Well done on all your ebay profits and listings. Ive got loads finishing today but no watchers, so may list differently next time. Also have parcels today to post.

Did the parachute jump with DH, not bothered about doing again, have done a bungee jump and going on a spa break with BF for her zero in 3 weeks. Was toying with going to London but its so expensive and just not that bothered. Oh what to do... DD1 says we should have a party.

Thanks for ad points reminder. Only get to 224 last week despite keep checking for more to do, but still free points!

Thanks TwinnyD - hadn't thought about charities I will investigate !

HDK - Despite reminding people I still forgot to finish Adpoints :/ oh well I won't forget this week! Wow you are a real dare devil!! I would never want to do anything like that!!

We did London quite reasonably last year. Travelled by train on Bank Holiday Monday morning (tickets were £22 return) arrived around 11am so we could make the most of the day, we stayed 3 nights and returned on a late Thursday night train. Because we had the train tickets, lots of the attractions were on 2for1 special with a train offer (think they still run that offer) and between that and using food vouchers we didn't spend an awful lot of money. The big expense was the hotel but we did quite well on lastminute.com and got it for sub-£100 and it wasn't scabby at all, it wasn't amazing but it did the job. We walked most places or got a couple of taxis. The 4 days/3 nights was more than enough time and we really enjoyed it. Just depends if you can get hotel/train tickets reasonably.

It has gone very cold here, I may be forced to put the heating on as I'm cold even in a dressing gown! brrr

Been screened out of six.....yes six Onepoll surveys. Not happy at all! On the positive side I've just redeemed my £20 Amazon voucher from DY. My heart aches at the thought of trying to get another one before Christmas but I might surprise myself (it is dementing me slight though!).

I had the webpage freeze twice on me and then a snotty email saying if I didn't complete the survey's I'd been invited to I'd be thrown out of the elite circle!

MRN - I sent an email to Onepoll once about a survey that froze after I'd done 99% they never got back to me - can't wait to cash out the £40 and never visit again! Just don't have the patience for it and to get screened out of so many all the time drives me mad - especially after you've answered about 5 questions! rant over.

Grocery spends were £15.75 so I'm well in budget this month - just as long as we can keep that up for the rest of the month. Have £60 left so should be OK. Was pleased with that as I didn't pick up any stuff I didn't need this week, not even one little thing. Must be getting better. It helps going to Aldi as they don't have much branded stuff (which always ends up in the trolley) but do all the fresh stuff that I need!

Also just found that Envirophone will recycle old phones which have no value for free. Haven't found a charity that will take them yet but I may not have looked hard enough!

Estimated that we have approx. £50 more to spend on Christmas which should leave me with around £50 spare which I'll probably use for OHs presents (if he ever tells me what he wants). This means all Quidco, survey money etc. will now just go into the house fund rather than the Christmas fund.

We are still hanging on to our precious ISA savings, haven't had to dip in there yet and still managing to pay for the work on the house. Its amazing what you can do when you have to be really frugal (i.e. the careful shopping!).
  • Have only really done those Emma ones, and vista but finding very painful so won't be joining anything else either.

Those offers were great and you didn't need to be travelling far to take advantage. Mrs E and I regularly used to use them after travelling all the way from Bromley to the centre of London (19 minutes by train) :rotfl:

Yes the tickets are great Edinburgher - wish they would do them outside of London too!

OK folks I need cheering on, I've decided to keep going with DY albeit at a slightly slower pace. Just for the Amazon vouchers though so only £20.

Should be getting my Amazon vouchers for my phone trade in today too which is great as I can then order one of my final Christmas presents.

I have a tiny bit more spending to do on the Amazon credit card and then I'll hit the £10 voucher limit for that - I'm on £9.50 at the moment so will just put general bills on there. Sadly can't do my grocery shop on there as Aldi don't take credit cards :(

Got a fairly relaxed day ahead in the house, wrapping the last few presents for Christmas (although more seem to appear on a daily basis!) and having a general tidy up.

Will try and do some Adpoints too.

Got about 5 more things to put on eBay and about 30 of my items finish tonight (hellooo pensioners in the post office tomorrow!). Hoping for a flurry of activity in the last few hours.

Also - as from 9 minutes ago you can get a £25 iTunes voucher for £12.50 of Tesco Clubcard points - they only have 15'000 vouchers available and in previous years they have gone really quickly so if you want one - go quickly! Maximum 3 per person

    KolaKube - I LOVE Christmas!! :D
