Forgot to mention my Non Bought In - Garnier Intensive Body Lotion 7 Days Challenge samples - 7 x 6ml.

6ml a day!! They are kidding. I think I might stretch it to 4 days at the most.

Blimey, the beauty boxes discussion is taking over again.... just to reassure newbies this is the NO BUYING toiletries thread....

Or do you kid yourself that because they are samples mostly, it isn't buying??!!! :D

Perhaps I'm a lone voice but I do think that there's an awful lot of encouragement to buy toiletries involved here. :p

OK, yes we should all be looking to find our HG's and the only way to do that is to try and buy, but these boxes seem to be taking over!

I hope I haven't upset any of you, but why not have a separate 'Beauty Box Buyers' thread - and if something is really good or really useless report back on it here?

Failing that, just rename this thread to 'The Toiletries Discussion Thread'... :)

You are not alone babes. I do agree there should be a separate thread to discuss these deals. It is hard to not buy toiletries, when the temptation is written right in front of your face :rotfl:

Just seen that Lipcote is one of the prizes on the Glamour giveaway, didn't know they still made this, was a makeup staple for me around the age of 14, like varnish for your lips, I guess I was planning on kissing boys!!! :rotfl: I'd like to say those were the days but they really weren't. :o I loved the smell of that stuff, it used to be pink but looks clear now. How funny how you associate objects with certain times, the same with certain Impulse fragrances, the one in the green bottle was the school favourite in my era and Dewberry everything...

My Ultrasun TSV and L'occitane goodies have arrived from QVC. Am gonna have to open the Ultrasun face soon I think if today's weather is anything to go by.

I'm not sure I will have many UUs this month as I don't seem to have a lot of splutterers.

Went to ASDA to look for the Red mag but they only had the new one in.

Have repainted my nails anyway and am wearing $OPI I'm With Brad (wish I was!!).

Thanks for the new thread Itzy

Fantastic job Flirtini - I hope to have no in's for May either, but I highly doubt it LOL

Well, I tried my best in April to not purchase other than the items I needed, but I failed yet again. In my defense, I got a ton of stuff from friends. They know I'm a beauty addict, and they give me gifts accordingly. I have a box of over 100 items that need a new home, and I'm trying to figure out what to do with it as they are items that I don't want. I'm probably going to ebay it all.

    Anyhooo...Today's UU's:

The last of my Phyto shampoo - wba if it was on offer again, but this month I had to cut back and so I just purchased L'oreal elive shampoo & conditioner as it was on offer. No salon priced hair care for me this month, something had to give as I'm trying to save more money each month

Physicians Formula happy booster transculent powder - Smelled great, and was an amazing highlighter for my face :)

Aveda shampure conditioner (1L) - I flew through this liter. I WNBA. Awfully expensive and didn't do jack to moisturiser my hair. In fact, I think it did the opposite. That's so sad as I LOVE the scent.

    *****************************

I'm embarrassed to say I fell off the wagon on the first day of the month as I added a buy one get one free original source bubble bath to my Tesco order yesterday which arrived today. I also got my LIB box but I was going to count that as an April IN as it was bought & paid for in April.

However only £2.20 spent, so not a disaster if I can stick to that for the rest of May!

    I'm in again:j

    a couple of INs:

neutrogena exfoliating face wash and clean and clear moisturiser. Both were half price. I'm using olay at the moment and I think it's making my chin all lumpy and bumpy so I thought I would change moisturiser, don't have any others in the stash! This feels really nice and slightly tingly but doesn't have SPF. Am just hoping it clears up my skin..

    and a UU:

st ives gentle scrub- WMBA- maybe a bit too gentle, I don't think it did anything for my skin and I've heard people say the grains are too harsh and 'tear your skin'? as there is no face wash in the shower now, the neutrogena has been put in there.

I've personally not been tempted by the beauty boxes although it seems quite a few of you have! I go by the thinking 2 boxes could pay for a lovely dior lipgloss(may treat myself to one soon..) or a whole lot more in of the BS online offers:rotfl:

One more out one of those Garnier body 7 day sachets, not sure what other people think, and I know its only the first sachet, but didn't think much of it. Am I the only one who thought it was a bit thin/runny. I like a body lotion that's a bit thicker than that one.

Hey, a couple of questions I need answering please...

    1. What do you use to remove make-up before you go to bed? The wipes I have used in the past sting my face, so any alternatives that are an MSE price?

    2. Do you think buying samples is better than normal sized products? This is the first time that I've ever bought a beauty box with various samples in and I find it very exciting :j

    Thanks!

Oh that looks so tempting, if it had a full size Eyebright I would not look twice as, even tho' I used it for years, I have developed a major problem, but not sure which ingredient.

I must stay strong, nothing here that I could possibly NEED for at least six months:eek:
