Afternoon all :j
Well it's finally pay day :j
Today has been a HSD (as in HIIIIIIIIIIIIIIGH spendy day!!!):D
I've sorted out the car insurance- Paid £74 deposit and £33 a monthcouldn't comfortably afford to pay it all at once so i decided to pay the apr on it (of 24.9%:eek::eek::eek::mad:) but if i had done it i would have had to clear out the school fee fund, emergency fund (what is left of it lol) and the car fund  so not worth it!
MOT booked for Friday 13th :eek::eek::eek::eek::rotfl:
DR order is here- steak for dinnerand i got a big shop in £98 in aldi :eek::eek: i very nearly needed 2 trolleys for it all :rotfl: so cupboards nicely stocked
:T
Petrol in car- which has been fixed by hubby so is working again :T:j £82!
Car tax card- £25 on it. (running total £50 now)
2 parcels sent - 1 something i sold, 1 a birthday present for nephew.
£25 on top ups for ds1 phone & mine .
I've no tax credits paid in yet or child benefit OR holding fee from tenant  so once DD's go out we are officially skint until we get money from these other places!
This month I have set some mini goals for myself:
*save £200 in emergency funds
*Get service & MOT done for less than £200 (service done by hubby & friend so that cost £53........let's see if we can do mot cheap now!)
*organise some cheap days out for kids (have some ideas here )
*get items on ebay for 99p!!
*Keep food budget under £300 (we've already spent £208 this month :rotfl: but that was on DR meat which should last a bit longer than a month- esp the mince!)MORTGAGE BALANCE when we moved Aug 2024, £120,000. You have done a lot today
One day it would be lovely to pay insurance in a one off payment but at the moment we are not in that place yet.
I love starting a new month as i love thinking that maybe we can stick to the budget this month - it nearly always goes wrong at some point but i keep trying - trying to save holiday spending money this month as we are house sitting in july for sister who lives near the seaMe, DD1 19, DS 17, DD2 14, Debt Free 04/18, Single Mum since 11/19

I have managed to pay for my car insurance in a one-off for the last 2 year so was a bitboo-hoo that i couldn't this year lol. But like i said i'd rather the emergency funds there in case of disaster!
And same here to starting a new month, i have a fresh page on the budget for spends and i always think, right this month will be the month to be in on all my budgets. It's never happened yet though :rotfl:gargrave50 wrote: »DFW - I'll have whatever you are having!

Right well since i was last on i've more spends to tell
...I have bought 3 bras from ebay, all came to £36 with p&p included. You might think it's a lot but i can usually only buy from Bravissimo and each of their bras is £25+++!!! So was happy with that, and all are brand new :T:j
.... I went to B00ts and bought hair dye, vitamins for the kids, nail polish for DD (like she doesn't have enough already!) and some other bits that already escape my mind :rotfl: (clearly i needed them really badly) And that came to £25!
I then popped to sainsbug as they have a clarks there so wanted to get dd shoe size, she is a 9G now and has been squeezing in an 8 for a whileoops! SO will peruse ebay later see what i can find in her size, if nothing there may need to grab a pair in town tomorrow.
Then i left sainsbug got in car and it wouldn't turn on :eek::eek::eek::eek::(:(:(:(:(:(:eek::eek::eek::eek: SO 50 mins later an RAC man turns up. The new starter motor that DH fitted is dodgy (re-conditioned) and isn't working properly ........Cue lots of groans, sighs and Nooooooooooooooooooooooo's from me. Anyway he got it started but said it wouldn't be long before it conked again:(:(:( DH tried to call the breakers yard that we bought it from and boss had already gone home  so we have to wait till tomorrow. I want my money back so we can go buy somewhere more reliable  I'll be so angry if they don't give us the money back!!!
So anyway that was my day. I've also had steak, baby potatoes, asparagus & corn on cob for dinner in case you wanted to knowmakes a change from the strange concoctions we've made up from freezer this last week :rotfl::rotfl:

Yay to that!! I'm also *ahem* well endowed in that department and I know what it's like having to pay Bravissimo prices!
Sounds like you have had a good day (apart from the car) Xx

Well , I'm a few days behind with your diary as I seem to be all the time at the moment, but first of all I jsut wanted to say congrats to you and DD1. Your proud mummy moment was and is lovely and very very well deserved I would say ! Is the Theatre trip to see anything good ? And the Marching Band, well that wouldbe amazing if he has managed to get in ! Keep us posted.
Sorry to hear the news about the car again, our reconditioned part did come with a guarantee for a year although think it is playing up slightly now and the year has nearly expired. Hope you get it sorted !
As far as your lovely bras go, dont even get me started, I am sure I have had this conversation here before, or maybe it was someone elses dairy, but I am so jealous. I have to wear triple padded, huge mungous things to even look like I have any boobs whatsoever. Once I am debt free, top of the list is a boob job for me !!LBM July 2011 - Finally took control Nov 2011 DFD Sometime in the distant future !

He's going to see Matildaso it's a very good job there were no tickets left on kids go free theatre week for that as i was going to buy some :rotfl: i've booked him to see horrible histories instead with me so he'll be going to the theatre two months in a row -good job he likes it :rotfl:
And yep i recall having booby conversations before :rotfl: but you may not believe it but i am just as jealous of you because you get to go to a normal shop and pay cheap prices and i can't wear anything remotely sexy or shapely or pretty unless i pay £40+:eek::eek: My friend had the right idea by getting a boob job and she can wear what she likes and always looks better than me! pfft! lolMORTGAGE BALANCE when we moved Aug 2024, £120,000. well today i've checked the bank and done the sums for monday when the majority of the bills are due out and after they have been taken out i will have £37 left !!! So really hoping tax credits, child benefit, tenant pay up soon or i will be seriously broke!
We're going to a carnival today but the sun has decided to disappear and it's now raining. Will leave it till about 2-3pm to make a final decision on whether to go i think as i can not be a££ed walking around town with two moany kids whilst i'm getting drenched!
I've already done the washing up, cleaning & just need to put one wash on, then i can go dye my hair and chill out for a bit!
ALso must find myself a tenancy agreement for new tenant i was supposed to have sent it by now oops!MORTGAGE BALANCE when we moved Aug 2024, £120,000. January 1st £118,267.06.
