Sorry popsicle,
I'm not in much of a MSE focus type mood, so will pop back to meticulously pick apart your SOA in a little while. I have my eBay head on.

do you really spend £200 a month on petrol  this is why i dont have a car. i know you have to use more when you pick ds1 up, but that is high!!!!
Also presents at £60 a month is pretty high. they are the only things i can really comment on. You are doing very well.
Although, if sky is your only "treat", could you maybe get a freesat box instead. one off cost of about £40 from argos, fits into your sky dish and you get some decent channels.
Unfortunately yes to the petrol, and that is a conservative budget, we often go over.:( We visit ds1 school every month which is a 230 mile round trip. Then we only use the car for shorter journeys which uses the petrol just as much as longer journeys because our car is a gas guzzler! To fill it up costs £90 which i do on pay day then by mid month if not before i do it again and then £10 here or there when i can afford it.
And yes i'm thinking along the same lines as you for a freesat! xxMORTGAGE BALANCE when we moved Aug 2024, £120,000. January 1st £118,267.06. Oh my GOD.
As if my day couldn't get worse after already being told that my tax credits are to be cut by £210 a month........
* DD has come home from school ill,
* I don't think ds2 has a nursery place for september.
*My ds1 laptop has finally given up the will to live (has been on it's way out for a while though).
* I've just received an email stating dh's mobile phone bill is £43 and £21 was on internet allowance (apparantly it's not free ).
* My father has just text me after being awol for 3 weeks with a very worrying text
............and i'm just about to have a huge meltdown can feel it coming on:(:(

Oh hun,
Try to resist the meltdown, take everything as face value and think rationally about solutions.
Re: nursery place, who else can you get onto. If it's a local authority decision, can you start an appeal?
DD is ill, a bit of calpol and let her sleep it off.
Get onto DH straight away, and inform him about the bill. I'm sure the internet access will soon stop. Get ebaying to make up the deficit.
Thats it - I'm all out of suggestions for the moment. Sending you lots of hugs.LBM 30/6/9 Unsecured debts [STRIKE]£25,323.48[/STRIKE] £0 :T Debt free

Nursery places are upto the nursery itself to sort out. I'm so annoyed with them i've had ds2 name down for a whole year now and no chance of getting him anywhere else now. People are literally fighting over school/nursery places here it's absolutely ridiculous and the only reason i sent ds1 to boarding school in the first place because of lack of a decent school. I could cry i'm so frustrated with them.
DD feeling better after calpol.
DH has been ordered to call o2 and get a bolt on for internet or else he's not to use it
I'm most worried about my dad though and can't even say why on herehave resorted to the biscuit jar to placate myself
am going to the gym later though will be good to get out, for free and use some energy in a productive way rather than out on the husband, kids or whoever happens to be passing me

Just echoing the others above. You know where we are if you need a good rant.
Hope the little one is feeling better after Calpol and hopefully a sleep.
Glad DH is sorting out his phone bill for you, thats one phone call you dont need to think about.
Can you keep DS2's name on a waiting list at all just incase people change their minds, move house etc or doesnt it work like that ? Its been a while since I had to deal with nurseries and I cant remember.
Understanding you cant post abotut your dad, but I really hope whatever is wrong it is resolvable and as for the biscuit tin thats what its there for in times of stress. I hit the Choccie Biscuit tin for breakfast this morning, noe that was really bad .
Hope you are getting some sleep and wake up feeling more positive tomorrow and ready to tackle the day ! xLBM July 2011 - Finally took control Nov 2011 DFD Sometime in the distant future !
