  • Thanks penny, plmbl and dfod ( welcome!) I feel slightly calmer after taking the car out to order my prescription and then sitting in the car for 20 mins in peace!!! I text my dad whilst out and was honest about the money situation but have said to him to let me know what days he is free and I will see what I can do. Best case is we could go there and have some free days out and eat in that would be cheaper and may be do-able I don't think he understands some of us are on a paupers budget! :o

Nsd today and yesterday so 2 positives to be thankful for :)
Paid £75 across to car tax fund at p.o don't include this as a spend though as its a savings fund :)

I must start doing my positive affirmations again....surely they will help on days like this?! 'Everything is in divine and perfect order. Right now' :rotfl: nope it's not helping yet! How about, "I am rich, in mind, body, spirit and purse" right to the point :p......

    (((DFW)))

Have you been taking your Agnus Castus??:rotfl:

Men..........................I could go on all day as well about my DH but luckily for me Agnus sorts it all out.

I even told DH on Saturday (when he was lolling about in bed at nearly 9 o'clock and he hadn't been to let the animals out) that I felt like killing him
HIs reaction was to ask if I had taken my Agnus? :rotfl:

Of course I hadn't at that point but I was only a few hours late :rotfl:

Finally I have found borax and soda crystals.

DH needed to go to an Aladdins Cave near us aka Hardware Store for fencing things so I said I would go and look for things I don't need and lo and behold I found some :rotfl:

Then I couldn't remember the measurements so I half remembered you talking about kilos so I brough 1 kilo of each and 4 bars of soap

Now I have come home I realise I only need 226g of each and 1 bar of soap:rotfl:

Luckily they also had square storage containers with lids that stay attached and you just lift them up - it must hold loads so I got that and now I realise it was just as well :rotfl:

So I am going to have a go at making this and will report back.

Have got seperate grater just for soap!!

If this works (which of course it will) I will move on to white vinegar - I don't think the Aladdin's Cave do that in bulk :rotfl:

Just to clarfiy the post above was on 22/6.

Glad you mentioned washing powder again - I think I have made a bit of a boo-boo again:rotfl:

So off we went at the weekend to Aladdins Cave on the understanding that I would stock up on the washing powder ingredients as I had nearly run out. But do you think I checked your thread for the measurements before I went.........No of course not that would be too easy :rotfl:

Nearly had a heart attack when there was no soda crystals on the shelf but luckily they had some in the store room :T

So i thought last time I got 1kg of each - this time I better get 3kg  (well the storage box is quite big and I know the powder works better then my usual tablets).

So.............I have 6 boxes of Borax (only 500g each so 3kg) but didn't realise the Soda Crystals are 1kg each so I have 6kg  of them plus 6 bars of soap.

Last time I did a kilo each of Borax and Soda Crystals to 3 bars of soap so I reckon I can do 2kg of each to 6 bars of soap :j

But I have got home from work - DH and DD been at home all day and they have attempted to make it without instructions (can you see a pattern emerging:rotfl:) and they have done 3 boxes of Borax = 1.5kg, 3 boxes of Sodas Crystals = 3kg and 3 bars of soap :rotfl::eek::eek::rotfl:

Guess I better get grating :rotfl:

Next time I better get it right - I am also expecting MI5 round due to all the Borax I have :rotfl:

EE that's hilarious! What on earth is Agnus Castus? I've found an Aladdins Cave near the house we've just moved to, so I might have to go take a peak inside as it looks like fun :) Hope you're feeling a little less stressed now DFW xx

Agnus Castus is a herbal tablet or liquid that helps with hormones.
Some women take it to regulate their cycle when they are trying to conceive but it is also very good for PMT.

And I have to say it is the best thing ever - no longer do I want to throw things at people, shout or burst in to tears.

Hopefully DFW has been taking hers as I really notice a difference if I don't take mine.
  • Agnus Castus sounds like someone from middle earth, perhaps hes lost in an aladdins cave and can only be freed with copious amounts of washing powder made the the right consistancy but you dont get the instructions.

    :)

  • EE- Thank you for reminding me!!! Since the holidays started I have been so slack taking them I forget most mornings :o it used to be part of my routine but routine has been thrown out the window of late! This might explain some of my hormonal imbalances of late :o:o....tablet taken today, and hopefully lesson learnt there!!

Shopping needed today so not a nsd. Just need basics and toiletries though so hopefully not a huge spend, i'm determined to have a low grocery spend month (if that makes sense :rotfl:)

DEBT: £758.52 has been written off as of today :T The bill we had with tax office is now in credit and they owe us. I bet it takes them forever to pay what they owe us too.....Total debts as of today: £5880.49 :j:T:j hoping to get this under £5k soon when the other debts that have been settled are finally paid :D
