Morning! Yes you're right it was a very balanced meal :rotfl: (much better than what i fed myself anyway!!!! :bdaycake: :D )

Well i had around 13 hours sleep, give or take the odd 20 mins the kids or dog had me up in the night!!! The poor pup got his paw stuck on our stupid back door where there is a little ledge type thing and his nail/claw got stuck :( poor thing was yelping in pain and i had to pull it out :( there was blood everywhere. After it came out he seemed ok though so i didn't bother with vets or anything (plus it was 9.30 in the evening!) this morning he is walking on it so i assume it's ok. Means i need to re-mop the kitchen floor though and follow blood trails up the stairs and bleach it clean!

    Jobs for today:

[STRIKE]Finding a locksmith for Wales () [/STRIKE] Just had a phone call whilst typing, have sorted that out now, god knows how much it will cost to change locks though :( apparantly the lock is broken but i think it is what i've had several times before, tenants wanting a brand new lock so no other old tenant may have same key!!!! Locks were checked last week and were fine!!!!
    Parcelling up ebay items
    sending ebay items
    Tidy front room
    wash up
    clothes washing
    Tidy bedrooms
    quick clean of bathroom
    hang wash out

Have already checked online banking and pay is due tomorrow as is tax credits. There is a little extra in the pay which i was going to transfer to savings, but i may need it now for locksmith. Also £20 extra on TC so may transfer that, will get my bill first and go from there#!

Am hoping my AF order will arrive before Wed afternoon when i leave to go to London.

Right another cup of tea is in order. then will get on with washing up. I hate a dirty kitchen. Then will do the ebay and get dressed and go send it. Have had some of them nearly a week oops!

    Poor doggy, hope he's ok

If you are having that as a regular thing with tenants can you not put it in future leases saying broken locks are charged to tenant. You can say that the lock was checked whilst property was empty and any damage after that date is down to tenant. I know its probably not as easy as that and I would probably want new keys myself but would be willing to pay for the privilege.

Sounds like you have a busy day planned.

As for the kitchen, humph are you sure you are not my OH, :D he can't even cope with 1 teaspoon in the sink. I however, like a clean kitchen but can let the dishes build up to be washed once a day.

    Have a good day x

Pup seems fine :) still off his food though? Am wondering if it is time to put him down to just 2 meals a day, he doesn't eat much. He seems to still be growing so hoping it's ok !!

The kitchen, well that is one area of the house (oh and the bathroom actually) that has to be spotless. The bathroom for obvious reasons usually to do with boys not looking what they are doing, yuk. And the kitchen because of raw food etc. DD got really bad food poisoning when a baby (have to say wasn't my fault this time lol, she caught it out at a restaurant and there was a big enquiry into it as the dr's surgery had to report it etc.) and since then i've scrubbed my kitchen clean nearly every day with bleach  (OCD anyone???)

And good idea with tenants paying for themselves! I seem to get the bad bunch everytime. perhaps they try else where and are turned down and i'm last on the list, with MUG written all over me :rotfl:

Have also hoovered downstairs, mopped kitchen floor and obviously been to Post office to post parcels :T

Time to relax with a cuppa quickly then off to take dog for a walk after lunch i suppose! Looks like rain again so hoping it holds off until we've walked him & lunch is done as the kids are out the front playing!

  • Second wash is in :T so all jobs completed for today :D

Have just spent half hour checking dd's, so's and transfers due out of account over the next month. Updated some to accommodate for new spends or spends that we don't have anymore. I've managed to transfer over £37 to the panic fund as it was left over money from this month :T very happy with that. It's now up to £140.14/500 ... I'm also due some PP money in soon so will transfer that straight over too.

I've got 2 spendy days this week, both involving tube fares, bus fares & lunch/dinner out! So have tried to do a realistic budget for these and have worked out we can have £100 for both days together. So Thursday & Friday will eat up most of our entertainment (and money from elsewhere as we're not allowed £100 for the month ) But the good news is on Thursday, the theatre tix are already paid for and on Friday we were planning the same old haunts, i.e science museum & natural history (FREE yay) so literally just food & travel :)

I've decided to do cash again this month coming. So tomorrow i will take out £650. This will be divided as follows:

£250 food (have already spent £47 on AF order so taken this from the £300 budget)
    £200 Petrol
£70 to friend that i bought laptop from!
£25 Car Tax fund in PO.
    £100 cash for days out!
£5 is left over but can't take £645 out of cash point!

Tonight i will be making a dinner from freezer, we are actually still pretty stocked, so my panicking at having ds1 home may be my fault for over spends on food budget! Well on actual meals anyway, he has actually eaten all the snacks, tins & noodles etc to himself practically! So hopefully AF will sort that out ;) and as for meals i asked ds1 what he fancied on the meal planner and no.1 on the list was tuna, pasta, sweetcorn & then spag bol :T so am thinking I may just stick to the 'old' grocery lists i used to get which were mainly pasta meals as the kids seem to like these best, no moaning, all eaten up and light on my pocket :D meaning more money for either entertainment or panic fund :)

Am fed up of looking at the spreadsheet now, i do it every day, i pray so hard that money will miraculously appear on there but alas, it never does! So off for a slice of cake & some tea now me thinks ;)

Today is payday smiley-happy023.gif YAYAYAYAY! I made it to the end of the month without raiding the emergency fund (again), with food in my cupboards, freezer & fridge  (see told you i panicked) & with a wee tiny bit of petrol in the car :rotfl: smiley-happy112.gif

I have transferred £15 to dh's account. He just called as i was doing it and asked for £100 for the month smiley-angry006.gif he got that reaction from me, and a NOsmiley-angry007.gif. I have £100 to spend on the kids on 2 days out in london which was pretty much all that was spare if he wanted £100 i'd have to take it from that! He seemed to take that ok :D I think he was quite happy as he thinks he only has to stay until he 15th now :T as another lot of soldiers are taking over the paralympics :T

I'm debating a NSD on payday. This is completely unheard of in my house which is why i find it quite a challenge smiley-cool11.gif I do indeed need petrol, toiletries & other bits but i feel it's nothing urgent and if payday weren't until Friday say, i'd eek it all out. So am debating staying in (is awful weather anyway) and packing for our weekend away and finishing jobs around the house :) we shall see though, eh

Need to go take out half the cash today and half tomorrow as cashpoint won't allow me to take it all out at once. Most bills are coming out tomorrow, and all savings pots have been topped up this morning so already there is a few hundred gone from the wages, doesn't last long eh!

Emergency funds are soooooo near to being half way there. Have updated my sig 240.14/500 (48%) and tomorrow i have £16 due in from pp so may put that over to savings (or at least some to make it 50% :rotfl:)

I need to write a meal plan really, haven't done it yet as i'm away this week so haven't bothered. But when we get home next week the fridge will be empty so need to organise a meal plan today even if only for one week at a time :D

    Hope everyone is well :)
