Thanks for the FB information. I only have a named page, no details about me, no friends
So it might not be the way forward for me. I only use it to access companies advertising jobs.:(
My middle son used to dress up with his sister, wearing fairy outfits, going to ballet classes with her for about six weeks. He's now a 6'4'' builder and seems as normal as a member of my family can be! One year, when about three years old, he asked for a toy hoover for Christmas. Duly bought, received and played with for months. Now he goes nowhere near a vacuum cleaner :rotfl:
Piq
 your son sounds like mine! His favourite toys ever: his hoover, 2 irons, ironing board & his sisters dollies  husband has started to worry :rotfl: i don't particularly care
He's a really cute lil one too with golden curly locks (which i've let grow a little long) and dh keeps demanding we cut his hair so he looks like a boy instead of a girl! I disagree i think it's his good looks and little cherub face that get him out of trouble so often :rotfl: therefore we have to keep it as it is !

Hi DFW
Sorry I had a chuckle as well about your river incident, must have been awful for you.
My DS had a hoover, cooker, playfood etc and would still play with them now I bet if they were still around. He will still play Polly Pockets with his sister though if he thinks no-ones watching, but he also likes his lego, footie, scooter etc so I don't think the girl toys will have any lasting effect on him.
Hope the weathers decent for you to get out and about with the little ones xxx0 -
@brizzle lol i am here as if i'd ever desert MSE, i'm an addict i'm afraid :rotfl:
@choo...i told my mum and she nearly died from a coughing fit from having laughed so hard *hmmm* :rotfl:
Well today i've decided to set myself some personal resolutions, i've been reading a few blogs, forums & articles on self-coaching, life-coaching whatever they are all called *too forgetful!*
So I have decided to set these goals and there is one i would like some help with please (will get into this one in a mo) and the others i will have to just try and do off my own back  until DH gets home (then maybe he can help!)
SO:
1) I have for most of my life been a naughty, constant, every other word user of profanityI feel so embarrassed by this. I was brought up quite well, I went to good schools, and yet I have a very very serious problem with being able to express myself clearly in the heat of the moment! So I would like some help with alternative words that people use instead of f**k b****r b*****x and whatever else comes from my mouth! My problem is that i have a slight stutter when i get angry upset and i can't get the words out i am trying to say (usually non swear words honest :rotfl:) and so frustrate myself and end up with a string of expletives until i calm down :o !!
So i am going to try and stop this issue i have (and i absolutely hate swearing so much i can't believe i do it so often) i've found lots of sites that agree it takes 21 days to break the habit. So I am going to keep a log of how many swear words i say :rotfl: this may seem mental to some people but i really hate this part of me and want to change it....this kind of leads me onto :
2) Fly off the handle at everything that upsets me in the slightest! So i feel if i can control my anger a little better it will help me loads, with stress, headaches, teaching the children not to do it, relationships in general :rotfl: SO i need to try and find ways to cope with this. Perhaps counting to 5 or 10 not convinced that will work though! I haven't always been this way just lately it seems worst and i think it is due to stress in other areas of my life upsetting the balance!
These two once completed, -note i WILL and CAN do this- will then lead onto other personal goals.wish me luck ma Mofo's! (only joking there your not really

Have just given the kids some reiki on the sneak whilst they are watching Sleeping beauty. DS kept telling me to get off as it was making him sleepy
so i just pretended to cuddle him and gave it anyway :rotfl: 10 mins in and he was nice and relaxed (after he'd been crazy running around 5 mins previously) and another 10 mins later he was fast asleep
DD kept telling me my hands were hot and tickling her lol and she is now calm and relaxed too :T good job as they were driving me nuts running around and it's raining and too wet out to go out (they've both got horrible colds)
another hour and we can leave for dd's party! and then i shall begin work on the lasagne :rotfl:
In money news: have transferred money to dh for food. He's having to eat out of camp as there is no cook house after all and it's expensive so had to give him £30 to last the week. Although this can be all claimed back so won't add it to my expenses :AMORTGAGE BALANCE when we moved Aug 2024, £120,000. January 1st £118,267.06. Wow are you me? I think I could do with reading some of these sitesPrepare for the unexpected - £477.02 / £10000 -
you sound like me too, my mum is always telling me off for swearing and everyone says my ds1 is getting a temper like me. i can fly off the handle for the slightest thing, but it is normally built up over a series of small things.
love that you did your reiki on your kids and ds fell asleep bless him
oh and i too laughed at the puddle incident. well you laughed at me on my diary, so think we are even lolPAD Maker0 -
well i've only sworn once in front of the kids :T ! And i think it was a well deserved one! I burnt myself being the clumsy oaf i am  and 2x when they weren't there! But i'm counting and don't want to swear at all so i will get better, and surely now i've started noticing every time it will get better
DD had a lovely time at the party but i felt awful for ds who wanted to stayand they did in fact invite us both in but i had rocked up in old jeans, no make up, hair scraped back and timberland boots on lol.........everyone else was in their sunday best (literally lol) so i made excuses came home and just arrived back 15 mins before it finished so ds could play on the bouncy castle -in the rain! Note to oneself: make sure i look my best before dropping dd or ds off anywhere in future! And it was an officer's house in a posh bit of the estate I should have known really lol!
Kids hated the lasagne. DH told me after i had cooked, i was probably better off blanching the pasta. Bla-whating? cooking really doesn't suit me. If i had lots of money the first thing i would hire is a cook over a maid any day. I think that says it all reallyKids also didn't appreciate my victoria sponge i made so i'm not impressed as i spent most of the afternoon in the kitchen!!!!!
