Good Morning :j
Well Dh made it home yesterday :j i went to pick him up shortly after posting on here, he was only the other end of the county so I thought I could make it on the petrol in the carWell firstly the sat nav was broken  it just wouldn't switch on! Then secondly i thought, how hard can it be to find it!! So off i went, found Romford easily enough, also Chigwell. Then nothing, no signs to where i needed to be and i knew it was only a few miles in between each of these. I ended up driving around and around and asking at least 4 people and noone knew where it was  the map on my phone was utterly useless so instead of a 50 min drive it took near on 1 hour 40 mins  so we had to top the petrol up for on the way home
luckily no money from my bank was used as i had £10 on me! So this morning we said our goodbyes at the train station and sent him off to work that way :rotfl: he is supposed to get free travel in and around london, other people that he works with have told him they've got home for free (home being several hundred miles out of london) so he thought he would chance it. I've not had a phone call as of yet and he got on the train 40 mins ago so am assuming all is well :rotfl: (hope so anyway lol)
Right anyway back to today. I've packaged up a bundle to send off that sold on ebay. I only charged £4.75 as that's all it would let me put but i think the parcel feels a lot heavier than £5 worth of stamps!
This afternoon we're going to a friend's house as she has her pool out. NSD for definite today as nil money left
Need to check my bank this morning the last of the dd's are due out and money was due in (PPal) so need to make sure everything is still balancing
I will check out what everyone is up to later as didn't have time yesterday! Need to bake a cake before Saturday too for ds2. Am thinking a choc fudge one so may need to get some choc fudge filling (as i have no idea how to make it myself)
Anyway i'm tootling off as need another cup of tea !!MORTGAGE BALANCE when we moved Aug 2024, £120,000. January 1st £118,267.06. BeeeeeJeeeeezus!!! Crickey what a morning
Parcelled up the bundle to take to post office, tried to wake ds1 up so he could come too so he could stay outside with the puppy (wanted to walk him at same time) well blow me down, that is like trying to wake the living dead! Gave up on that idea, and thought that I should just try and do it myself with pup. So off we set. DS2 manages to fall over his feet 5 times and we are only 10 feet from the garden gate  so i put him in the pushchair that i had only bought along to hold my parcel:o:p So off we set again. No real problems until we get to the post office and i've no idea how to do a proper knot (knew I should have stuck with girl guides
) so after fumbling about tying him i say to DD would you like to sit with him as it's right near the entrance of the door and i can if i crane my neck still see her in there. ...whilst i am faffing about trying to come up with a solution (i didn't want to leave puppy as several have been stolen recently around here, hence i wanted ds1 to come along!) i didn't spot an eldery man [STRIKE]crawl[/STRIKE] creep in in front of me! So off i plod thinking, 3 mins tops. Get to queue and only old man there. He has a car tax to renew :wall: and seems to have forgotten where he has put his car insurance, and his mot and whatever else he needed :wall: Ok i think 10 mins tops, it's ok dd is sensible and there was another mother out there that i know stroking dog so i think, it'll be fine. Old man finally finished, so i saunter up to the counter thinking, right finally 3 mins tops :rotfl: and who should walk in, oh yes, the ruddy post office man with security bag thing that is on a timer and he pushes straight in front of me!!!!!! He has about a zillion bags of coins that need sorting -there and then OBVIOUSLY :wall::wall::wall::wall:- and then when i finally think he's through he comes back with another bag!!!!!!!!!! AND then decides to talk to us about 50 shades of flipping grey. By this point i am turning 50 shades of red  and so kindly say to him- f**k off if you're done my daughter is outside by herself
:D- finally get my turn!!!!!!!!!! AND the parcel is 65p over what i charged :mad::mad: well that was it, kinda flipped out (internally of course, always a smile on the outside
) and stomped off outside. DD was fine was sat right under cctv, other people around, pup still there. I felt awful though like a complete failure of a mother for making the decision to leave her!!
So decided to let dog have a run around off lead as there is a green near post office. Let him off and casually mention to DD 'oh next time we will have to bring a stick, he's old enough now to fetch it' so off she runs to find one (out of view!) so i call her back and she says it's ok it's just here, so i let her go, turn to dog to make sure he hasn't run off. Turn back around, and yes, DS2 has disappeared .... gone. can't see him anywhere :eek::eek: i again flip out this time very outwardly and everyone walks away from me muttering, council estate chav or something similar  and i run around looking for him  Dog is still loose and has followed me!!! S**t i think, so try to grab him, the lil s*d thinks i'm playing so runs into the shop :doh::doh: i then remember in my panic i've left dd outside by the green! so i've a dog sniffing out the sausages, dd outside, ds2 god knows where and i'm about to have a break down there and then! Dog all of a sudden jumps into my arms, so i run outside and grab dd as she was starting to panic. We head back to shop as i think well ds2 must be here somewhere as there is nowhere he could have got to so quickly (bearing in mind this is only 3 mins since he ran away) , search the shop and can't find himnoone stops to help me look (i know i would have offered) and all the mothers that were outside 5 mins previously have disappeared so noone could tell me if they saw him! I go back outside and hear a small cry...............the little monster had gone and locked himself in the disabled toilet just on the inside of the shop :eek::eek: I was so angry, relieved and exhausted from screaming his name i nearly fell on the floor!!!!!!!!!!!!!
WTH, all i wanted to do was post a parcel, take the dog for a quick walk and go the heck home!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Why oh why does everything have to be such hard work around here :eek::doh::doh::doh::doh::huh::huh::huh:MORTGAGE BALANCE when we moved Aug 2024, £120,000. January 1st £118,267.06. OH and ds1 has been invited to his friends house in london for a day, his friends mum is in charge of some bands so has got free tickets to some gigs this weekend, so that will cost me £20 at least to get there as i need to top petrol up
why do things HAVE to come in threes
am not feeling the love from anyone today
and worst of all he's only there for a day or so, it's crap and a waste of time in my opinion (but yes i am old, and i am grumpy) i've decided to leave ds1 there when he's finished as his friends mum has offered to drop him at my mums (just a train ride away) so he can stay there until i was due to go down on Wed next week anyway!!! Was gonna let him stay after my visit but he can do his 'time' before hand now.
Phew long rants today, well done (and sorry) if you got to the end!! I feel better now thoughand hopefully my afternoon will go without a hiccup!!!!

