Lala has let me off the hoovering for 5 minutes to chat to you;)
You're doing a splendid job, I'm sure it will taste lovely after all that brandy infusion and just have a little bit of confidence in yourself. The flowers are beautiful and I would love to see a picture when its finished.No doubt I will be giving you 10/10:T
P.S what's the black for?
Sounds like Lala has adjusted to her new role very easily and becoming quite a slave driver! She'll be hiring you out as a multi-skilled workperson (have to be politically correct;)). Don't let her get too comfy as her arm will be better soon and she will have to go back to spraying polish in the air!:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:0 -

Sounds just like lala!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
The writing will be in black yes, but Im not looking forward to doing that as I can imagine that there's no going back with a white background..0 -

When my DS made my mothers day cake, he wrote out what he wanted on the computer, then printed it off and cut the letters out and put the paper letters on top of the cake to check they fitted. Then he cut the letters out of fondant icing using the letters he'd cut out as a template and put them on;)It took him ages to get the letters just so but it looked really effective.
Nannylala says your right, no going back with black icing so just have a good few practises before;)Beware!!!! Glitching is addictive:rotfl:0 -

Edit: I'm doing lamb chops ( can't marinade them they're still half frozen)
Roasted baby potatoes ( cut in half) carrots and onions
My plan is to crush a chicken stock , mix with olive oil and herbs , then roll the potatoes around in it before roasting.
Was just wondering if it was worth trying to 'flavour' the mushrooms?
I can see you have planned ahead..:rotfl::rotfl: I wouldn't bother marinading as they may go a bit slimy. Roast pots sounds lovely though, yum. I'm going to nick that idea for tomo as I bought 2 bags of pots from T earlier.Tiger :cool:

Westie, cake's looking great, you must have the patience of a saint to be able to do all of that intricate stuff! Can't wait to see the finished article.Nannylala says "that would be lovely, it'll look so nice you won't want to cut it";)

My MIL made our wedding cake, I cried when I saw it it was gorgeous. Didn't want to cut that one either, but our nasty, greedy guests made us!! (Still got the top tier and all the flower decorations though.) I'll dig out a pic if I can find one.
Gwrys yn Kernow! :j0 -

That sounds exactly like my DD1!
On her first wedding day, I was making some sandwiches for when my MIL arrived before the ceremony. Unfortunately I cut my thumb when I was slicing the cheese.:eek: It was bleeding so much that I had to go to A&E. When I arrived, I told them that my DD was getting married in 2 hours time and luckily (and with the agreement of those waiting already) they saw me straight away. I was more or less fine until the doctor asked me for the bit that I'd sliced off, so that he could sew it back on again. :eek::eek: I hadn't even realised that I'd sliced any off! He did 'whatever', bound it up, put my arm in a sling and told me to keep my hand elevated at all times. I was back home within an hour. Got to the church ok but had to get someone to hold my hand up behind my back for all of the photos, as DD1 didn't want anything to spoil her pics! :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:0
