Well kitchen is clean, washing done, i hate the washing, i'm sure i have mentioned it like fifty times at least but it is my most hated job  never ending!
Well no email from tenant yet but she did say she was working. i'm just impatient!
I've also worked out DH should be getting £300 extra each month he is away.....after tax i've no idea if there will be anything left but if there is i might try to put it aside (so long as nothing crops up) and try to make an extra payment to the cccs before the end of the year to try and boost payments!
So my cupboards are bare, the fridge is empty, the freezers have ice cubes & chips in and i have no car at the moment. So if the car is not fixed we will be eating chips for dinner. With maybe a tin of carrots or peas if we're lucky :rotfl: Local shop is londis and they don't sell very much but i guess if worst comes to worst i will have to wander down and grab a pizza or something to feed the kids with
DS1's last day is next friday :T:j and i am contemplating giving ds2 & dd to my mum for the day so i can relax without worrying if they are going to run out in front of the school kids whilst they do their parades, and prize givings etc etc. DH might be going too if he can get a day off so could be a chance for us to re-connect.
I also have a confession. I had £40 in my purse for food this week and i was very weak last night and sent DH out with £10 and ordered him to not come home unless he had a bottle of wine & chocolate with himso 1 quarter of my food budget has gone on me and now i feel a bit bad ....but not as bad as i should do :rotfl: it was well worth it and i have enough for tonight too
sanity.....can't put a price on it huh!

Pet insurance is sorted out
£7.75 per month (with one month free) and I got back 1,000 nectar points for going through confused.com. SO £5 back there too. It's a maximum benefit one with pet pals so looked good to me
and the £5 nectar points can go towards christmas! Also looking at going through confused.com for car insurance so be another £5 back there too. Will sort that one out another day when have money though as they want a debit card payment whereas the pet insurance will take a DD out on 2nd July
car still broken. Not a flat battery. DH and a mate are looking to fix it. I've given them a budget of £245 for all the faults & MOT........:rotfl: let's see if they can do it as that's all the money i have saved for the car presently! otherwise will have to raid emergency funds!

You should not get an Overpayment for Tax Credits last year as long as your DH did not earn more than £10,000 than what you had stated.
The difference will be in this year but if when you get the notification for this financial year if they have estimated DH's earnings as similar to last year (when he got bonuses) you can call them and give them a revised estimate and this will then increase your payments again.
You can so your own DMP - there is a website called CashFlow which is a Government scheme to encourage people to do their own DMP's and you can also speak to an adviser or you can use the CCCS website to get the financial statement and then contact your creditors yourself.
My DH is doing his own DMP, at the moment he is paying £1pm to each but this will increase shortly.
All his creditors accepted on the first letter.
I prefer self DMP's because if you want to pay off smaller debts you can do so and nobody cares whereas when you are with CCCS they have to treat everyone the same.
If you need any help let me know0 -
Hey all
Well today has been a LSD :T had to send a parcel to ds1 it only cost 90p or thereabouts and had cash in my purse so nothing from the bank (which is empty anyways lol)
I'm over my little heart attack about the price of things in the co-op (had to go there cos car weren't working) and £17 is just ridiculous for 2 bags of things  but a useful reminder to stick to aldi
Shopping list is nearly done for Friday! And I have a list of things that need doing on pay day! I have to purchase my car insurance pay day as otherwise I won't get my £5 nectar points (and i really need those -not sure for what, yet)
so will do that then.
Ummm i'm awaiting an email to say the holding deposit for my house has been paid. And I now have a date that they want to move inSo september onwards should be ok. :j:beer:
I've been told there is lots of cheap school uniforms in tesco but haven't a car to get there (about 5 miles away at least) and no money, so will have a look on payday if car is fixed....if not then i won't lol! And speaking of shops and cars, i've no idea how i will get my monthly shop if the car is broken :eek:!!
I think maybe I ought to look at getting a home delivery, but really loathe to pay asda prices when Aldi is much cheaper:rotfl:
I'm also gonna look at ebaying everything i have left in my room for sale.....everything must go at 99p type thing! Am really sick of looking at it all now lol so think i will have to .....plus don't want to be stuck with it all i winter (lots of summer stuff!)MORTGAGE BALANCE when we moved Aug 2024, £120,000. EE- i'm still pondering on the self dmp route....i think when my finances settle down a bit more (if they ever do) i might look into it as i know i can easily cut out 5-6 creditors within months and only be stuck with the few bigger ones to deal with .....i'm just worried about them all re-instating the interest so will leave for the mo.....! xxMORTGAGE BALANCE when we moved Aug 2024, £120,000. That's a relief about the car, DFW. They can be such a costly little necessity.
Good luck with the DMP pondering. I find I overspend when the kids are off - 2 whole months from Thursday
That's just on taking them visiting or to the shops, teenagers always find something to buy!
Can I ask you how to go about getting a nectar card? I've looked on their site but don't see anything other than a credit card. I got 1,000 points for getting my insurance through confused.com, but don't know how to collect them. Same happened me this last few years and I hate that I'm losing out on them.0 -
