  • I'm back from town :j

Library was packed! got a few new books for kids and brought old ones back.

Spent £10.42:j so within budget for week! Got a few treats in that for kids as weather is turning again :( so we have play doh, colouring in books & a few snacks for a film later :T I also bought the kids some drinks whilst out! I forgot theirs from home so could have saved a bit of money there :(!! Then DD dropped her sausage in a roll .......omg you would have thought it was the end of the world coming the way she screamed :eek: And then DS offered her his one (bless him :A) and she nearly threw that in a fit! So i had to drag her into wilkos kicking and screaming and eventually she calmed down when she found some quavers!

Then we had the long walk back to the car and made it there just as it started to rain :T:)

So safely back indoors for the day and nice easy dinner- Pizza & chips :) I like lazy days

How do sell on Facebook? Do you do it through your own page or is there a separate area? I don't use it really, I have an account, but only use it to access information otherwise not easily obtainable.

  • evening :)

Facebook sales up to £15 now so long as all are picked up :D this can go towards my reiki course!

£6.99 on ebay (listing finished today i read it wrong lol)

SO that can be £20 once i pay fees on ebay :) just another £25 to go!

PIq: I put in the search bar at the top of facebook page: things for sale in essex (or your town if large enough for it's own one) and then just joined everyone i could see lol. I also got recommendations after that from facebook as a few people round here have their own page for selling things -if you have lots and lots to sell i would recommend this way as you can control what goes on but you then have to go find people to look at it. I found it easier to add local groups then just make an album like you would normally but set privacy to 'public' go on each selling page and post a link to the album and then say open to offers please look! (then copy and paste and do this to all groups!) I go on once a day to bump up my album sometimes more but even when i don't people tend to trawl through and look anyway :) I find i make far more money on facebook than ebay -no fees, no postage as people are local, and on the pic i put SSTC (sold subject to collection) but don't remove pic until picked up. That way if they don't turn up just delete the comment -simples.

Sorry long explanation for simple thing i do like to ramble :o

Hmmm sounds like maybe I need to do a U turn and become a Facebook convert, although I have 12 things listed on ebay at the moment which are all doing ok x

Glad your lazy day went well DFW, i am sure I have a whole pile of half used colouring books lurking that my two are far to old for if you need them, it would save you buying them after all ! x

  • Oh yes please Mrs P :D only if it's not too much trouble to find them.

I prefer fb, but you may have higher value items than me in which case i prefer ebay for that. And i got rid of all my high value items either before LBM (i've been using ebay for years) and spent the money on more tat or just after LBM so only cheapish items left now (until the kids outgrow the next lot of toys and clothes :D)

Right well today was supposed to be a ME day. Won't happen as DH in London and i'm with kids! So forgetting about my planned day out i'm just going to have another lazy day maybe a small walk with kids (they don't get very far without feeling tired though yet!) and then DD is off to her 1st ever party later and it's dress up as a fairy or princess :D she has had her dress and shoes sorted for weeks :rotfl: she is a proper little girl! I think I may also have a cross-dresser on my hands  DS2 loves wearing his sister's dresses, outfits for playing in (princess, nurse, etc) and so i think i am going to have to make some money next to buy ds2 a boys dress up outfit. Just so he has the choice! And if he still wants his sister's outfits, oh well, she will just have to learn to share :rotfl:

Bank Hol tomorrow and i'm doing nothing. All my friends seem to have their partners/husbands home so i'll be on me tod! Ummm nothing else to report as still half asleep! Oh yes there is, i'm going to attempt to make a lasagne later. I don't really like them so it's my second ever attempt :rotfl: i think the kids will like it and I know ds1 loves them so if i practise enough he might eat some next time he comes home (he is a little wary of my cooking :rotfl:)

Thanks for the FB information. I only have a named page, no details about me, no friends :( So it might not be the way forward for me. I only use it to access companies advertising jobs.:(

My middle son used to dress up with his sister, wearing fairy outfits, going to ballet classes with her for about six weeks. He's now a 6'4'' builder and seems as normal as a member of my family can be! One year, when about three years old, he asked for a toy hoover for Christmas. Duly bought, received and played with for months. Now he goes nowhere near a vacuum cleaner :rotfl:
