I am sure he is worth it:)my DH uses the same as me (Occitanne lemon verbena at the mo tho his fav is espa which is sooo expensive,we had one each as pressies and he used his but I am keeping mine out of sight from him:rotfl:

Just a heads-up for anyone who needs skincare - if you buy this month's Glamour from WHSmith they're giving away free mini L'Occitane products with the magazine (a cleanser, a toner and a moisturiser, supposedly worth £10-14 each). Although it does seem to have gone more expensive at £2.99 a magazine, which is a bit of a shame...

In other news, I've been hit by the realisation that I'm probably not going to use up my stash in four months (the amount of time I have left before going travelling), and I actually feel quite sad about having to sell pretty much all of it to raise money for the trip. I know it'll go to good homes but it still feels like the end of something, in a slightly strange way.

On the other hand, it does give me an incentive to at least try my zillion bottles of nail polish before I have to get rid of them...

Do you have a relative or close friend who could look after your polishes for you?

I do know how to post links so let's see if we can get some wins from Glamour (For future ref, you copy the web page addy, highlight the word you want to link on and then click the world with chain-link icon - 3rd from right in Quick Reply. Paste the addy in the pop up box where it says 'Please enter the URL of your link)

A sort of UU - about 100 ml of Aldi Lacura Hydro Urea shower gel for dry, sensitive skin has gone into the bathroom handwash which was getting a bit low.

WIBA? Not sure, it's a great shower gel to use if you want something unperfumed, it is moisturising, but it also has a pump dispenser that dispenses c. 0.5 ml of product at a time. That's incredibly MSE but also annoying if you like a lot of lather, which I do.

I resisted a £6 for 6 issues of Marie Claire offer that had a £35 cosmetics freebie. I like flicking through the odd issue of Marie Claire but it is really written for the generation below me. I wouldn't have used the make up* as I don't wear any apart from lippy.
Also, what put me off, was the fact that it was Direct Debit. I got a £12 for 12 issues offer of Easy Living instead that allowed a one off debit card payment.

    * CID compact powder and iLine kohl pencil.

Forgot to mention my Non Bought In - Garnier Intensive Body Lotion 7 Days Challenge samples - 7 x 6ml.

6ml a day!! They are kidding. I think I might stretch it to 4 days at the most.

Blimey, the beauty boxes discussion is taking over again.... just to reassure newbies this is the NO BUYING toiletries thread....

Or do you kid yourself that because they are samples mostly, it isn't buying??!!! :D

Perhaps I'm a lone voice but I do think that there's an awful lot of encouragement to buy toiletries involved here. :p

OK, yes we should all be looking to find our HG's and the only way to do that is to try and buy, but these boxes seem to be taking over!

I hope I haven't upset any of you, but why not have a separate 'Beauty Box Buyers' thread - and if something is really good or really useless report back on it here?

Failing that, just rename this thread to 'The Toiletries Discussion Thread'... :)

    Now for my outs

UU No.7 Lift & Luminate Night Cream 10ml - WMBA, I already have another one the same size in the stash, but think I will add this to my short list.

GA Nicky Clarke Hairomatherapy Moisture Sensation Shampoo 250ml - this has gone to DH to save having to buy more for him, to be honest I prefer to use a colour care shampoo anyway. I have the matching conditioner for this as well, but DH doesn't use conditioner, I will have to use this up with one of my other Shampoos.

Some used ups to report (these belong in April but I lost track of the thread and am starting again NOW :rotfl:)

    Welcome to any newbies

Itzybitzy - I love your hair colour! I wish I could dye mine...

The numbers in front of these used ups is just so that I can keep track of my totals since I began the challenge. This is only my second full month...

    38. Comfort Zone Renight Recover Cream (6ml) - really lovely but too expensive for me to buy
    39. Comfort Zone Renight Recover Complex (4ml) - nice enough but not the best facial oil I've used
    40. L’Occitane Immortelle Eye Balm (5ml) - really nice so WMBA (or hunt out sample sizes)
    41. Origins Organics Nourishing Face Lotion (5ml) - too strong, WNBA, didn’t like scent either
    42. Neal’s Yard Remedies - Jasmine Enriching Cream (40g) - beautiful scent but too rich for my face. I have another of these to use up so I will use it on my neck. (I'm targeting my Neal's Yard stash as it will go off first & I'd be really upset to throw any away)
    43. Weleda Pomegranate Shower Gel (204g) - nice but not my favourite. (I have another of these to use up.)
    44. Bliss High Intensity Hand Cream (30ml) - WMBA. Lovely scent but it did that weird thing of leaving rolled up gunk on my hands (:rotfl:) It was worth it for the uplifting scent but I'm not sure I could recommend it!
    45. Boots Time Delay - Time To Cleanse (50ml) - WNBA (ancient! I have half a large bottle of this to use up too)
46 Urban Decay - Urban Defense Guardian Angel (15ml) - this is so old that I think it has been discontinued! It's a shame as it sank in really well for an SPF15 moisturiser.

I have more to declare - I sold some things on eBay (a first! Totally thanks to this thread :)). I also have the rest of my Salon Skincare order to declare but it hasn't arrived yet...
