Cheers Amersall I've done just that and highlighted the parts of the template that says LOAN ACCOUNTS, annoyed they charged me and told them that I've already paid for information not received, I'll be sending letter with the account/reference numbers I possess each loan has what I deem traceable data on them so they can't just "not have anything" on me, I said if that's the case I'll stop repaying my mortgage and loan then.
I'll keep you posted its going recorded delivery tomorrow0 -
A quick one, if you exceed the 6 years with chasing PPI does it mean Natwest would not have to pay me back on some PPI ? If you wrongfully pay for a product id have thought be it 1 year or 15 years ago its still be wrongfully paid, HMRC have longer dates to date back for tax dont they, my loans date roughly 2003-2010 with the PPI on them so 2006 is furthest I see I can go back as it stands with the law, just wondered what can be done further back. Many thanks.0

Hi, some have won mis sell from the 90s, me included, see what they come back with.
If they uphold then they pay for that Loan PPI , regardless of when you took this out.0 -
Hi Amersall,
Just a quick update, Ive not heard anything back off Natwest yet still waiting, but, I did also at the same speak on a live web chat to a MBNA rep on their site for a Virgin Card I have and queried PPI I had with them which I cancelled after 6 months or so, they noted my query and today wrote to me saying they will be sending a cheque of just under £800.00 in 28 days for PPI that was not right for me, which is brilliant and also it gives me great confidence that the Natwest ones will now follow suit if MBNA accept their PPI was incorrect for me then allows it should deem Natwests was too, I hope as these are much larger amounts.
Goes to show what asking can get you, thats 1 down now out of 5 so post anything else as I get it, a massive thanks again so far for all your help, I dont think the rest will be a straight forward but all it took was a query with MBNA i didnt even have to fill in any questionairres or dispute why I have been missold, they just sent a letter to acknowledge my letter, a further one saying they were investigating it further then today the notification of my claim being upheld and refund within 28days, made a great start to my weekend, thanks again ill be in touch xx0 -

