Today I am on a roll.....and when I say roll, if you were to see all the mess i've made this morning you would actually think I had rolled everywhere :doh:I've managed to knock over my tea TWICE, knock my DD's smoothie over (this is not fun to get out of beige carpet _pale_) and i've also made DD cry by standing on her foot oh and by making her read a book (so that's twice in an hour). I also got tea all over the kleeneze catalogue which came through the door yesterday, which happens to be my friend's new business
not looking forward to telling her ...i think I might put a small order in just to make it look better that I trashed her magazine
:wall:....I'm now considering going back to bed
On the up side, after all we must always look for the silver liningi've sold a pair of old wellies for £2 and also received a letter saying I still have some shares :T which i'd totally forgotten about (see told you I was terrible with remembering things). P.s talking of silver linings, has anyone seen the silver linings playbook (i think that's what it is called?), it's very good ...umm anyway, shares, I have £176.2867 with them (i'm no mathematician but how do they work out the .2867? Surely they would just round up to .29p???) So I will add this to my saving for the future funds :T, I would add it to the emergency but it's quite a long process to get it out so I can't see how it would be any good in a real emergency :rotfl:. This now means I have my future fund off to a start, woop :j
Yesterday was a NSD, DH gave me the £3 back I gave him. And today it's raining cats and dogs so a DVD day me thinks. Plus I made the £2, so we're up £5 rather than down :T
I'm so glad I did all my washing yesterday too, can't see much getting done now until the weather has dried up  hope everyone is having a drier and sunnier and more interesting Saturday than us! :rotfl:MORTGAGE BALANCE when we moved Aug 2024, £120,000. Hey dfw,
I have just finished reading BOTH your diaries!!! What a journey you've been on! When I started reading, your DS was 1 or 2 I think, & now he's off to school! I've read all your ups & downs and comings & goings, and wanted to tell you, I am so proud of you!
What happens now with the remaining money SC have of yours? How much do they still have? I am so pleased you will soon be DF, you deserve it! Do you have a long term plan for your property in Wales? Are you going back to work?
Sorry for all the questions, it's been a fair old read!

2nd load was great! I used 1 teaspoon!!! and around 3 tablespoons of vinegar and everything came out sparkly! Am going to try 2 tbls of vinegar next with same amount of washing powder and see how much I can get it down before it starts looking too dirty :rotfl:scottishspendaholic wrote: »Hey dfw,

Xxx:rotfl:I can't believe DS2 is off to school i'm dreading it
he's my baby still! Do you know I was thinking the exact same yesterday about the money SC still has. I was trying to work out how much they have left but I didn't have a very clear head on and couldn't work it out
will log on to their system later and have another go :rotfl:...as for the property in Wales I want rid of it as soon as I can. 300 miles is just too far for me to have an active interest in keeping it. And where I eventually want to settle will mean it's even further away. At present though it's in negative equity (as I guess a lot of our houses are) so can't get rid of it unless I want to add to my debt (no way!) As for work I have a part-time childminding/babysitting thing starting next week :T so until kids are settled in school that will do for a money earner and once they have settled properly I will start to look i think. But the thing is I don't feel settled here and I desperately want to move back to my childhood home (in Lincolnshire) and until I do I just keep putting off things like getting a job as I feel it's another noose around my neck holding me back
when in reality it would probably help. I don't think much sense sometimes though:o:rotfl: I hope you'll stick around
:D

[STRIKE]Morning! [/STRIKE] <---- scrap that it's actually afternoon now :rotfl:....today DS1 was up and about at 7am having a shower  this was a big  as he usually doesn't surface until 12pm at least :rotfl: ya know what with him being nearly 15 and all  ...turns out he has whatever I had yesterday and whatever ds2 had at my mum's house. Temperature, feeling boiling and a massive headache! I had it yesterday and just felt 'ughhh' all day. But you know what it's like we just carry on but ds1 has protested this morning that he must have something different as he feels like he's going to drop dead (:rotfl:)
Anyway onto other matters, I have had a good old spend up today, as I routinely do just as things are looking up  on the upside I got 40% off peacocks today --->http://www.hotukdeals.com/deals/peacocks-free-delivery-20-off-1639439. Click here first though ---> https://www.paypal.co.uk/shopping/ ..and I bought DS1 some jeans & a onsie for his birthday. Myself a rain coat as I don't have one and some knickers minus the holes and plus some elastic :rotfl:. I also ordered some bits from Matalan as I had a 20% off voucher.. With discounts I spent £85 between the two shops and got lots to show for it so not all bad. AND I deleted the 4 dresses I put in my basket, just cos they was pretty, like.
:T. I also ordered a birthday card from M&S for 60p using this ----> http://www.hotukdeals.com/deals/2-99-off-m-s-personalised-greeting-card-2-99-0-60-postage-with-freecard1-code-0-1639923 I personalised an 18th birthday one to make it a 15th birthday
and paid 60p for it :T ds1 is nearly finished for his birthday now :T I will give him the onesie and put cash in his envelope :T. No other spends to confess too, promise
My head has cleared a bit from yesterday and i'm sure that was what was making me spill everything (gotta blame something, right?) as I felt dizzy and un-centred all day!
Going to tidy up the house today whilst DH takes kids to the zoo and maybe make a cake. I slept much better last night so feeling a bit more like a person today rather than a zombie :rotfl::) hope everyone is well :jMORTGAGE BALANCE when we moved Aug 2024, £120,000. Oh forgot to say DH made some Pink Lemonade yesterday that I referred to just now...He bought sparkling water, strawberries and lemons and blended up the strawberries and lemons and added to the sparkling water with a bit of sugar. It tastes yummy and much better for me than cola to which I've a bit of an addiction come the afternoon when my energy slumps! Will get him to write the recipe down so I can make it when he goes away with work next month :TMORTGAGE BALANCE when we moved Aug 2024, £120,000. January 1st £118,267.06.
