Oh my goodness Cosmic.........have you been clearing the warehouse out of those bars? Were they going through at 1p per box?
Congratulations on such a haul, you guys are the bees knees when it comes to this, I really need to pull my socks up and try a bit harder!:p
Each packet (6bars) costs 40p (careful some shops are scanning at £1.99)
5 boxes per case, I have a brass neck :rotfl::o got that haul in just 2 shops.

The I love you mum thortons chocolates scan at 1p.
I made a mistake once, believeing people on the internet were my virtual friends. It won't be a mistake that I make again!

    :T:T:T Well done
Meat is my favourite whoopsies but last night it was only being marked down to half price at 8.30 so I didn't bother waiting for final reductions. There was lots of fillet steak too:(
I noticed they've also changed location of the whoopsies fridges.
What time did you get these tonight?

To be honest it depends, but usually the meat and ready meals get done last after the bakery and fruit n veg.

Tonight was a nightmare as nobody wanted to do it as it was nobodys job tonight. Its good when this happens as it all sits on the shelf at 20 or 30% off and nobody wants it....they all go home and us stalwarts get it for 80 or 90% off when they do finals and theres usually plenty of it.

I'd advise taking some time and lurking around one or two nights to see what actually happens to that meat later on. Don't be afraid to flutter your eye lashes or wear a nice low cut top and ask a few questions iyswim. Alls fair in love, war and whoopsying ;)

This is why I don't generally do DTD's on batteries (have done once just so i had a few in the drawer for emergencies) or strawberries, and other assorted oddments.

The store I wore out my welcome in I'd only done 3 DTD's but they were all huge so well worth having to give that one a wide berth for a while.

Thats how I treat dtd personally.....unless its big I leave it alone.

Strawberries for dtd???? I bought mine whoopsied last night for 20p. No need to 'waste' a dtd opportunity on stuff like that imo.

Each to their own of course.

I'm the other way around I don't have courage/b***s to go for big ones so I tend to chance smaller everyday things if I see an OOD SEL. I won't scan them first either just in case I'm being watched and they accuse me of knowing beforehand. :o

I have had 2 bigs ones for me both alcoholic ones. :rotfl:

Went for a full 6 bottles once but only braved one bottle of champers. :D

Wool27 was definitely the expert when she was down this way, I bet loads go unnoticed in my locals now. ;)

Just to add, I wouldn't make it hell for the customer. More to the staff not changing/checking the tickets. No OOD tickets, no DTD. Simply really.

You wouldnt because its not your job to manage the price integrity team. What would actually happen is you'd get fed up of whinging to the price integrity team after you've had a roasting off the managers for how much DTD you are giving out and would then take it out on the customers instead.

    Simples innit :D

Other way around in my store, meat gets done first, then ready meals and fruit and veg around the same time, need a partner in crime as I can never be in both places at the right time. Bread and cakes usually starts as these are finishing. Deli counter stuff is last to go down to decent price.

Totally agree about lurking to see what happens as in one local they take all the meat/ready meals out the back. I always thought I was getting there too late when the shelves were empty. ;)

Talking about limits. The biggest I've done is 6 bottles of wine.

But I would never go and pick up say 30 packs of strawberries. No where near brave enough. Or even a Better than half price product I would only pick up 2 or 3:o esp with this Mark about:rotfl: maybe the batteries p!ssed them off this morning, hmm 10 packs might not have been sensible. I had a £6 wys £40 I wanted to use that's the main reason for 10 to boast the spend up. However it had ran out:mad::o

    Hi all,

Thanks to those (few :p) who said it was nice to have me about the place again. :o:o:o

Thanks also to those nice enough to drop me a 'Thanks' PM for hosting Happy's tutorial. Very kind indeed, folks, but it's no problem, really. I'm happy to do this for any of our own.

I will insist, of course, that it gets linked on the 1st page of the new thread. :p

Anyhoo, talking of those not around; has anyone heard from Sunshine, or Meerkatsmimm lately? Hope both (and their new babies :A) are well. :)

Peed off a bit at T's tonight. Popped over to pick up nice Oral-B toothbrush for DS (at 1/4 price with Exchange CC vouchers ) with a plan for a wee Price Flop Cake and veg shop.
Guess what? No magazines! Disgrace, a shop that size.

So revenge was taken in the form of removing all the 40p Brunch Bars they had. :T

    Time for bed.

    OB

    Edit: Cici-k, congratulations. :T :T :T

    Finally...
