I'm unaware of anywhere that will test you for free. Perhaps you could contact NICE or DoH and ask them?

hi just done a complete search of the scientific literature for Gareth zeal and i cant find a single paper. can someone please confirm that gareth zeal is a fully peer reviewed scientist? and also please can someone tell me where i can have food intolerances checked for free? theres no way in the world someone would make you pay for fundamental medical information like that

Hi mascherano, I don't have that information for you. As far as I know Gareth Zeal is a vegan sports nutritonalist if that helps.

Is it specifically a vegan nutritonalist you want?

If not, you may have better luck looking in the yellow pages or putting up another thread in the health and beauty section.

This thread is intended for vegan chat and not for medical advice, which I think is what you may be looking for.

where is the best place to go to get checked for intolerances?

You should know all about intolerance with your posts recently!

Your GP can arrange for intolerance testing to be done at a local hospital. Lactose intolerance is usually established by a simple test but it must be done by qualified personnel so going to any quack could prove to be fruitless - I know of one person who was told they had an intolerance to wheat because stones landed on her belly the wrong way up. So yes the established medical profession should be the way to go.

I was just wondering how vegans feel towards pesticides & fertilisers (which would then kill animals in rivers etc). Do vegans only eat organic food?

Personally I do my best to only eat organic food and try to pad out meat both to save cash and reduce meat consumption.

    I was vegan!

And plan to be again...I feel pretty horrible about eating dairy.

Btw I haven't put this thread here to debate about veganism, if you don't agree with it put yer own d@mn thread up :p

Perhaps you'd like to open a thread to address any of the questions you have :)

My msmiller, welcome. Is there anything in particular that's stopping you being vegan atm? Someone here might be able to help you if it's what you really want to do.

Sorry sleepymy, I had read the post but didn't mean for my question to be 'debating' veganism, just clarifying what it meant.

I'll post it in the discussion forum, any views welcome!
