Advice on switching here - http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/utilities/you-switch-gas-electricity Sounds like Huge Switch may be your best bet. Anyway, though, the advice given makes it straightforward to find the best deal (no need to call round individual suppliers nowadays, if you have Internet).0

Popperwell,
Very sorry that I didn't get on here earlier to wish you a HAPPY BIRTHDAY.
Hope you have managed to do something you like today, and that the day has brought you some memories of some happy times with your mum.
Take care and enjoy the last 5 minutes of it!:heartsmil When you find people who not only tolerate your quirks but celebrate them with glad cries of "Me too!" be sure to cherish them. Because these weirdos are your true family.0 -
Thank you Whitewing,
It went better than I thought it may but I did get very upset in the afternoon when a letter dropped on the mat telling me I was £500 in rent arrears but then after talking with the local benefit office that turned out to be an error and my benefits were not suspended nor stopped until probate is sorted and the Housing Assocaition that sent the letter were wrong.
Equally the benefits department said they had sent the money to the HA so someone has messed up, I'm unsure who though.
It caused panic and stress.
Also as the suspension went back approx 5-6 weeks, why not contact me sooner so I could sort things out instead of letting it build up and have me oblivious to what was going on..."A government afraid of its citizens is a Democracy. Citizens afraid of government is tyranny!" ~Thomas Jefferson