My god. You poor thing. I know what you mean. Its funny to everyone else but so terrifyingTrying to shift that debt!0

Oh God, I feel for you. I think I would have had a melt down - if it had been me I'd have blamed ds1 when I got back, I'm terrible like that. I feel lucky now the age my kids are and all that has passed. Losing them was terrible. Time always dragged and you were sure the area had been taken over by child abductors and you'd never see them again, then the relief of finding them and as soon as you gave them the once over and hugged them to you like your life depended on it, you were ready to kill them for scaring you like that. Then the guilt for being such a crabit mum.
I am so not jealous. I miss the fun of toddlers but the constant 24/7 needing eyes in the back of your head and 20 arms I am glad has passed for me.
I'm glad everyone turned up safe and sound.
Its a pity we couldn't babysit via this site, I'd have watched them for you.0 -
Wowwwwwwwwwww, any wine left? I need a glass just reading that post, how terrifying and exhausting, but, I have to confess it was very funny to read, because it had a happy ending.

:rotfl: am over the whole incident now (thankfully!) and everytime ds2 has gone away from me he has been called straight back! He keeps coming to me saying 'mummy will you cry if i go and hide again' argh~!
Had a lovely NSD sat in the sun :T am not counting the postage to ebay as worked it all out and i overcharged on some other parcels sent last week so it all evens out*phew!*
I've also received some money into my account today :T £800 from my tenants who have moved in today :T £525 has been deposited in the DPS already so that i can't touch it. And the rest is yet to be decided on what to do with. Originally i was going to do the gutters on the house but i'm thinking we may need the extra money this month what with summer hols  but would like to get the jobs done asap. I think what i will do is get a quote, see how much it is and decide from there!
Have a few ebay items ending tonight. Will see what is sold, what needs re-listing and sort it all out later. I need to re-sell the rugby boots that i bought for ds1i bought them half a size bigger than what only last week he was measured at and they are too small
not happy but seller doesn't issue refunds so think my best bet is to re-sell them! Will have to look out for another pair now (and this time am going one and a half sizes bigger!)
Thurs tomorrow and another nsd :T
Friday i'm travelling to london, have found £25 in the car fund (which is for repairs really....) and have transferred to main account and will use as petrol on Friday. Will drop ds1 off and then come home.
Saturday NSD and am baking cake for ds2 birthday on the Sunday.
Sunday, ds2 birthday! hopefully another nsd :T
Monday -payday eve! So will have to be another NSD!
Tuesday - PAYDAY :j:T:j:T:j
Oh and forgot to say i've been accepted onto another survey panel, was sent an invite for it and passed the initial screening :T so am awaiting confirmation now and a password :T
Have also been sent out a tester to use and fill in a form and send back, will be paid £3 for thisand the tester was edible so we had great fun testing that earlier
Nothing else to report for nowso will go stalk ebay for a bit :rotfl:
