    Hi,

Regretting that I did not reach this forum earlier.
I received a similar letter for invoice of £60 to be paid until next monday after which the fine would increase to £100, according to them.
I have already made an appeal on their appeals email address (with no reply since 1 week) justifying why I should not be fined.
Reading through the forum, it looks like this wasn't the smartest move since I have identified myself being at fault.
What should be my recourse now?

    thanks in advance.

Just ignore them from now on. It wasn't the best of starts, but luckily you can go over to "IGNORE" at any point.

Just ignore from now on everything will be OK. BTW this is not a FINE, it's an unenforceable invoice.
What part of "A whop bop-a-lu a whop bam boo" don't you understand?

Even though you’ve written and told them who the driver was, it doesn’t make their actions any less unlawful. It just means that instead of harassing the registered keeper, they can now harass the driver.

But, they still can't actually do anything, for the same reason that a Nigerian e-mail scammer couldn't sue anyone who didn’t pay them.

Continue to ignore everything you get from the PPC and their aliases. It does seem counter-intuitive to deal with something by ignoring it. Eventually, they will run out of empty threats, and stop throwing good money after bad.

The acquisition of wealth is no longer the driving force in my life. :)

Just go into IGNORE mode from now on and have a laugh about it!

After the inevitable 'your appeal has been unsuccessful' standard response which will be winging its way to you very soon, you will then still get the same letters that everyone gets - but they really are very easy to ignore. All the letters can be seen as picture previews, in the permanent info 'sticky' thread near the top of the parking forum.

See my signature for the words to click on, in order to take a step back and see the whole current thread list (hope you didn't think this old thread was the only one about the fake PCN scam or UKCPS? Oh no it isn't!!).

One click and you see all the current threads here. Third from the top, click on 'PPC letters & threats'.

    1. Watch the Watchdog clip on there and then

    2. scroll down to the pics of UKCPS's threatograms, then

    3. Play a nice game of snap with each matching templated threatogram, then

    4. Tell your friends & family about the fake PCN scam so they never pay one.

HTH and DO NOT REPLY BY PM to any member 'helping' or intimidating you in a private message...UKCPS do come on here and try! :)
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

After two letters they will send you a REALLY scary one with COURT PROCEEDINGS across the top, in big letters. Its very convincing , but you need to realise its just a company name made to look like its real court papers, and one of the worst examples of Misrepresentation of Authority Fraud ive ever seen. If you get one, just carry on ignoring them, its got no teeth and no legal ability to make you pay anything.

    heres there company CCA registration

    CPLtd.jpg

Court Proceedings Ltd had their Consumer Credit Act licence (which they require to collect debts owed to a business by a private individual) withdrawn in March 2011. SO they cant even collect debts legally.

And heres what there toothless scam letter looks like

    3rd_ukcps.jpg

which can be safely ignored, since they cant legally collect debts.

"Settle today for £120" :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: Do we look like we fell off a christmas tree?

Someone over on CAG is reporting that UKCPS are now using Daniels Silverman as their "debt collector".
What part of "A whop bop-a-lu a whop bam boo" don't you understand?