Hi Amersall,
Natwest finally returned to me the account numbers for the 4 loans I had with PPi on and they show themselves which have it which makes it easier, of the 4 loans on closer inspection I now notice 2 of them (for smaller amounts £10,500 and £15,000) I was Employed at the time I took them out, I still do the same job as I did before except im Self Employed now since March 2005, is it worth pursuing the 2 loans I had during Employment as I am not sure if the PPi can be deemed incorrect for me ? These 2 loans ran for 4 months and 6 months respectively before consolidating with the latter 3rd then 4th.
The other 2 loans fell inside me being Self Employed and were much larger loans and ran for longer periods of time before consolidating them with a loan I have now which is without PPi which I will be claiming on.
With my MBNA/Virgin Card being upheld I have confidence that these 2 loans claims will be too albeit its a different bank my employment status and situation remain the same, these 2 loans had the front loaded PPi but I cannot see if when they ended was the PPi which was paid added onto the next loan as a portion of the consolidation as I dont understand it all, can I expect the bank to actually see what has happened and spot this themselves ? Simply because Im under the impression say for one of the loans I paid £150 per month PPi as part of my £400 repayment for 24 months that would be £3,600 repaid which Id want back with the statutory 8% interest, is that correct ? Or will it be worked out differently ?
Ill keep updates coming as soon as I get them, the 2nd claim is being posted tomorrow and I await news of my 1st claim which was received 16/05/2012 so they have upto 8 weeks to respond I believe.
I hope Natwest do see the story of how my loans have panned out and look at all of them together to see what monies went where as the loans grew and grew and what PPi was paid, I just want to say anybody reading my thread and not sure on what to do if they have PPi is please post your query on here because there are some really good people here which have helped me no end and every step has been made so much easier by them, dont go to a CMC they really only take your information out of the envelope you send them, put it in one of theirs and forward it onto the banks, no more, but charge you 25-35% of any potential win, I may not win my money back but doing it myself Ive seen for someone with little knowledge has got quite far themselves with the advice given here.
Thanks Amersall and thanks all for reading, I was very silly with money when I was younger and only the past few years do I appreciate what good banking is, this is/may be a lifeline and already its got me £771 back...without coming here I doubt Id have gone for it.0 -
They should look at all of these with the claim you have in, see what they come back with.Natwest finally returned to me the account numbers for the 4 loans I had with PPi on and they show themselves which have it which makes it easier, of the 4 loans on closer inspection I now notice 2 of them (for smaller amounts £10,500 and £15,000) I was Employed at the time I took them out, I still do the same job as I did before except im Self Employed now since March 2005, is it worth pursuing the 2 loans I had during Employment as I am not sure if the PPi can be deemed incorrect for me ? They will do.can I expect the bank to actually see what has happened and spot this themselves ?
You will get the whole PPI back less any rebate they gave you for early settlement plus the 8%, don't concern yourself with the figures at the moment, see what they come back with.for one of the loans I paid £150 per month PPi as part of my £400 repayment for 24 months.
You are doing very well for a novice
shows what you can do when you put your mind to it. 0 -
Thanks Amersall,
I wouldnt have probably done this if it was not mainly for you, im getting my dates mixed up, Natwest received my 1st PPi claim stamped by themselves on 2/5/2012 so I believe their 8th week time limit is up on 27/6/2012 when if I have not heard from then Ill ring their PPi team as it advises, Ive sent the 2nd claim in also, this one worries me as it ended and was consolidated into a newer loan in 2005 which is outside the 6yr "window" but it is part of the same chain of loans ive had one replacing the other getting bigger n bigger,I dunno if itll be relevant but I will sure pursue it.
My other loans with PPi as previously stated yesterday were when I was employed for one of them, then the 2nd one 16 days into the loan I became self employed, so again Im not sure if I ca claim on these, although I do remember the salesman in Natwest telling me for the 2nd loan with me soon going self employed itd better suit me to have the PPi incase of any frights with my business, what would you advise for these 2 ? Not sure what Id say thatd be correct on the claim form.
Thanks for the help and the advice your an :A !!!
Ive certainly took to this very seriously, all my paperwork is now organised and all the receipts from any correspondance ive sent out is stored too, If I can get back what Ive paid in PPi it could take the pressure of myself and my wife being fairly new parents theres enough struggles as it is without being afraid of the post or the dreaded Natwest SMS balance alert
.
Each day I am eager to see the mail incase anything has come, I dont want to let myself even think about our future if we get it because itd hurt more if rejected, personally cannot see how, especially with MBNA paying out with no questions asked too, but each circumstance is different I guess, im glad I didnt go to a CMC because whe I originally enquired before coming here they wanted all the information from me, which I did myself now, then to forward it to them and they do the rest, personally I cannot see what else the do bar take your info out of the envelope you send to them and then put it in one of theirs and forward it on...and make ££££sands, its crazy they are even allowed to do this but I guess we live in a world were somebody makes millions out of others troubles.
Thanks Amersall, thanks for everything, Ill be back on when I know more.;)0 -

If this PPI was paid in with the loan payments each month then this is Single Premium PPI and this is the reason that you use for the mis sell.
When you put the complaint in for the first loan, any that were consolidated will show on each loan there after and they should look at these too, see what they come back with.this one worries me as it ended and was consolidated into a newer loan in 2005 which is outside the 6yr "window" but it is part of the same chain of loans ive had one replacing the other getting bigger n bigger,I dunno if itll be relevant but I will sure pursue it.
I am really pleased that you did not go with the claims co, this way you keep all of any wins that you may get and it is a pleasure to help you.0 -
The good news is that a consolidation chain doesn't have a six year window of opportunity as long as at least part of the chain is still running or was closed in the last six years.Banana_Hammock wrote: »TIve sent the 2nd claim in also, this one worries me as it ended and was consolidated into a newer loan in 2005 which is outside the 6yr "window" but it is part of the same chain of loans ive had one replacing the other getting bigger n bigger
My own chain went back to 2002 and I made a successful complaint.0
