From the signs and the paperwork I would have paid it! I'm just glad I did a search for them first and saved myself £60!

Just wanting to hear your views about UKCPS please and Peter Hasbeen? You didn't answer my questions and newbies usually have something to say other than saying that it was a 'legit company' with 'lots of signs' and 'I would have paid it'.

What are you trying to say Coupon-mad?

I have no view about UKCPS or Peter Hasbeen.

Until I received a letter through the post I had never heard of the company and until yesterday this Peter Hasbeen.

The carpark in question does have 'several signs up', and, had I not been directed onto this forum from my google search on UKCPS I would have paid it as I thought it was a valid fine.

Thankfully due to some great information on this site and some helpful people I now have no intention of paying this charge and will ignore all future communication from this company.

Sorry but where have I said anywhere that they are a legitimate company? I said I spoke to customer services at one of the retail outlets on the carpark and they told me they were a legitimate company. Not the same thing.

I am trying to say that everything you have quoted or said has come across as in defence of the parking company. Odd.

Even now as a newbie you are not angry about this scam?

How am I in anyway defending this company?

I have simply been trying to ascertain whether this is a legitimate parking fine or not. It would appear not which is good news!

What benefit would there be to me in spouting off my anger at this company? I am not that sort of person. I was simply directed to this forum after googling 'UKCPS' where I have been given some excellent feedback about this company, who, as I have already said, I have never even heard off before receiving a letter from them.

If they are scammers as appears to be the case I will simply ignore them. Being angry at them will have no benefit to me at all. Ignoring them will.

All you can do is ignore it. He has to prove who the driver was and if you ignore all of the bumpf they cannot do that.

You broke no laws as "disabled" spaces are not legal in a private car park. Don't do it again, but neither should you pay these money grubbing vultures a penny.

    Just ignore all of it.

Can't understand why you thought it was OK to take up a disabled bay. You should have parked in a loading bay or on a yellow line if you needed to be close to the entrance.

But that's not a reason to pay private parking scammers - two wrongs don't make a right! Ignore the fake PCN and the letters that will follow but don't take up disabled bays again - you may need them one day like lots of people do.

Well, don't reply, and if you get court forms come back. If he can't show who was driving he can't win.

Hasbeen lost a court case recently where he took the registered keeper to court and lost and then took the registered keepers wife to court when it transpired she was driving. She had parked in a disabled bay for a few minutes. the judge ruled they had not suffered a loss as the bay was free and there were plenty of other empty parking bays around.

Don't worry and do as others have told you and don't respond to any correspondance.
