Hi,
Just a quick update, after 3 weeks of my claim being at the calculations stage I rang Natwest and they said they would escalate the issue to get a faster turnaround for me as its sat there too long now, I rang back today and was passed around before a man called Josh said its only been 4 weeks since I claimed when in fact it was May 2nd ??? I sent my 2nd claim in on June 13th and they received it 15th, he says its the 15th that they are working against not the earlier as I have several loan accounts being investigated, I said its pathetic that its carrying on this long, Ive had no acknowledgement letters or PMR number or Customer Number from them to make enquiries easier, til today, now I get home from work an a letter is awaiting saying itll be another 4 weeks til a decision can be made, I dont mind this at least its official they are doing something now and my MBNA claim followed the same route, I got a letter saying it was being further investigated before an offer was made, anyhow just gotta sit tight now and await further developments, its frustrating because they now enter their 12th week of knowing about my claim without an offer and likely itll get to 16 which is double the timeframe before I hear anything, they said they will contact me if they dont have any further developments by then, is this stalling by them or purely the backlog of customers they are dealing with on PPI ?
Ive only had one of my two claims returned stamped too which is odd, they dont seem very on the ball to me, I have a few loans that had PPI on and so far only claimed on 2 but the other two i imagine they have spotted as part of their findings of what monies I borrowed, what had PPI and how it was resolved, just time now to wait longer, anybody else had any troubles ?

Been told I will now be contacted by writing with a decision by Natwest no later than August 3rd, dragged on far too long now but the end is hopefully in sight and not another "your case is taking longer than planned to assess we will contact you within 4 weeks" which ive had twice now, its been at calculations for 4 weeks now too.0

Official letter from Natwest saying they will be in touch 3/9/2012 at the very latest, I rang them today to see if anything was on its way to me, they said it could be another 4 weeks and to disregard the letter stating when they originally said they would be making a decision, asked why is everything so unprofessional and actually got told on the phone "dunno mate just the way it is" I was gobsmacked, really dunno whats going on.0

Hi there,
I have just had a letter from Natwest explaining I will be getting £3000 back for PPI claims for one loan which has now been paid off and a further £1000 back for PPI claim on an existing loan I have with them now ongoing.
Can anyone tell me if this will go straight into my bank account or will they use this £4000 to pay off my ongoing loan? Or will they just use the £1000 to pay off my ongoing loan as the old loan was paid off, so surely that should be £3000 in my pocket without having to pay of the loan I have currently running with them now.
This sounds a bit confusing but I hope someone knows what im talking about.
Thanks for your help in advance, please reply asap as i want to book a holiday lol...

Hi all,
Finally got the golden letter from Natwest today, upheld and paying out £9749.00, well worth the wait and did it all myself with £0.00 going to a CMC, gotta wait the time for it to go into my account now once i send the acceptance letter back but really happy and could not have managed it so well without the help of this website, thanks very much to all that aided me most notably Amersall, thats me sorted now and I hope all the others chasing PPi stop by MSE first, the advice is worth thousands alone. Thanks again, very pleased and glad its over now and I can sleep at night a little easier now. Take care everyone and good luck newbies.0 -
So pleased for you Banana - your case sounds very similar to mine (natwest, consolodation, front loaded etc). Been dragging my feet a little but gonna make sure questionnaire ready to go by Monday! Hope you have an amazing weekend - pretty sure you will!!!!"Washing ones hands of the conflict between the powerful and the powerless is to side with the powerful not to be neutral."0

Thankyou, it took a little longer and I found there PPi team most unhelpful when telephoning them, I was sent official letters by the department manager stating definate answer dates but every time i rang on those dates the staff there said to disregard the letters and to wait, admittedly they had 5 PPi claims to check out so I accept it would take longer, just got a reply back from Black Horse on 3 claims but no PPi on because id lost the paperwork I wrote to them but they replied within 7 days so was impressed with their attitude, Ive a few more with BMW to chase now but so far Ive won back in excess of £10,521 so really happy, itll pay off a few items that were making life difficult for us and make each month a little easier to get through but moreso it taught me a valuable lesson not to borrow money that may be difficult to pay back if circumstances changes, which the recession brought for me, but i can pay a few loans off now and watch my credit score go back into the 950's like a few years ago.0

Sent acceptance form back to Natwest exactly 2 and a Half weeks ago, they say they still have not received it back and are sending another out, makes you laugh, delaying tactic they use for many I see, their customer service is abysmal I will just be glad when this is over with.0
