Thank you for the link DFW. I am going to order some igredients. I have lots of essential oils so no need to buy them.
A recent problem I have found is that washing up liquid and laundry liquid disappear really fast. Yesterday I witnessed MR P putting w up liquid in the sink. About a third of a bottle!!! I don't want to put him off washing up. I am thinking of watering it down.
I hope you are feeling better today. Pizza causes me to 'dump'. Gives too much carbohydrate too quickly to your system, causes too much insulin production to reduce sugars and it then causes a big reduction in energy and I usually pass out!! Not a very good description as I am not a medical person but how I understand it works.business mortgage £0))''(+ Barclay's business kitchen loan £0=Total paid off was £96105 PPI claimed and received £13527

Yes that was how I felt PB I was fine before eating it and then literally 20 mins after I'd had it I was upstairs zonked out! Felt dizzy and sick afterwards. BUT i know this will happen and yet I still eat it every now and then??? I don't even particularly like pizza so i've no excuses for doing it again
It also causes horrible IBS
!
Well today was not a nsd. I dropped DH & DS1 off at the train station and DD & DS2 & I decided we would go onto the zoo. So I popped into a$da first to get some lunch as it was half 12 and I ended up spending £38!!! £22 was on toys.......:o:o:o:o My dad called the other day and promised the kids some money (tenner each) and they've been bugging me ever since, he won't give it to them until he sees them so i've kind of subbed them the money and will re-coup when he gives it to them (if he does now!) The rest was spent on lunch, doggy bags & white vinegar. Will add the £16 to the grocery budget that I spent on food. No spends at the zoo as we have passes....DH & DS1 will be back on Sunday. They're helping his mum move house. It's costing us £65 for tickets there and back
I shall keep shtum though
No plans yet for the weekend. It's just the two little ones and me & the dog so maybe some cheap days with dog walks are in order!
I checked SC and they're showing the tax bill as paid :T (obviously I know it was written off but still it looks good) so their total is the same as mine in my signature atm :T can't wait for August's payments to show up
DS2 is outside atm playing spiderman & ironman with the neighbour's little one and DD is playing babies' hospital in her tentthink a cup of peppermint tea is in order and a browse on here

Oh I forgot to say I paid some of the £300 that was in my current account into savings ...i didn't feel safe having it within debit cards reach  (yep read that as I don't trust myself not to spend it if it's sat there!) So i've divided up £150 between pots that needed topping up! £60 to rental house, £80 to car fund & £10 to something else (I have such a bad memory
) it's all within reach if needed but it's an effort to get to it, I have to log online and move it about, so I felt it was safer to do that! Now I only have £150 to fritter (which I will try not to do!) Tenant still owes £440 this month so i'm hoping I will have money for a few trips out this summer (unlike last summer
!) and also make sure everything is 'topped up' and maybe even some into the ISA that is sat there looking sorry for itself with £1 in it :rotfl:

I made myself a cup of coffee this morning :coffee:I'm a tea drinker usually but thought i'd try coffee again. I thought it was a good substitute for Cola & other fizzy drinks that I crave by mid-afternoon  i'm sure plenty will argue they are as addictive and as bad as each other but I need some sort of caffeine kick to keep me going most days
This is only my 3rd cup of coffee ever. The first someone gave me when I was 18 and being sick from too much alcohol
:o it was black and strong and ewwwww. Put me off it forever! The 2nd cup came in the same way, from a kindly friend trying to make me feel better the morning after :rotfl:So this morning it had milk & 1/2 sugar in it. It tastes ok actually, much better than my first 2 ventures into coffee drinking :rotfl:Anyway coffee tasting over for now.....
Today I will:
*Put washing away. It's accumulated in the corner of the living room, all clean but needing sorting and putting into right rooms and cupboardswhy haven't they invented a machine to do this yet!?!
*Do washing up
*Hoover
*Walk dog
*Find something for kids to do indoors, it's threatening rain and not sure I can deal with the soft play today, it was packed in there yesterday  really quite stressful! Am thinking dvd afternoon and snacks, maybe a picnic dinner indoors ???!
*Check banking and see what's pending for Monday and transfer DD money over to cover whatever is due. Also do my rounding down into emergency funds!
Hope everyone is well and has better weather than the East side of the country at the moment!MORTGAGE BALANCE when we moved Aug 2024, £120,000. January 1st £118,267.06. Banking done! Lo and behold; SHE has paid! Not all, that would be too much to ask
but she's paid me £200 so only £240 to go this month  it's a miracle I tell ya! Money paid into funds and now everything is topped up to where it should be :T Any extra money this month will now be moved straight into the ISA to get it off and running
it still has £1 in it
Funds as they stand are:
Emergency fund: £812.87/1000 (1st target then i'll aim for another one)
Dog fund (food/vet/whatever): £52
Prescription/Dentist:£30
Car Maintenance: £130/800 (would like enough to cover insurance, mot & any emergency that arises so I don't need to dip into my emergency pot)
Rental Fund: £385/1000 (would be nearly £500 but I had to get the gas safety inspection done this month...£1000 is my first target)
ISA: £1

Hello DFW, :hello:
Every time you write about the frustrations of your tenant, I find myself saying a little prayer of thanks for mine (who are veritable angels in comparison)!
..Although, a few years ago we did have one who was 'a pro' (tenant, not lady of the night, lol). The closest she ever got to being up-to-date with her rent was £400 behind, and it was a relief to wave her farewell with only £300 owing, including cost of a deep clean because she let her cat carp on the carpets!
Which ISA have you gone for? Keep meaning to stick the House Maintenance Fund into one as it's earning diddly-squat where it is, but every time I look around the interest offered is so disappointing that I leave it and wander off to do something else (gardening usually).0 -
Hi Robin *waves back*
I've only had one good tenant the whole time I've had my house, I'm beginning to think it's true that the Welsh really don't like us English, so much so as soon as I get a new tenant they think " let's screw her about with the rent" lots of my debt is from that house. I was a mad woman buying it lol
My ISA is with hsbc purely because I bank with them and it's easy to move funds to it online. I confess I don't really know much about aprs etc and when I was looking around for one I got a bit baffledMORTGAGE BALANCE when we moved Aug 2024, £120,000. January 1st £118,267.06.
