  • Morning people :j

    I am super tired today and wishing I were like this --->:j when in reality I am more like this ----> smiley-sleep002.gif as I didn't get to sleep until 3am :(! Got myself out of bed though early as I need to start getting into some sort of routine. DH is back at work next Tuesday and kids are back the Tuesday after (:beer:). I've made £3 this morning so feeling better already :rotfl:will give that to DH when he takes the kids out later for ice-creams or drinks.

    Washing's on as it's dry today :j will try and catch up on that whilst DH is out with the kids and the washing up which should be easy as the DW is working :T.

    In other news:

    DEBTS: now at £4, 182 :beer::j:j:j
    We're down to 5 creditors left :) and 4 haven't replied to f&f offers :( (1 wants slightly more) so am assuming that is it now, I might call SC in September to see what is going on with the rest of the money they hold from us. I'm assuming they will pay it off the rest of the debts, spread equally across but I don't know when this will happen. I still have £1,000 in my bank account from the £6k dh gave me for the f&f so we will use that straight off to lay down against them once we know for sure they are not settling.

    You are so close to paying everything off - i am really happy for you and maybe oneday i will get there too :) And great news the dishwasher is sorted. Any recipes for dishwasher tablets?

    I keep having late nights as i just cant get to sleep and ideas and jobs i need to get done just keep whirling around my head so i know how you feel. Have a quick nap once washing is on the line and kids out.

    I know it's strange, I still have £4,000 left but I can't remember the last time I had this little debt that I am still happy about it :D!

    I googled dishwasher tablets/powder/gloop whatever and MSE forums kept coming up :rotfl: so I had a little look and lots of people recommended white vinegar for rinse aid (which I already have in plentiful amounts for everything else ;)) and normal run of the mill washing powder that you use for clothes :eek: so I tried it last night and everything aside from glasses came up clean :T I then googled this problem and it's a regular occurance with hard water areas so i have a load on right now with more white vinegar and less washing powder (a teaspoon this time) when it's finished I will update you :T all we had to buy for the DW so far is the salt and a hose! Hopefully the washing powder will be a winner with the new amounts and I won't need to buy / make anything seperate :)

    I've just spent all afternoon hanging out washing, getting dry washing in, naming all the kids clothes with a sharpie :rotfl: and watching catch up t.v :T have a roast chicken to cook yet too so will do that after i've hung next wash out. How's things with you slm? :)

  • oh gosh, look what happens when I have a child-free day, I spend the entire day on and off of here :rotfl: sorry for the upteenth (?) update :D

    I'm debating opening another bank account but have stopped myself for the time being, after all I already have 6 or 7 (lost count?) my current account is used for DD's going out, money going in from tenant, DH's wages, child benefit & CTC. I'm debating the 7th or 8th account so that I can transfer money over on payday to it and I can use this for pocket money/shopping/petrol. I was thinking if I transferred enough for one week at a time it might help keep me on track and then I can leave the card I currently use at home. Because sometimes I take it out thinking, hmm, I have £300 in there I think I shall just treat myself. Obviously that £300 is usually ear marked for a bill :o so I am wondering if another card will be a good plan so I can keep track of spends, the closer I get to my DFD...and obviously beyond. Just thinking out loud and writing it down it does seem like a good plan actually :) but i'm rather worried the bank will think I have some strange obsession with opening new accounts, putting £20 in them and never topping them up :o:rotfl:.

    In other news, my washing basket is finally empty :j:j:j

    I am very impressed :D It is about twelve years since we last paid for a whole year. The thought of it got me reminiscing with Mr P about our previous life before we bought the money pit,
    business mortgage £0))''(+ Barclay's business kitchen loan £0=Total paid off was £96105 PPI claimed and received £13527
