swaps. It also means that I didn't buy any unneeded toiletries last month - yay me! ;) I did only sub to SSB for 3 months to limit myself though, and testing Amarya for the same time, and suspect will cancel both if my UUs aren't hitting what I want.

    GAs
    Mischa Barton Lip Balm (sister2)
    TBS Black Eye Definer (bff)
    EL Signature Lipstick (bff)
Clinique High Impact Mascara Mini (bff)

    Splutterer
EL Idealist Serum: I'm resisting re-purchasing this at the moment, although this is my HG serum, because I have a 15ml Gatineau one in the stash.

Been slacking a bit on body moisturising recently, I think it's because of the huge tub of The Righteous Butter that I'm trying to UU. Halfway through, and the level doesn't seem to be dropping as much as I want it to. I would alternate with another one, but then I have a feeling that the TRB wouldn't get put into use even alternately :o
No buying unnecessary toiletries/makeup in May: Unnecessary spend £17.60

    INs: 14 UUs/OUTs/GAs: 11
    2012 INs: 77 UUs/OUTs/GAs: 91

Hey, a couple of questions I need answering please...

    1. What do you use to remove make-up before you go to bed? The wipes I have used in the past sting my face, so any alternatives that are an MSE price?

    2. Do you think buying samples is better than normal sized products? This is the first time that I've ever bought a beauty box with various samples in and I find it very exciting :j

    Thanks!
1/ I use whatever is on offer at the time i need some,Waitrose are nice or Tesco value ones which do the same job:rotfl:then toner to remove any last traces,I use the LE cloth in the mornings when my face is clean but I love feeling refreshed after it.

2/ I am getting hooked on the boxes as think they can be good value and I love getting the,m in the post plus the boxes themselves are lovely to wrap pressies in....I am doing my own beauty boxes as pressies this year with stuff I don't need

In the spirit of MSE I think it is good if we can all give heads up on great priced offers, i.e. Q, B**ts, S*drug, supermarkets, department stores, websites or whatever. Buying what we need at the best possible price is the MSE way to go. Even my food stores have very little bought at full price, same with clothes and shoes as I have expensive tastes, but shallow pockets.

After seeing the photo of your hair I am going to have to add the oil to my "buy in the future" list.:D

Have any of you ever repurchased from the beauty boxes? I'm wondering if you might not save money by buying sample sizes from eBay or such like? At least that way you will only get stuff that you really did want to try out.
Just remembered willow bee, you said you've rebought after a box find.
I was scrubbing the loo earlier and happened to glance down at the tresemme which is still stirring on the bathroom floor after DH bought it. I think that those 2 bottles will last us into 2014 which is a scary thought. One of the reasons that I stopped buying tresemme. While I find it a nice shampoo, I like being able to chop and change fragrances every time we UU a shampoo. It's also twice the price of the Alberto balsam. Ah well. It'll get used eventually!
As predicted, I did get some ins for my birthday. Quite comically, my friend gave me a FCUK make up purse, lipgloss x2 and a body spray. Why comical? Because I gave it to her for Christmas 2010! Am wondering whether to make a joke of it and give it back to her for her birthday or to just give it to DD. I never use lip gloss, I hate the slimy lip feeling :(.
My hands are absolutely wrecked at the moment so I'm going to smother them in some hemp hand cream. Boy does that stuff last! Actually, scrap that, I'd better keep plodding on with the cut open tube of no7 hand cream. It keeps getting caught under the sofa throw and forgotten about. I cut it open WEEKS ago now, there was loads left in there. Such a waste!
Wrt what makeup remover do I use? I just use a flannel in the bath with soap on it. For my eyes, I don't use soap, I jus hold the hot flannel against my lids for a little while to soften the mascara. Then the soap removes foundation and black smudges. I do have a no7 remover but it's oily and I don't like oily eyes :o
I had a nice face mask last night as I've got a massive spot in my chin. Hopefully it'll go soon :)

Can't find the original post about the broken shimmer brick or if this has already been mentioned but you could try this.

If it's in fairly big chunks I'd try doing it without smashing it up further so you still have the stripes.

Do you have a relative or close friend who could look after your polishes for you?

Well our housemate will still be living in our flat (long story short, the three of us rent the flat from my OH's mum as she wanted to keep it when she went to work abroad) so it isn't like the place will be totally empty, and I do have friends in London who would look after them for me, with of course free rein to use any they liked! I think it's more that I'm suddenly becoming very aware just how much money I've spent on these things over the years - without wanting to sound like I'm bragging the contents of my polish box must be worth hundreds, and that's before I start thinking about stuff like shower gels, make-up etc - and that I need to try and raise as muich money for going away mysel as possible (again without wishing to brag most of it is being paid for through an inheritance my OH got from a relative, but I have a 'thing' about paying for stuff myself if I can...).

    1. At the moment I'm using Lush Ultrabland, which probably isn't the cheapest at £10 for a 100g tub, but I do find it works really well as a nice rich gentle cleanser and is amazing at removing make-up. I use that with the muslin cloths I got from a Liz Earle Cleanse & Polish sample one time, as they give me a bit of exfoliation as well.

    2. For me personally, I don't think it is. I would much rather buy a smaller size of a product, even though it's not as cost effective as buying a big bottle, as a 'test run' to see if I like it than sign up to beauty boxes. But that's mainly because I like a mix of a variety of stuff but also time to get used to a product, and I don't really find that samples offer that.
