Just popped over from mummys diary where you were all talking about shoes etc and thought I would come to post my thoughts and I see that mummy has a new job of personal shopper :rotfl:
I was coming to recommend Brantano - I have checked and there is one in Colchester.
They sell Clarks shoes and some other good makes but at reduced prices so I always shop here for the kids shoes.0 -

Evening!
Well i'm back from London, had a good, tiring few days. I kept a spend diary and tried to stick to budget
So Wednesday I put £50.01 (blooming penny!!!) in the petrol tank, so i have £150 left of that budget for the month and a bit left in the tank :T
I also spent £5 (approx) on food in asda to take to mum's house. Paid off the car tax onto budget card. Bought DD a pair of shoes (that she didn't need) £8, and a dress to match £4. Then felt guilty so bought ds2 a spiderman top & trousers :wall: £10- Oh and he also didn't need them
Thursday we went up to Leicester Sq, so two tickets on the tubes/trains were £11.70 , 2 bottles of water in theatre were £4 :eek: and lunch at yates for me, ds1 and dh was £28  (he met us there in uniform. So if you saw a soldier wandering around trafalgar sq last thurs with a frumpy woman & teenage boy, twas prob us)
Was a good day though and we wandered (well tubed it) over to Stratford to have a look at the olympics stuff. I got distracted by the Primarni in Westfield shopping centre though and so actually didn't see anything:D Oh and -£9 on some bits for ds1 after having guilt over spending on the other two :rotfl:
Friday was another day up london, we again paid £11.70 for travel & I spent around £45 on food and drinks throughout the day! That was for me & 3 kids though and also included a bottle of wine:rotfl:
Saturday I took ds1 to Te$co for some food for dinner. Spent £22 out of my £25 budget cos i bought mum some bits for the house (i.e washing line propper thing- £3.44:eek:) I also bought a top up for ds1's phone. Although between the pair of us, we bought the wrong one so i now have a top up for a network i'm not with :doh::wall::wall::wall: *f3ckin' Idiots!*
Sunday we had a BBQ which was more like glastonbury as my sister decided to fill the paddling pool up. With 2 dogs, 9 kids (we have 7 between 3 of us, so not entirely sure where the others came from :think:) it turned into a complete mud-fest :rotfl: Oh and i also spent around £20 on bbq food and alcohol:shhh:
I got home today to an email from my tenant. ne of them has done a moonlight flit :wall: I should like to know why it is that I have absolutely no luck whatsoever with that darned houseSo i need to send another contract out for a new tenancy for just one person. Also she decided to list a thousand SMALL jobs that she could really do herself. I.e looking through the cupboards herself for the plumbing she can't find (grr)
Anyway never a dull day eh. I'm going shopping tomorrow and my AF order is due also. Then will work out what i've spent from this month's GC budget! So far though without tomorrow's shop it is £85.20  That is one third gone and only a week in :rotfl: although i will have all my snacks etc for the month in the af order so hoping the kids won't be asking for new ones every 5 mins!
Oh and this evening i painted my bathroom:T It looks lovely and shiny and not holey and dirty now! And i used silk paint so i can clean it up if kids dirty it again !!!
Right i'm very tired and off to watch grand designs now and chill out! So will catch up with all the diaries tomorrow now :TMORTGAGE BALANCE when we moved Aug 2024, £120,000. January 1st £118,267.06.
