At least rhubarb is one of your 5 a day, and I always thought birthday chocs didn't count :rotfl::rotfl:
Happy birthday, tomorrow is another day. I was going to diet big time while my OH is in hospital, does not seem to be happening! What is this life if, full of care, we have no time to stand and stare0 -

I've only ever used the conditioner method on my girls, and it should be even easier if your son has short hair! Just wash the hair and smother in conditioner, then run a nit comb through methodically so that you cover all areas before rinsing. Repeat daily as the eggs will gradually hatch.
Beats harsh chemicals in my books, and has worked every time for me

I've been experimenting with this lately. I too didn't realise that the product had to be on two different discount structures in order for an amount to be deducted from your shopping than was greater or equal to what you paid
I can't remember what I bought exactly on my differing test runs but I can give you some numbers as an example. (I've just read my post back before submitting and I apologise that the following is perhaps a bit too wordy but I dont have time to make it any more succinct)
Let's say there were 2 items with original price of £2 each, marked at 2 for £3 (so a multibuy saving of £1). They were both whoopsied down to £1 each so I thought I could buy 2 for £2 and then the £1 multibuy would kick in giving me both items for £1. It didn't work because it wasn't a double discount offer that was programmed into the till. I had no grounds for complaint as I got the products at the price marked and cheaper than the multibuy promotion
Another time I bought 3 whoopsied veg products that were all labelled with red stickers saying "3 for 2 - cheapest item free". The SA noticed it didn't knock off the lowest item so she just cancelled it on the receipt. So I got my 3 whoopsies for the price of 2 whoopsies. Had I paid for all 3 (which I very nearly did!) I would have claimed DTD on the lowest price item that I shouldn't have paid for which would have given me 3 items for the price of 1
Another time I got 2 lots of fruit labelled with red stickers that said BOGOF. The BOGOF kicked in automatically at the till so I got 2 whoopsies for the price of 1 whoopsie that time. If I had paid for 2 then I would have claimed DTD and got them both free
Based on these experiences I now know to focus on whoopsied items with 2 different discount structures and also BOGOF/342 red labels. In the case of BOGOF/342 I would definitely seek DTD if I had to pay for all the items
I'm still waiting for the day that I am paid to take away any whoopsies!:starmod: DO IT NOW :starmod:0 -
Good evening everybody, hope you are all well and happy.
Not be on for a while, since i fell of a ladder, shattered my arm and then spent 2 weeks in hospital with a bad infection where the bone had come through the skin.
Still in plaster but now back home and getting out and about. :j
No doubt i've missed plenty of bargains and hundreds of posts, there's no hope of me catching up so I'll just start from here.
So a big HELLOOOO to everyone.
WB Milo90, not good to hear the bone didn't like to heal, but good that it's on the mend nowCall_of_Trouty wrote: »Just tried buying 2 x triple pack of jaffa cakes @ £1.54 each then using the price flop coupon, but was refused.
Waiting to hear back from CS as according to HMRC they are cakes
Very true, HMRC to treat them as cakes, but see from a later reply, that CS weren't having any of it
mgamble Happy Brthday
I went into town today, found a local scene jigsaw puzzle that will be lovely to do.
Went to Tesco's, couldn't for the life of me remember what I wanted to buy, then I remembered, I was only planning on wombling 5p fuel spits! Alas none to be seen, but when shopping for whoopsies this evening, I'll have another look
I agree with whoever posted above, that long T's receipts usually give little return, but conversely I've found, long A receipts tend to do rather wellThe mind is like a parachute. It doesn't work unless it's open0 -
RootedNomad wrote: »BOGOF doesn't usually work on whoopsied items. It is usually only where there is more than one discount offer on the same range that it works, ie if something is on say 3 for £5 AND 5 for £8 or whatever - needs to be a multi offer
BOGOFs have always worked for me on reduced items, it's only the single multi-offers that haven't worked, eg 2 for £2.500 -
Also can confirm 2x little salami packs £1.50 or 2 for £2 work with price flop coupon.:starmod: DO IT NOW :starmod:0
